The lead singer is Gary Levox. Interesting tidbit is Gary was roommates with Jamie Foxx at one point and they remain friends. Jamie joined them on one of their albums.

This was my wedding song. My husband and I dated in high school for 2 years when we broke up. We were apart for 22 years and found our way back together. This year marks 20 years since we got back together and every morning I still get butterflies.

I'm with you user...my husband and I met when we were 13, had a 3 month puppy love relationship, were separated because of my father was stationed overseas. We lost touch for 18yrs. Found each other and in a whirlwind, we talked on the phone every day for 8 months, we had one date, got engaged, got married 3 months later. We've got 11 years in, and looking forward to all the time we are blessed with each other.
My daughter met her future husband at 15 in High School. Neither have had anyone else. They got married after college. They are 31 now with two kids. My daughter has two degrees and masters. However, she is a stay at home mom. As a dad I can’t ask for more.
That's awesome!! I met my husband when I was 19, pregnant, and he swears it was love at first sight for him 😂 I was working at a restaurant, then about 6 months later I became his boss. We became super close friends, then lost touch for a bit. Now we've been married 10 years😂 He's raised all 3 of my kids with me and insisted I stay home for a few years. Lol. Said that the kids and I all deserved it for a while. I'm just thankful both my dads (dad and step-dad) lived long enough to see I'd be ok. I know they worried. 😊 As a father, it must give you tremendous relief and pride for both of them. If they've been together from 15, you've watched him grow up as well.
This is actually a gospel song. It transitioned into a country song, once the fans begged Rascal Flatts to release it onto country music radio.

@@ItsBrttnyBtch The "you" that the broken road led him to is God. All of the pain was worth it because it led me to God. The song is used as a gospel sing pretty often, with slight changes to the lyrics here and there.
I genuinely believe he is one of the best vocalists alive his vocal control and flexibility is unreal and he shows it in all of their songs
This is our anthem. I was married to an abuser for 14 years & now am on year 31 with my wonderful current hubby. 2nd marriages for both of us & we thank God he led us down that broken road, to find each other. Married 38 years. My man is a Manly Man, not sentimental. This is the only song he’s ever dedicated to me.
My husband and I I used this for our wedding sound. We met late in life he had moved into areas I had lived but had moved before he had arrived. We are 14 years apart in age and he seemed to move into a town I had left about 4 to six years before. He says I’ve been chasing you my whole life. We married in 2013 after ten years of dating. But this song oh my, we both were on different paths, divorces, children, jobs, my husband is a very driven person world record setter, many accomplishments but many heartaches and family issues. Me many abusive relationships and abuse but the lessons we learned prepared us for this gift of love we share.

This is the song my wife chose for our wedding dance. We were high school sweethearts and then got back together seven years later. My dad had just died and I was still in the military. Here we are 18 years later.
Shortly after this song came out it was one of the most popular first dance songs at weddings. You'd be hard-pressed even now to go to a wedding and not hear the song.
Be careful with the cowboy hat. I'm an old country boy who has spent time in Texas, Oaklahoma, and Colorado. Real working ranchers tend to look down at fakers. Just be who you are and you will be accepted. Country folk believe in truth.

@@MsWarriordivaIt honestly sucks but I hope they realize how much their music impacted our lives. First time I ever heard them was at my older sisters high school graduation... I was probably 10 years old, maybe older or younger, I don't remember now but the song was "My Wish". Its such a beautiful song and I've been listening to it ever since. I wish I would of been able to see them in person though
A song with a similar theme is "Unanswered Prayers" by Garth Brooks. Sometimes what you think you want is not what you need.

I worked security at a major outdoor venue when I was younger and saw countless groups during my tenure. Even though at the time I was NOT about country pop like Rascal Flatts I have to admit they put on one of the 3 best shows Ive ever seen. Great band.

Their song ‘My Wish’ is one I can’t listen to without tears, because my mom dedicated it to my brother and I, about a month or two before she passed away.

This is my wife and my song too….both married twice previously. Hard times. Met online playing a game…started talking. She late 30s, me early 40s….lots of history and baggage.

This song was great when I was growing up and it had just come out. But it took on a much deeper meaning after my ex turned out to be a jerk and I ended up as a single mom with 3 jobs then I met my now husband. My road was so broken but I wouldn’t have changed a thing because it made me into the woman I am today and it led me to the great life I have today with my husband.
This song for me is about a young man and what he has been through at war. He is lost and broken, but God sends a love to him, and saves him.

Rascal Flatts catalog is absolutely phenomenal! Their catalog is amazing. Gary Levox is one of the best vocalists to ever exist. Period. His voice is truly a gift hand delivered by God. Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney are equally talented. When I think of what it would be like to stand at the pearly gates of heaven, I’m fairly certain I’ll be surrounded by harmonies like theirs. Their storytelling is second to none. In my opinion that is one of the many things missing from so many “popular musicians” who rely heavily on beats and overly produced vocals.
Metal is what I listened to in HS, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden among many others. However I grew up with country, because that's what my parents mainly listened to.
I saw them in concert once. It was the week that their first song hit number one, so most of their other songs were covers of other artists. One of the guys that grew up at the children's home I worked at had this song played at his wedding. They are still married (as far as I know) and have two boys. His wife is a nurse and he his a school teacher and coach.

It's also a reflection of and on all who have and do wear it like an officers badge reflects all who wear it. If the officer dishonors the badge, he dishonors all law enforcement who wear it. If a preacher dishonors his callin and his position, he dishonors and brings reproach against all who stand where he stands. So if yer gonna wear the proud tradition of the American West and all who live the cowboy code......live it yourself. It ain't just a fashion accessory. It's a statement. It's a badge. It's the unique embodiment of the men who've worn it and lived by the code. Don't dishonor it.
Here in the UK we have a TV programme called "The Voice". This song was sung by Peter Donegan. The judge that responded was Tom Jones - all very normal except that Peter is the son of the late Lonnie Donegan, who many years ago wrote a song for Tom Jones. They ended up duetting it. I am 60, so Karen Carpenter was my favorite as far back in my childhood as I can remember. I fell in love with her voice as far back as I remember I had all her records and wore them out.. I also like Kenny Roger, Charlie Danial's, John Denver and a few others.

Really enjoying your channel, the two of you complement each other so well! If I could make one small suggestion that I think might help you grow, don't do the skip ahead's within the songs. Music is a language , it's meant to have a message. Not just the words, but also the music. So when you cut out parts of it, you cut out parts of the overall experience. Something I've noticed on a few channels I guess to save time but it diminishes the song. Just my small opinion, for what it's worth.
If you really want to hear country music anything Merle Haggard will do. Every single current country artist idolizes him. The 'Hag is the poet of the working man. Country music is pure poetry. Just read the lyrics. No one has done it better than Merle.
