A pun on the food "calamari" lol so it was easier (at least for me back when I was still learning the names) to remember the difference between Marina and Marie by thinking of the word 'calamari' and how Marie goes with Callie ♡ Hope that helps!! I'm a Roller, too. I find Rollers easier to use, more coverage. Our last Splatfest (In America, at least) was what came first, the chicken or the egg. The chicken won. What was fun was they colored the inks to look like an actual egg. Team Chicken was white ink and Team Egg was yellow ink.

Yaaaaay you guys are playing Splatoon 2! It's such a blast, isn't it? It's been the only game I've been playing, even though I have a bunch of other games on the Switch... I main the Sploosh-o-matic. The curling bomb sub weapon is useful to make a quick getaway and the Splashdown special helps me get out of sticky situations. Paired with the Ninja Squid ability, I go for sneaky maneuvering to avoid getting into combat and escape if caught, BUT if I have to fight I try to sneak up and surprise the enemy. Short shooting range on the Sploosh-o-matic is a big downside in keeping others from getting near me, so I just focus on inking the field and sneaking around. Splatfests have been alright. I used to play all through the night, but I've stopped doing that since the third Splatfest since my wrists started hurting and getting stiff from gaming for too long, plus all the typing/writing I do (and finding out recently I have mild carpal tunnel is the cherry on top). For the past several Splatfests I've been too obsessed with winning/being a top player and end up getting super upset losing (I've only won one Splatfest). After reflecting on my poor attitude last Splatfest and how it's had a very negative affect on me, I've sworn to work on not taking Splatfests too seriously and focus on having fun again. What's the point in playing a game if all you are is super competitive (and angry) that you forget to have fun? Speaking of Splatfests, which one has been your favorite? I though the one with the domes in the special stage was interesting. The one with cannons wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be (actually my favorite one so far). That one Splatfest with the moving platforms (I think Ketchup vs Mayo?) was... bad, on account of all the times I fell off and accidentally Splashdowned myself into the abyss lol. Yeah, the sub weapons use up a lot of ink. Sometimes when I get into a panic and try to use my curling bomb to escape, I don't have enough ink. Then I get splatted lol. The colors for that Splatfest were so pretty! I loved the pink. Wish we could have had that color (I think our pink for the Valentine's Splatfest was a little darker).

In german the names are not really different Pearl=Perla Marina=Marina I am not sure why they changed pearls name in german because Perla doesn't have a meaning in german it's just a name, maybe because its more close to the german word for pearl=perle. who knows:/
