Peter Tolson is in my opinion one of the most underrated guitarists from the 60s/70s era of great players a real master up there with Hendrix,Clapton,Page,Green,Beck,Kossof,Winwood & Blackmore
Yes absolutely---he has the lyricism of Page, the attack of Clapton with better fluidity and the feel of Green - a true genius who never played a duff Solo! Freeway Madness some of his best work but just listen to October 26th for a statement
Steely: PLEASE Tell Me You Have Tracked Down Pete's "Parachute" (ie: "The XPT's " Brought Back To Life "WONDERFULLY" as "Parachute Reborn" Back in 2012!!??) If Not, TRACK IT DOWN.....=BRILLIANT (Line-Up: Wally (Who Produced MAGNIFICENTLY!!) Jon/Skip & Pete) & It's Pete's TRUE-SWANSONG!!...... Simply Stated: A "TREASURE" of an LP!! Here's a Clip From The Session: ruclips.net/video/I7EWTf4o2Xw/видео.html
Why aren't all these clips from 1971 available on DVD ? What a great band they were/are still. Loved this album (Parachute) since the day I bought it in '73.
It is so cool to see Phil in the wayback machine of 1971 and again today in 2010 knowing that he has no plastic surgery or hair transplants etc (Sorry Mick). Great!

In all my years of listening to and appreciating good music, these guys are without doubt THE BEST !!!!!
The middle vocal section is one of the most beautiful moments in musical history.

Brilliant. I love Parachute and Peter Tolson's guitar playing even though he's not actually on the album. Whatever happened to him?
Ian McKean Victor Unitt played on Parachute. He was loaned from the Edgar Broughton band.
Unfortunately, he committed suicide in 2016 and we lost a great musician. So sad.
Paiste 602's Skipper?
Oops forgot to mention Tony Lommi guitar greats
