I like how you've managed to dual purpose the shower. There is a better curtain choice though. Its waterproof cloth that would a little better and be easier to stash away. Its also relatively inexpensive. Lifting the counter is a great way to access the fridge with out blocking the hallway!
Wow. I've watched a bunch of van conversion videos. Your creativity-- and clever use of every inch of space-- really shine through. Wish you great travels!
Wow awesome design of every square inch, love the design looks like works very well. Really like the bottom drawer where is got another drawer inside of it That is cool, appreciate you sharing I’ll be following for more
This is a REALLY nice, functional layout. Love how you did your mini-split and integrating your fridge and countertop. That shower is pretty nice, too. Stay safe and TFS🧡
Love the natural wood breakfast bar , very cool esthetic ! Also like the counter top/ fridge combo. Pretty clean install on the mini split, ( I watched that vid ) Impressive that they will run overnight on your modest power system w/ 50% left over. I also watched your " I counted everything we own..." video 😂 that was fun !! I can relate to your analytical thought process...love the learning aspects,...reminds me of my late teen / early 20's years, myself & 2 friends built my 79' Mazda RX-7 and his 74 Monte Carlo, our 1st cars...lotsa fun and speeding tickets to follow !!! If I could offer a piece of friendly advice, if you haven't already, take your van " as is " full fuel , food & gear to a CAT Scale at a truck stop, steering axle on front platform and drive axle on the 2nd. Check your axle and gross weights....then adjust accordingly,...hopefully you don't have to re-visit counting your stuff !!....You two are likeable people and I admire your skills & work ethic,.. Just want you to be safe ✌😎
Wow! Great job! Love your air setup. Dont know how you stuff all that in there and even bikes. I never cared much for couch n table cause i thought it took to much storage away but youse kinda got me leaning the other way now, LOL! The only draw back i saw was in the kitchen. You better have all your stuff out n ready cause you cant open the fridge if you got the counter full on the fridge, Ha Ha! Luv it, great ideas.
Great use of space. Just me…. I think I would trade the mini split for back windows. In the rv I have now, I have a rooftop ac which like you said can be noisy. I don’t generally travel to high temp areas so fans work well for me. Nice deck up top, and a rooftop ac would definitely cancel that out. I guess you really need to figure out what works best for your needs and everybody is different. But, overall great job and the shower is really clever. Also love the organization in the garage.
Love your unique innovations. I am building my 2nd van right now and have also tried to be original with innovative ideas. Great design and well presented by both of you. I must add that I had to watch 2:18 about 5 times as it made me laugh so much. It looked like she was trying to hide something embarrassing in that cupboard. Now I know it is because the catches are quite strong for her. Many thanks.
I’m so curious why Jillian closed the first cabinet she opened so fast. I even paused it, expecting to see something salacious. LOL She slammed it closed so fast as if she saw something “oh crap” when she opened it.
Yea the mini split can be used for heat as well! Here’s more detailed video about our system! ruclips.net/video/9oDmBEyrnKg/видео.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE

@@NateMurphy I am planning a van build and I use the timestamps for ready reference. I purchased your manual btw. My dream is to one day have a van tour on your channel. 😉
The van conversions being filmed should blow the boring RV business out of the water. The van you converted is amazing, I like how you approach practical with great imagination and skill. The only thing I did not hear you say was a water filtering system. Thanks for the tour.
With all van builds there are always compromises. But that back sofa is one compromise too many. There is no way to sit back and relax on either side. You have cupboards one side and the split the other side. No wonder they don’t use it as a sofa very often it’s not comfortable and guest definitely don’t stay long. Get rid of the split and problem solved for one side.
Shower design is kind of weird. I don’t see how they can shower with the curtain wrapped so closely around them, like the curtain is definitely touching them while they shower.
There were a lot of poorly executed ideas here... just goes to show you, when you're not realistic with yourself about how much room things actually take and not all ideas are good ideas... and then they want absolutely every idea they came up with crammed all into this tiny space... it's ridiculous.
😬 This is a perfect example of not all ideas are good ideas and you have to be realistic with yourself when doing a build.. you can't just cram every idea you think of and everything you want into a tiny space like this or it will become dysfunctional. You have to compromise and choose a few things that matter the most to you and work with that. I think in theory their ideas were cool, but they ran out of space for it all and is impractical in real life. Like for example, the dinette section.. building it up that high but also adding a mini split and upper cabinets, especially having them that low is absolutely ridiculous! It's limits the room you have to sit down (basically sitting on the edge of the seat), you can't get comfortable or sit back at all because you will hit your head, so no back support, even tho there's back rest cushions lol. Same thing for in bed mode, it's just too high up to comfortably have overhead stuff and the minisplit inches away blowing directly in your face will get annoying I'm sure. And then there's the shower... definitely not the worst I've seen and I've seen plenty of iterations of it before but with how tight it is, that shower curtain is literally going to cling to you all around and all the converting between the shower and bed areas will get old real fast and eventually barely get used, taking up all that precious space you could have used for something else. I also have no idea why in the world they would put the ventilation for the fridge on the side like that where the sink and draws block it anyways, makes absolutely no sense! Lastly, in my opinion, they dedicated WAY too much space to seating when in reality, 99.99% of the time it will just be the 2 of them and you can't put too many people in a van comfortably anyways.. So to have a whole dinette, breakfast bar with stools and swivel seat, it's complete overkill and again wasting space and totally impractical! Now all that being said, it is still a very nice looking build. They definitely did a good job on aesthetics, so I'll give them that for sure.
It's a nice bill I'll give you that I got everything in there that's for sure it was really good job of building presentation was out there somewhere but I don't care what you say enough power in that air conditioner on 200 W hell had all I can do the power of refrigerator with
And if you have $60,000 for a van and another $60,000 to dress it up you too can make one of these hey it's only $120-130 Grand that's cheap right you know if you forced into living in a van why not why not at least go good you know some people have too much money

Thanks for the thought! I’ve seen those and have thought that would be better. Will have to upgrade soon!
So many smart ideas! Neat couple. You guys seem so soft-spoken and humble. Thanks for the tour!
Very well designed. Your cabinets and drawers look especially sturdy and spacious. You really have a lot of storage space. Kudos
Very smart use of space with the angled walkway!!
It makes such a big difference!
Aww you guys are cute. 🫣 nobody talks about the materials they use, types of wood, finishes, etc. props to you two.
Thank you!
This is the best van I have seen. It is such a cool concept. This would be what I would want. Excellent!

@@sashabenoit1518 it's a camper van, they are tight for space by default; it doesn't matter to those who like the camping experience.
It is not a shower. It is kind of a tube , cleaning water pass into.
lost me at shower😢
Doesn’t look very comfortable sitting at the dinette hitting your head on the overhead cabinets and impossible to use those “backrests”

Well luckily it's not your van, it's theirs. If they're happy with how it works, im pretty sure that doesn't affect your life in any way whatsoever?
Actually... please post a video of your van so we can all see exactly how everyone should build their van, would be very educational im sure.
I'm afraid you're right... nothing here makes sense or looks comfortable or practical at all. But props for giving it a go anyway
