I find you really harsh on the bike but… in some regards, it’s just an appropriate answer to the false (or at least biased) reviews. To report my little experience as a proud owner of both a Super73 S2 and Engwe m20, I have to agree with some of your points : - the bike have a higher seat position than a super73 s2, believe it or not (like half an inch higher), but the seat if so short that you can’t adjust your position ! Adding the fact that the crank 1 inch longer than the super73´s and it’s making it awful to pedal if you’re « tall ». As a reference my girlfriend is 5’4” and it’s perfect for her but it’s impossible for me (5´11") to ride it comfortably in any other way than « moped » mode - the bike is heavy and the mechanical brakes are at most, if correctly adjusted, passable… and sadly you have to check then often as they easily misalign. The original brake levers are kind of fragile too. My girlfriend had her bike fell from it’s kickstand and the left lever cracked We live near the ocean so « squeaky » brakes are a common occurrence here even with proper care so I’ve not noted it as a default. - some bikes from the first batches had faulty batteries (not dangerous, just mediocre capacity) I had to record myself making laps to show that one of the batteries lasted nearly 40% less longer than the other. After that, Engwe told me to keep the faulty battery and sended me another one (kudos to that !) - the rear shock may seem to be primarily here for style BUT in direct comparison with my super73 s2… it’s not ! The M20 is WAY more confortable than my S2 on bumpy roads 👌 - a French reviewer (Mark Electric) made it to the announced 150km (90miles) in PAS 1 so it’s technically possible but, like you, he had to mod the bike to raise the seat to be able to efficiently pedal to assist the motor. In my experience, this bike have really poor efficiency for tall riders… I weight 210lbs and I’ve been able to ride, on a single battery, anywhere between 10miles (full throttle) and 30miles (PAS 1 on flat roads) Given the fact that I paid my S2 4k€ and the M20 only 1.4k€… I have a lot of room to invest some money in order to make it a better long term bike. For exemple, now that the engine pro 2.0 is out, I’ll try to fit its torque sensor and hydraulic brakes into my girlfriend bike to make it more secure and more efficient. And I may buy the new 19.2 Ah battery made for the m20 too.
@@ModProjects4306 I’ll give a thought but I’m not a huge fan of mid drive motor for powerful e-bike, especially fatbikes as it causes a huge strain on the transmission
@@RobertJohanssonRBImGuy it’s on the update list but as I already own 3 battery (more like 2,5, due to the faulty one), it’s not my top priority. Recently I upgraded to hydraulic brakes and… it’s night and day !! And now I’m working on comfort : - a shorter and adjustable stem - a custom seat : higher and with some memory foam
I’ve owned one for 6 months single battery. Since owning I’ve had one of my front lights blasters blew and no longer works due to water ingress a simple rubber seal would have prevented it! And my peddle assist stopped working but has started again v strange! Forget trying to get communication from Engwe they don’t have a customer service! Over all there really good bikes I do love mine but sadly I don’t go on long rides as I’m not confident with it and £1350 for a bike you don’t have confidence in isn’t good!
I’ve got pictures of me on mine and it looks like I’m an adult on a kids bike and I’m 6ft. 32 inch inseam. Try a bike that’s made for people that are 6ft then get back on it. It feels ridiculous.
I am 5 foot 9 and 143 pund and I got 137 mils on pas1 on my m20 With no throttle Only using my legs like hell and I still think it was hard because of the and seat And it wasn't in one go it was over several days And great video by the way 👍 This is with 2 batteries Like yours
Yea i added a 48v 30ah battery to the downtube and kept the the 2 13ah batteries for the top tube im now running 43 ah 2064 wh on it and have a spare 13ah batterie im pretty good on range now. The most i got on the 2 13ah batteries before i swapped out 1 of them for 30ah was 55 miles. Also put some cst scout tires on it had to upgrade the rear suspension. But you are right after all the uogrades i put in im about 2500$ in on it.
Glad i held off buying this bike. I have the engwe ep2 which is a decent cruiser, and was gonna buy this for the dual battery, but opted for a dual motor beast instead
Do the dual battery yourself. Check out my Engwe Engine X video on the range I got out of it after adding a 48v 30ah battery. Not a cheap mod but can’t really sniff at pretty much 100 miles, PAS with, including backpack pretty much 270lb on the bike.
oh shame. I have a Bafang BBS02 motor which I may repurpose if I get an M20. Do you remember what the width for the crankset was? I think my motor is 68mm.@@ModProjects4306
Really appreciate the honesty, much better than the influences reviews.
Thank you kindly.
I would rather have seen you on the bike explaining all of this.

Good effort dude. You’d have never had managed it if you were over 6ft. The leg extension for pedalling is woeful.
Disagree. I’m 6’2” and it’s very comfortable!

What rear shock did you put on the bike. Want to change mine for a decent airshock
Rockshox Monarch XL. They come in different sizes so you’ll have to measure your centres. Cant remember off hand what the size was. Hope this helps.
What bikes would you recommend then for someone who is 6ft 0ins and 215 pounds?

Thanks for the heads up. I will certainly be looking at that video. I really want to add a second battery, but always assumed it would be to complex
Did you have to change the wires for the new battery ?
Do you have the link to the rear shock you bought?
I have the same bike but I'm 5-10" and 11.5 stone and the bikes great!, you are just too big for this bike
@@stevenparkes2845 or … the bikes too small for me. The website states up to 6ft 6”.
Any issues with the police? I was looking at getting something like this and know throttle isn't allowed, looking to get my first ebike.
Just posted this buddy. Hope it helps. ruclips.net/video/5b___ri3uho/видео.htmlsi=wOVLvKT5K6hyIjsJ

Sold it Mickey.
