I did this, too. Got some good stuff, and I'm able to make the two top decks in the meta, and just a couple of good ex cards away from being able to play all the meta decks. I've been enjoying messing with the lesser decks as well though. There's a lot of kind of pure coin flip stuff that is either busted or loses, but if you go on a hot streak with one of these decks, you just flatten everyone. definitely enjoyed the quick acquisition. It's been a change from Snap, Lol.
While the rarities you got were pretty insane (you literally got more immersives/crowns in this opening than I have in 2k total cards! Streamer luck OP) I think this tracks pretty well with my own spending. Around 100 dollars to complete one of the three packs, give or take a bit of variance. Maybe a similar video when the supposed mini set drops next week?

Eggsecutor is Charizard Pack exclusive. This is because the only reason that the Bulbasaur line are in Mewtwo instead of Charizard packs is because Charizard is in Charizard packs. And Blastoise is in Pikachu packs. (It might be because Venusaur is also a poison type which kind of matches Mewtwo packs aesthetic.) Eireka is Charizard Pack exclusive. And alot of grass types are charizard pack exclusive.
If the question is, for $100 can you generally build a tier 1 deck (currently). You got an answer. I guess the next question (that no one is asking) is can you build Pika eX with two Zap eX for $100 and can you build Char Arc for $100 - I think Pika is the best deck currently, it rarely beats itself and Mew Tew can beat itself or just be too slow if you dont get guard online - guess that is why I prefer Char Arc (to play not on win % per se), because if you are getting a stage 2 online I would prefer a guaranteed win, which Char almost always delivers

Because snap was acquisition friendly when it launched not having to spend money at all. Will Pokémon be an even bigger money sink at its 2 year mark than snap? Dunno time will tell
The answer to your question is most definitely "yes." The card pool is currently tiny. Saying that you can build at least one if not two of the top three decks (Pikachu, Mewtwo, Charcanine) entirely free-to-play within the first month is like saying you could build the top three Snap decks (Zoo, Devil Dinosaur, Odin) in Snap's first month entirely free-to-play. And Pocket doesn't have to increase its monetization for the card acquisition to become worse than Snap because it's already worse than Snap. You have to spend almost 100 dollars in Pocket to get one copy of a specific EX card if you're unlucky in your pack openings and Wonder Picks. There are many ways in Snap to guarantee that you get a specific card without spending any money or by spending only a little. Both games make becoming collection-complete impossible as a free player, but Pocket puts much more RNG into card acquisition and prices its strongest cards higher.

@@KMPocket 2007-2008 mortgage market collapse, they lost their investors and / or couldn't raise more seed money - guess that is a better excuse than "one guy who was putting up his 'personal money' all of a sudden has 'health issues' magically when it is time to pay people out" - pretty common in CCG's to announce prize pools without funds first - lets hope they magically show up - good intentions don't mean a lot - ideas are applauded, execution is worshipped

yeah I got a whole Charizard Moltres deck with crown and inmersive charizard variants before get 1 Exeggutor EX and 2 basic Erikas

the reason i went for mewtwo is because it was easier than the other two to get a full deck - pika needs zap, and char needs moltres
