The theme of this episode is “it’s a small world”. When I was a little kid there was a teenage boy that my jailbird stepbrother knew and he went by the nickname “Thumper”. Thumper used to cruise around the neighborhood on a cheesey moped and he gave my best friend (she’s still my BF)her first joint. I asked my older sister what Thumpers real name is a few years ago and she replied Royce Teets! When I heard that name in this interview I almost choked because I knew that Royce had murdered his fiancé but I never knew any of the back story. Great interview. I never thought I would ever get to know this crazy story.

There should be a way where u can accept a plea deal, do the time, and then after you’ve served your time go to trial just for the sake of your criminal record and reputation. It’s just so sinister that the reality doesn’t matter I don’t see how our prison system is somehow more fair or free than China or Russia’s. We seriously have people saying “well there’s actually no evidence I did any of this but I had to plea to a previous case where they had no evidence I did any of that and the feds always win their cases so I just couldn’t risk it”. That’s what you would say about the North Korean legal system lol

Myabe being from Jersey, this had some things that reminded me of some other things, and , yeah. Just - loved it. Eloquent speaking. No over-the-top storytelling, if anything it was the opposite, which actually makes the entire thing that much more believable, and you know that it's much crazier than what's being told. I respect a man that doesn't need to overcompensate their story- in fact, does the literal antithesis of that.

@@IncredibleIceCastle he's incredibly emotion driven, that's why he's compelled to di this. He needs an ego boost and he needs it for emotional reasons. Usually, sociopaths know when to pull back, act as is they're humble, act as is they care for others etc, he doesn't

What an awesome interview. I’ve been hooked on Matt’s channel recently. These two actually seem like good buddies.
I thought Colby chiming in was cool too. Would be interesting if matt brought on a full time co host. Easier to talk through material and make interesting videos.

128:00 for some reason the more he was talking the more i felt like at some point this story is about to go hard left, and then Matt reminds the consumer that he first heard this story in prison meaning, oh yeah we are about to take a coleman left! I just love a good success story.

I was caught up in the "stockbroker" frenzy back in the late 80's worked as a cold caller for a couple of firms , one of the firms was a couple of guys that had left the famous "Stratton Oakmont -Jordan Belfort" ...........I had dwl when I was 18 and plead to a felony cause i didn't want to do jail time , but after I passed my license exam series 7 the S.E.C wouldn't issue me the licence due to the felony ...............Wich was probably a blessing in disguise cause i would have been caught up in some kind of criminal activity !!!!!....................... Cox I'm a huge fan. Love the channel and the topics. Much props for turning your life around and ending up on top once again. I relate because I'm a parolee as well (first and last time in prison , CA mainline , level 4)
and I'm off parole in two weeks in a matter of 9 months from being released with good behavior and just above and beyond work on my behalf doing everything my parole officer has me listed to do (programs , maintaining jobs, sobriety, and trouble ect) but anyways You should totally do strip down of "Punch Made Dev" .
He is either the biggest idiot on the the smartest idiot lol idk you decide

A story I would love to hear you make a video about is the current RUclips drama regarding “Anthony Farrer” / “timepiece Gentleman”
Would be a good way to tap into a a new audience. He is a luxury watch dealer who ripped off a bunch of other dealers & clients for total of 5M.
As always Mr Cox you were amazing💯

When the woman scammed him and he paid back many of the investors, Doesnt a broker have insurance for this? It seems like there would be strict rules/guildlines for a broker to follow when investing clients money in a non-publicly traded company. Im actually surprised this doesnt happen alot more. Just seems like brokers would always be at great risk.

You would think so, right? But not all broke carry Errors & Omissions insurance. 🤷🏼‍♂️
