Stanley cups have been known for LEAD in the cup!! It’s all cheap china metal and plastic
@@YHWH711 Look into it before you spread stuff. It is a little lead use to seal the cup that has nothing to do with where the liquid goes.

Hill Billy's rig did awesome. After so many break downs it sure looks as if you have the bugs worked out. So happy for Hill Billy, and all of you. I was worried about the ram, but it did great, But in the very near future I'd get some protection for the ram built, just because it didn't give an issue this time, doesn't mean that there isn't a rock out there waiting on it!

My older brother had a Superbird back in the early 70s. Dropped us off at high school one day. He passed just after Christmas this year, but that is the day I will remember when I think about my brother.
HillBilly if you watch some videos of competition rock crawling you will notice the same thing everytime,
They use the tries to drive over the rocks and that leaves the transfer case free to go between the rocks,
You did a great job , but if you watch this video you will see that everytime you stopped moving forward, your transfer case was stopping you with your tires in the dirt.
Put your tires on the rocks and that lifts your vehicle even higher leaving your transfer case and skid plate untouched, and your truck will last longer too.

I don't understand the whole Stanley cup thing but congratulations on finding two. Life has taught me that making any boss happy often has less to do with making sense and more to do with just doing what it takes to make her smile. The Bronc* is looking good, Hillbilly did a great job handling the trail. Thanks for sharing the adventure!

Skilled driving requires an awareness of exactly where your tires are, and what they are doing. Broncstar's tire footprint dimensions and suspension are completely different than before, so this was literally the first time Hillbilly has driven this vehicle. He did a fantastic job for his maiden voyage. Awesome driver and vehicle! Congratulations!!
That's a great point, he had very little seat time after the build prior to fixing the steering issues, but that was with the old tired original Engine also, so It really is his first time driving this setup and he did great, I'm glad there wasn't any mechanical issues this time and he got to drive it successfully and proud. he deserves it. I know he put a lot of time and working days off just doing the swap not including all the other fabrication stuff. it's a totally different beast than his trekker (which is also super cool) I hope they put lockers in that and freshen up the engine

All the long hours and hard work on the BroncStar was well worth it and it was lovely to see Hillbilly take her for a spin and succeed. I don't know what the cup thing was about but pleased the Boss got hers. The Plymouth, well it has to be an ace car because I live in Plymouth UK, and we don't accept crap 😉
Story time: 84-86 did 2 yr's in Germany US Army, taught myself to ski,, after a yr I took trip to the Swiss Alps skii'd for 3 days, after saying that I got back to the states went to CA to ski Big Bear, I felt then like you feel now after completing that run, thought Big Bear was so awesome but compared to the Swiss Alps it was a speed bump,, like the video though pretty cool watching you guys,, TY guy's for what you do, just say'n!

I have an OLD large Stanley thermos! That thing keeps anything hot forever! NOT FOR SALE, as it was my dads!

It's about time. I got a cheap tabletop woodworking belt sander and it was the best tool purchase of a long time.
So my wife just bought that same Stanley cup at Scheels in Springfield IL!! She loves it…$10 more than the standard colors.
I used to go to Hesperia often because that's how you get to Deep Creek Hot Springs. Very nice volcanic hot spring with multiple temperature natural pools, right on the Pacific Crest Trail.

At around the 27:00 mark, it sure looked like Hillbilly was driving on the moon surface! The yellow lights and the terrain was kind of eerie. Glad to see the Broncstar do so well. Hillbilly deserved this. Good luck on the Superbird! Please do not make that car one of your unfinished projects, that car deserves to be fixed and *driven* !
The super bird is going for around a 100k or more, I'm 56 and that is, one car I love, I'm super happy you found one.
when i was younger i lived near the organ mountains outside las cruces NM, there was a guy who had a yard full of super birds, robby would have loved that guys yard. im sure they are loooong gone now, but would love to have one of them.

Very cool! My dad had a Superbird when he was dating my mom. He loved that car. Mom said he got frustrated when he had to take it to a specialty shop to have the transmission worked on because no one near Coldwater, Michigan could do it. He had to go nearly to Indianapolis for the fix. He also had his police radio in the car and used the car at work. NO ONE was outrunning him!
