Your uploads are still top notch Matt but sadly I think that Destiny 2 has lost a huge chunk of its player base over the last few months due to weak story telling and boring gameplay. I played since day 1 right up to Light fall and then simply stopped. The mystery and explorative "discover it for yourself" side of the game seems to have disappeared leaving an empty, mind numbing grind for uninspiring gear , drip fed, time gated story that frankly means that the effort and time required to keep up with the grind outweighs the fun of playing.

Clarity straight up reverses entropy, returning something to a previous state it was in, like reversing time. Stasis makes entropy nearly/entirely stop progressing, and it freezes things in a single state of being like time has stopped. So it makes sense that Clarity and Stasis are related. They just seem to be two separate powers utilizing the same principles since they both come from the Witness
This is the obvious answer to me. People are too focused on Cayde and not focused enough on what’s right in front of them. The Veil is directly tied to the Cloud Ark, so you can assume that the Veil somehow makes it possible.
Anyone else think that this topic surrounds the only other exo we know, Elsie Bray? She hasn’t been near the Veil, and hardly spoken of this season. Might be worth taking a “deep dive” into the Brays and seeing if the Veil had some effect on Elsie’s memory, but also her ability to travel through time.
I think the nanites might be clarity infused siva. The way that the pouka interacts with quicksilver storm in its lore tab would leave me to believe the same could be said for the poukas. It’d also explain why the cloudstrider monuments worked like a backup for cloudstriders’ memories, and why they responded and rebuilt for us when we embodied emotions they resonated with.
Maya is likely talking about how the cloud ark was made. They are taking the consciousness of the people and projecting that data into the server to explain how "the veil made/is responsible for the cloud ark"
There are tubes of Clarity as seen in the Deep Stone Crypt and the Seraph Station running through the CloudArk and the Hydroponics Lost Sector. Perhaps that’s what Maya was referring to when talking about reverse engineering Clarity from the Exos? Maybe she extracted the Clarity and used it to create the CloudArk. ]]] Long Slow Whisper [[[
Considering much of darkness has to do with consciousness and memory, it could be that something resembling a soul manifests when certain information is "passed through" a field. In this case, that field would be something similar to the Strand field that we see in Neomuna. Think of it this way: when the Cloud Ark is submerged in the strand field, it grants the context of memory and consciousness to the data. This could also explain the Nine in a way since they are entities composed of entire worlds of data (albeit in a different form). Strand is described as a field that makes up reality itself or is at least overlaid onto our physical world. It would make a lot of sense for it to act as a kind of field that interacts in interesting ways with other matter and energy. It's a very theoretical physics-inspired idea. I think the word "entropy" has become a bit of a red herring for some. That terminology is used in a very relative sense to describe the state/flow of energy or order in a given system. It deals in all types of energy and even states of matter, not just thermal (even though it's more directly associated with thermodynamics). However, our use of it in that context is useful specifically when describing Stasis as a darkness power. I think we should remember that it is also a general concept instead of relating it directly to thermodynamics in every instance.
I have a feeling that Cayde-X inside the traveller is Cayde as Sundance thought of him; the Ghost's memories of Cayde at the moment they were destroyed. The big burst of Light being the download from the ghost (see also that time Zavala lost his light temporarily during season of the Chosen - you see an afterimage of him departing when the connection is cut. Which means that we could also have the weird moment of having two Osirises, the one still living, and the Sundance memory in the Traveller space. Probably not going to happen though.
Now knowing what we know about darkness and how. It's rooted in feeling/ emotion, it makes all the sense as to why an exo would need such "messiness of the mind" (Clarity control) in order to function properly.
Could this be leading to how the pouka were created? Elsie's pouka helps her sort out her memories and there's a comparison made between the Pyramid ship's darkness/nightmare abilities and the pouka's memory abilities
So in a sense, Wolf is stating that with that "equation" that Clovis had created, if one had Paracausal force to transmit that equation into stasis. That interesting.
Clarity, according to Byf, is what Clovis claims he experienced before death. That he mistook for darkness, but it was in actuality the traveler trying to warn him.
To me it seems like a good pathway to the CloudArk. The tech is suspiciously close to an Exo mind upload. Except none of the citizens experience the issues that an Exo would have without Clarity. It seems like the Veil untethered the minds of the Exo's. And I think they figured out how to do that to regular organic people. Untether the consciousness from the body to an energy field (the CloudArk) and not only do you have a reversed engineered Exo, in a way, but also an explanation to the "River of Souls" culture.
Darkness = memory, make sense to bung it into a prosthetic brain. Also, unless the Veil containment does something, but what of all the Exo Guardians that enter that area?
I'm surprised you didn't elaborate on "billboarding" when talking about the Exos, as that's a pretty important detail: Essentially, an Exo would remain sapient for a short while, but their mind would soon begin to degrade and they would get stuck in a loop until they became vegetables. Infusing the radiolaria with Clarity solved this problem, likely because Darkness is intrinsically tied to memory so it keeps their consciousness intact. But it still only halfway solves the problem. The reason Exos are built with the ability to feel hunger and eat (among other things) is that they _need_ familiar, bodily sensations. If they don't have these sensations, their mind will start to think something is wrong with their body and they will develop Cotard's syndrome (i.e. think they're dead) and go insane.
So consciousness being at least related to clarity in the sense of reducing entropy does make sense with this outlook: the reduction of entropy is essentially manipulating thermodynamics to make a system of atoms “simpler.” This is actually what happens when an individual organism consumes energy from other organisms; the predator breaks down the energy of its prey in order to preserve its own “order,” or “level of entropy.” Darkness is all about the individual will. So Stasis is just Darkness acting thermodynamically.
Maybe since the veil is a web of consciousness and all that, it’s connection with the traveler caused someone like Cayde to appear inside the traveler, creating this whole space based on the cosmic memory of the universe. Unrelated to that, I think they’re trying to say the cloudark or cloudstriders themselves might have been created with the remains of the dead exos from the mission
The veil is connected to the cloud ark, the cloud ark is connected to the people of neomunas consciousness, and presumably the cloud ark gives them a “shape” of sorts, the little ghost figures that show up all over. Does that fit into the equation anywhere? It seems like the whole system has some way of projecting a conscious form outwards into physical reality.
Cloud Ark. All of these audio logs eventually lead up to the Cloud Ark, since a rudimentary version of it exists in the complex. The Traveler IS a Cloud Ark, calling it now.

What if Maya somehow combined Soteria into the nanites that create cloudstriders? Maybe adding Clarity to vex milk created the Exos but maybe adding the Veil to vex milk (with or without Soteria) creates a different version of consciousness. Instead of being fused with a concrete human mind with a very specific structure, and therefore the consciousness being that human, it was fused with an AI that doesn’t have a concrete version of self and that’s capable of self assessment and modification, like Soteria, maybe this leads to the nanites Cloudstriders use being a conscious manifestation of Soteria’s directives around protecting humanity, hence why they’re so effective at being defenders of humanity? The nanites want what the couldstrider wants? It wouldn’t be crazy to imagine that Maya would go to some extreme lengths at this point. The cloud ark could be some giant clarity infused object combined with veil juice and Soteria vex milk. I mean it’s even possible that the people who arrived with Maya were transferred into this object to protect them? Hence the citizens of Neomuna being entirely digitised? My real question has always been where are the people on Neomuna? You’re telling me the only corporeal form is Nimrod? (Yes I know it’s nimbus) Maybe Maya kept 100 humans alive in cryo and gave the Soteria veil vex nanite mix the directive to just wakes them up one by one, brain wash them and assimilate them with the nanites? Sounds like they maybe have been talking about the earliest idea of the cloud ark and maybe imprinting minds onto the veil itself. Hence why its so key to the entire civilisation
I think that message from Savathun about black holes keeping perfect records of everything that gets thrown into them was probably the writers first playing with this idea
The last two weeks I’ve had more Destiny youtube watchtime than actual gametime. The lore is good but the game is starting to feel like a drag because they space out the stuff week by week.
Some open questions I have had for ages are… What ever happened to the speakers ghost? It was never explained directly as far as I’m aware, only reason I noticed is because he has a ghost in D1 but there is no record of it being lost or killed Another question is why can hive ghosts revive their lightbearer freely, but for us it’s a “darkness zone” and we need an ally to help pick us up Lucent hive aren’t even a part of the witnesses forces when Savathun traps Rhulk during witch queen so it makes no sense to me It’s something that always bothered me about destiny in general, the whole point is that you can come back from death but it never seems played on in gameplay (it would be cool if you could have alternative deaths like the hive capturing you/ghosts after you die a few times and draining your light) basically making it less of a nonsense mechanic and adding some realism/consequence and variety to it, this is why I love tormentors, interactive enemies that truly attack you feel way more immersive to fight but for the most part destiny enemies hardly try anything to prevent revives, not even simple traps on dead rezes They make strange lore like needing devourer bullets to kill ghosts but then you can essentially die forever to a random dreg in a strike if you aren’t careful (it would make more sense to me if you had to get to the strike boss before it escapes after a set time and enemies just make giant trap infested areas to slow you from reaching their leaders) At this point I’m just rambling about minor inconsistencies and I suppose nitpicking, but I’m just trying to be logical when it appears there are too many cooks in the narrative kitchen from time to time and to be fair some of my points may be able to be explained but who knows
The Veil is the Winnower or made from the winnower maybe its his Manifestation in the universe or its his first knife against the Gardener. Anyway the Veil reflects all Actions of the light. The Black Mirror. It shows us what the light can do and the example is the darkness... The force who lead you to the final shape
The explanation of Vex could be applicable to humans too - we’re essentially the same hardware, running the same software, but we’re all individual. Is that true of vex?
No AI? You mean apart from Soteria? The Rasputin Submind that first detected The Darkness approaching, defied Clovis Bray, and is the reason for humanity being on Neptune in the first place?
You know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. This game lives on two things: speculation and FOMO which happen to be humankinds' two most powerful tools and weakest points in our metal and emotional states. This lore drop is nothing more than when a GM literally has no idea of what's behind the next door and with a handful of ambiguous prompts is letting his Player Characters create what's there.
I wonder if they will Cyade-6's consciousness from a rebuilt OXA machine that they hinted at a few times. Then they could use the Veil to place it back in his body and the giant piece of the Traveler in the EDZ (the one we got our light back from in the Red War) to reawaken the body. This could also explain how Cayde and his gun glow with light similarly to Traveler's Chosen (once it's all charged up).
I'm calling it now. The traveler brings cayde back itself. Would explain the "white light" emitting from him, why he doesn't have a ghost, and why he seems to remember everything b4 he died 🤔
How positive are we that anyone in Neomuna actually existed? I mean with the way Maya is talking about "fabricating consciousness", is it possible people that exist there were just given memories? Is it possible they never existed in the real world but thought they did? Have we been able to find any of their "real" bodies?
Ummm, AKCHEWULLEEEE! I think you'll find Eris touched the Darkness in this weeks Lore entry we unlocked.... My Ellen Dee Off Also MLR...WDDE (Myelin's Lore Reset... Weekly, Daily, Destiny Extravaganza) trumps TWiD every day of the week! Maya was repulsed by the actions and 'work' Clovis Bray was doing in the name of science. Funny how her interaction with & subsequent desires regarding the Veil, lead her down the a similar path as Clovis with the Neomoonies & Cloudstriders.
Ok ok, enough with the discussions about entropy and Clarity, someone needs to answer the big questions--did they bring capybaras to Neomuna? and if so, where can I see them?
Did they accidentally create the ghosts ??? new intelligence.... Traveler had never created them before. Ghosts (are like memories of what have been) they also say the veil is linked to the traveler. Don't ghosts start appearing right after the collapse too? Just a thought!
Veil Containment "mission" on the far left of the map on Neomuna. New audio every reset. They'll play in order from the beginning of the season if you haven't been checking in.
My theory is that this has all just been a simulation? The citizens of Neomuna uploaded their consciousness to the arc. The veil protects the arc. Arc is like the software and the veil is the hard drive? Asher M. Is somewhere within the vex network. We've all heard Saladin in the tower say "what If the Traveler isn't what we think it is" is it possible that the crucible, trials, gambit, raids, dungeons, all this harnessing and wielding of light and dark aspects could have ALL been just a simulation training and preparation for the real war to come? Maybe our ghosts are just part of the simulation. We resurrect in the simulation until we get it right. Sloane said for her time went by in the blink of an eye. Maybe the same is true for Cayde. If Osiris, and some other past bosses were dead for months how is it their bodies weren't rotted beyond repair? Osiris had a ghost but what about those without ghosts that come back. Now old dead Foe's can be resurrected without a ghost? Why do some remember their past when resurrected by the Traveler and others don't unless it was intentional. Could they just be computer generated NPC's inserted in the training program? Do we enter the Traveler in this simulation, wake up and find that we've been residing there all along. That those we thought lost are alive? We had to go through this intense program to reach a collective understanding? Foes become friends to fight along side each other. Is final shape the REAL war?
I don’t know if I’ll get banned but very soon you’ll learn that the Vail is the dark version of the Traveler, a race have tried to merge the Traveler and the Vail together but the Traveler refuse and left. Why did this race wanted to do this? Well I can’t spoil everything. but know this, this race where the first to meet the Traveler. The Witness is billions in one, that’s why you can hear a male mix with female echo voices. That’ll be all but the song that Will play while you fight the Witness will be something to remember and this fight will be completely different from all bosses.

It’s something that always bothered me about destiny in general, the whole point is that you can come back from death but it never seems played on in gameplay (it would be cool if you could have alternative deaths like the hive capturing you/ghosts after you die a few times and draining your light) basically making it less of a nonsense mechanic and adding some realism/consequence and variety to it, this is why I love tormentors, interactive enemies that truly attack you feel way more immersive to fight but for the most part destiny enemies hardly try anything to prevent revives, not even simple traps on dead rezes
They make strange lore like needing devourer bullets to kill ghosts but then you can essentially die forever to a random dreg in a strike if you aren’t careful
(it would make more sense to me if you had to get to the strike boss before it escapes after a set time and enemies just make giant trap infested areas to slow you from reaching their leaders)
At this point I’m just rambling about minor inconsistencies and I suppose nitpicking, but I’m just trying to be logical when it appears there are too many cooks in the narrative kitchen from time to time and to be fair some of my points may be able to be explained but who knows
Loving the developments of Maya's character, at times she's gradually starting to sound a little more Clovis by the day, keen to see where this goes
Can someone tell me how to get the audio logs because I completely forgot
To add to entropy debate: entropee is stored in the caballs. That is all o7
Entropeez nuts😂😂😂 who ever wrote that in chat is a legend
@myelin the only conciousness we know of getting created in a clarity infused "object" is lord felwinter
Fabricating consciousness could just be a way of describing uploading real people into the Cloud Arc?
11:30 Poukas?
There's my lore master 🙌
Another week bois and another Aztecrossover
Was it not stated that the poulkas are AI? Could those be the “generated consciousness”?
Your pale heart holds the key like how much more do you neeed
Love it man
How did the clarity statue get to sol? Because it would have been before nezerac arrived.
Me here just patiently waiting for Mylein to get to the leaked cutscene.
Ngl this sounds like my dad tryna convince me aliens are real
I'm calling it now. The traveler brings cayde back itself. Would explain the "white light" emitting from him, why he doesn't have a ghost, and why he seems to remember everything b4 he died 🤔
Myelin is spitting here
how are they explaining how my exo characters can be around the veil then without dying immediately?
How positive are we that anyone in Neomuna actually existed? I mean with the way Maya is talking about "fabricating consciousness", is it possible people that exist there were just given memories? Is it possible they never existed in the real world but thought they did? Have we been able to find any of their "real" bodies?
Ummm, AKCHEWULLEEEE! I think you'll find Eris touched the Darkness in this weeks Lore entry we unlocked.... My Ellen Dee Off
Also MLR...WDDE (Myelin's Lore Reset...
Writing info is going to be the cloud ark.
Ok ok, enough with the discussions about entropy and Clarity, someone needs to answer the big questions--did they bring capybaras to Neomuna? and if so, where can I see them?
Now you’re asking the real questions
Did they accidentally create the ghosts
??? new intelligence.... Traveler had never created them before. Ghosts (are like memories of what have been) they also say the veil is linked to the traveler. Don't ghosts start appearing right after the collapse too?
Just a thought!
Feels like they're just throwing around the word paracausal so frugally
How do you get that dialogue?
Veil Containment "mission" on the far left of the map on Neomuna. New audio every reset. They'll play in order from the beginning of the season if you haven't been checking in.
@@evangraham4607 Thanks! I’ve been missing
wait wait wait are all exos in the veil??????
Another week boys and another Lord LOL
Strand actually has quite a few plot holes to it
Could the Traveler have copied the Neomoonias if they made the Poukas with this method to make Ghosts cause the Traveler is linked to the Veil?
No
No
I wonder if it turns out cloudstriders are made with darkness too
Cade-1 ??
Everyone gonna know what the veil is in the next two weeks.
Mind blown...Great theory...I agree...that explains the Vex and their simulation.
Another week, another loreee😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cayde has always been the key to EVERYTHING. where were you?
Why is Clarity so hard to clarify in Destiny?
Wolf doesn't understand stasis it would seem.
CLOUD ARK CLOUD ARC CLOUD ARC CLOAD ARC
They are going to use Rasputin’s frame
I don’t know if I’ll get banned but very soon you’ll learn that the Vail is the dark version of the Traveler, a race have tried to merge the Traveler and the Vail together but the Traveler refuse and left. Why did this race wanted to do this? Well I can’t spoil everything. but know this, this race where the first to meet the Traveler. The Witness is billions in one, that’s why you can hear a male mix with female echo voices. That’ll be all but the song that Will play while you fight the Witness will be something to remember and this fight will be completely different from all bosses.
This is literally just Bo3 Revelations 🥶
wtf... no? lol
What if Cayde had a throne world without knowing?
Just here to study for the twitch gameshow😂
