Yeah but it's suggesting men have responsibility for their own actions, and women have responsibilities for men's actions, when really it should be everyone taking accountability for their own actions. If the man can't control his behaviour or thoughts around a woman wearing shorts, for instance, then it's on him to work on himself, not on her to bend to his weaknesses
If the women aren’t willing to speak on it (or are rightfully afraid of getting attacked by other women when they speak up) the men have to stand up and speak. Thankfully there are many women speaking against abortion, but on many other issues (like this one) they’re not willing.
We’re not responsible for if men have sick thoughts or act on them. HOWEVER, we should do everything in our power to protect our brothers in Christ against sinning. It pleases the Lord to be modest, so I’m going to do it. So, it’s really as simple as that for me.
"Was it a man who said that" I'm sorry what a ridiculous thing to say. I'm so tired of people resorting to judging if an opinion is valid or not based upon the gender of the person who said it. Was what he said valid and true or not, who cares the gender of the person that said it. Imagine if someone said "Men need to guard their minds from lustful thoughts" and someone's response was "Mmmm but was it a woman who said that?" Like what? Who gives a dam if it was a woman, was what she said valid and true or not!? Gender is irrelevant.
So when the Bible tells men how to act, it's super clear. But when the Bible tells women how to dress, "I'm not sure." Where's kevin samuels when you need him
I think it’s clear that women need to dress modestly by there is a grey area within what is modest. Notice the one women in a tank top? Some would argue that she’s immodest or even wearing pants instead of a dress. There’s some obvious clothes we know that reveal everything but that’s not really the debate when we talk about dressing modest. And like the woman said there is more pressure and talk about women regarding this more so than men being spoken to about the subject and their responsibilities.
Interesting how a well-balanced and gentle call to both men and women is always met with “but was it a man who said that?” And “why do we always target women and not men?”. Where’s the critical thinking and reason?
I agree and am constantly leaving requests for Christian RUclips couples to discuss their topic from the male view too if they are doing a critical topic on women such as modesty or roles or sin. I want to see both at the same time because the bible is actually clear a few times and quite seriously on men being in control of themselves and vigilant on their own behaviours just as much as women. I’d love to see more equality on the *same* topics on how much they are spoken about per gender ❤
Modesty varies by individual Holy Spirit leading. People come from all different cultures and backgrounds, and it is going to look a little different for everyone, because of that. As well as where people are at in their refinement. God works in mysterious ways, outside of our understanding of time. We ultimately know each other by evidence of the Fruits of the Spirit.
I agree, and not to body shame anybody but, modesty might also differ with body type, not just culture and background. There are styles of clothes my friends can wear, and they look quite modest, but when I put them on, well, I feel very exposed coz I have bigger..... features. I think since there are all these variations the Bible didn't give us a clear guide on what to wear. Just be modest in whatever you decide to put on.
Jesus was very clear on modesty too: it would be better to have a millstone on your neck and be thrown into the sea than be someone that causes a Christian to stumble. Literally. That's any sin, but it is also modesty. It's dead serious.
Wrong, Jesus was talking about causing little children to stumble. Like pedophiles who abuse children and then those children hate God as a result. Has nothing to do with immodest women.
Modesty is not just for women though either men should be dressing modestly as well.
Whether or not an opinion is relevant and/or logical (=valid) does not depend on the gender of the person holding it.
👍
I love this post. It shows every Christian has responsibility, not just men
😊👍👍

@@katie6384I 100 percent agree with that!
Morgan sitting there with her ankles and arms showing saying she’s not showing her body off. Hmmmm…
Her comment on if a man said that and men should address men gives the same impression as those who say men can't talk about abortion.
And the apostles addressed woman all throughout scripture and they were men
I mean in a sense she'd probably be happy to tell a man to guard against lust? I'm sorry, I think she's awesome but I don't get her logic there

Yes Morgan! You stated it perfectly.
❤️❤️
Agreed!
She's such a hypocrite. The tattoos on her body aren't consistent with what she says.
“Cause Scripture is very clear…”
Oh boy

Excellent! Wonderful! Fabulous!!
So historically how has christian woman understand modesty
