That landscape reminds me of some outback places I’ve been- I also like not sharing a campsite so my animals can be free. The screen would be nice for a summer backyard viewing with friends, who could also share the pumping! My goodness what a task!
Cool! We really lucked out this trip with no one else there. The flat circular campground makes for good line of sight, so it's a great place for the dogs to run around. Plus, fewer active rattlesnakes now that it's getting down below freezing. This is the time of year we come alive here in West Texas. :) I definitely see the big inflatable cinema screen as a group backyard kind of thing. I'll for sure find a smaller piece of fabric that I can put grommets in and use on the road. The mini projector is great!
Thanks for the comment! The Napier served the dogs and me really well, but I sold it when I got my van because I didn't think I'd need it. Six months later I've started wishing I'd kept it to try with the barn doors on the back or side of the van. I was incredibly happy with that tent. The Kelty is fine for added privacy but I found I didn't really use it as often as I thought I would, since it isn't secure for the dogs. Each of those tents serves a different purpose, I think, and does it well. The Kelty does now have a version that's DAC poles instead of fiberglass, I believe, which I think would be a definite worthwhile upgrade. I hated the fiberglass poles. :)
What a great Thanksgiving! We spend our Thanksgiving week every year in Fredericksburg, away from family, and have our Thanksgiving day meal by ourselves along the Guadalupe River. Outside is the best. Your car camping setup blows me away but the movie screen as cool as it is, looks to be an ordeal to deflate. lol. Happy holidays to you and the little ones!✌️
Thanks, Jerry! Sounds like you all had a lovely Thanksgiving as well! Fredericksburg is a great place. The inflatable movie screen stand is an ordeal to deflate AND inflate, at least for one person anyway. Too big and bulky for a mobile lifestyle, but definitely cool for backyard shindigs or larger outdoor gatherings. I'll 100% use the cinema kit on trips in the future, though, because the mini projector is awesome. I'll just rig it up without the inflatable stand.
Texas... The Last Picture Show. That was the first movie I thought about when you were putting it up. Possibly appropriate for 2 reasons....Texas and the last time it will be used. It's not a bad setup. Maybe you'll get some use from it.
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
3:17 and playable movie screen pretty cool, never heard of one
This one is made by KickAss Products (Aussie company but they have a U.S. location as well).
Love the set up
Thanks!

Those tents look great. Are you happy with them. They look like they give you a nice shade.

😂
Looks like you three had a great thanksgiving! That video screen looks like a lot of work but fun!
Thanks, Kalman! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.
I got 10 bucks and says you won’t put that movie screen up more than three more times
Ha! Well, I certainly wouldn't bet against you on that one! 😂
2:16 I wish my dog behaved that well sometimes she gets a little too hyper
Thanks. Yeah, my boy (the blue one) is very easily overstimulated, so we've done quite a lot of training to help him be successful.
My two are definitely not ALWAYS that good. ;-)
I bought a USB portable air pump from Kmart & it’s great much easier & quicker than bending over using a hand pump
The overall results are very impressive and interesting. 💯👍🙋♂ 👏🙏🏻 I made a new friend 🙋♂🤝🏼🔔🔔🔔[[]]
