- In this video we go in depth on crafting and upgrading. These features can be quite confusing. This is the second time I make a video on this but that's because I found out more things now that I did not have the answer yet. Now I have found the answer to all of those questions including how to unlock quickhack blueprint and other weapon blueprints. Hope you enjoy!

Was getting sick of ammo searching. Had NO clue you could craft your own 🤯
You can buy it from all the gun shops
@@mandarinduck5507 So much cheaper to craft your own. literally break down all gray and green gear and you will have more than enough to keep ammo instock. It is like 9 gray and 4 green components for ammo, or 9 item and 4 upgrade components. Very cheap, and it makes like 20 or 50 rounds per.
There's also an ammo cap for what each gun can carry, so don't spam craft too much. It's dirt cheap to craft them, but it might save you time to just craft in batches of ten or so. :)
Don't feel bad. I found out i could craft my own ammo.....on my THIRD playthrough 0_o So much to this game it's not even funny.
I feel the same, so much in this game
Ahh this is really helpful! Especially the clarity on how crafting a new version of an iconic weapon and how upgrade levels work!
Dude your videos are so easy to understand, so many other people “assume” that people watching know certain things and we don’t. You actually explain every step and you helped me get my skippy up to legendary
Wait can skippy get to legendary? Maybe a glitch?
@@user-fj9cr7mu7o ya you can just get the crafting to legendary, make sure you make a copy in the sell machine glitch and pick pacifist when you get it so it switched to head shot
if you took 1 minute to read the perks you'd know all of this.
@@Ecliptor. dam I think your the longest person to respond being a dick, what took so long?
@@cliftonsargent1572 what are you even talking about?
If you have two of the same iconic weapons, make sure that you drop the one you don’t want to upgrade before upgrading, or you may get a sub-optimal upgraded weapon.
...Huh?
Man, I don't get this at all. Why'd they make crafting so convoluted?
Game is so damn good.
On pc it’s my favorite game ever
Bruh I agree. I can’t get enough of it
it couldve been but its not rly, kinda expected more, way too many bugs but the city is the best map ever
Facts Choom
im having fun for sure. definitely have had issues and theres a million ways to cheese the game. but thats kinda half the fun just like with skyrim.
I had no clue I could “upgrade” my stuff. Thought I had to craft everything.
Me too I just been gun blazing with old leveled guns
I just found that out with clothes i upgraded the suit you first where in the corpo life path to 33 on each to give me 100 in armor
I was half winging it and kind of knew how this worked through the Witcher’s complicated system. But this video was that articulate it’s made me 100% clear on it all. Cheers my man, subbed!
Pro-tip.
If your gear is outdated, don’t upgrade it several times. It’s cheaper to just dismantle it and create a new one.
Thank you for this!
I'm new to the RPG genre and the world of Cyberpunk, after 10+ hours in the game, these areas of my progression have remained almost untouched - that's about to change :D
DUDE, this was super helpful ! Im definitely going Tech /intel buld
Thanks for the video I had some doubts on crafting but now thanks to you I'm all good!
Thank you for that video. That really helped me out unlike the other videos I've seen. God bless you
It's worth mentioning for those that have not come across it, that all equipment vendors usually offer some crafting specs, although there is a fair amount of duplication. Also, crafting the clothing or weapon mods has a random chance of being an uncommon, rare or higher mod and those tend to improve as your crafting improves. Hope this helps too!
Actually with mods (like armadillo) you have a bigger chance of getting a purple one if you’re a higher overall level and not just crafting
Preem video, thank you. Subscribed. Thank you a clear to the point demo of the very in depth game customisations
Big thanks, guides are always easy to follow
Thanks great video, explained what I needed to know 👌🏻
As much as I'm enjoying Cyberpunk (mostly) I wish the tutorials were as useful as yours. Thank you!
Finally, I understand a little bit about what all the symbols and numbers mean on the inventory, crafting, and upgrades menu! Do you have a video talking about more of these things?
Glad you did a deep dive. Good job 👍
One of the best Cyberpunk tutorials on RUclips. Really helped me out, thanks a lot!
good stuff. been wanting a guide to see how good crafting is
Thanks, I didn't know some of these. I was pretty disappointed with crafting early game, it seems like something more beneficial later on once you get the mats and specs. By the way, I found a monk in the shrine from A Shrine Defiled quest who also sells epic and legendary materials.
Thanks for making this walkthrough video!
Good video, well explained. Cheers bro.
thanks for this, it was exactly what i needed
Very good vid/ tutorial, thanks!
Thanks, didn't even know that weapons are tied to level. I just saw that I got way better weapons than the iconics I got from the story early on. So I trashed some... Now I know that they have a hidden level behind them and that theoretically the smg from lvl 1 can be used until the end of the game
Dude, thank you so much. Finally a video that explains things instead of just bullshit.
Thx cyber z , love the complexity here. So many options to perfect with different playthru n builds in mind 👍
Agree. I'm hooked
Yup. Replay value is insane. Plus 3 starter areas so game does not get stale.
Thank you. Best crafting video I’ve seen so far.
Yo! Respect to my choomba! It's nova to find another helpfull channel that's not just a Edgelord festival.
Great content super informative :)
Find a spec for the epic gash anti personnel grenade. You will never have to buy commponents ever again . It literally builds for 1 comm + 1 uncomm component.
And then dismantles into 3 rare item commponents +3 rare upgrade commponents +1 epic item commponents +3 epic upgrade commponents.
Awesome vid... Learned alot
I got a rare sniper that does some damage but no legendary weapons yet. Thank for breaking this down. Big help
Great work, subbed
Thanks this helped a lot, I got jonnys pistol at level 20. I was really pisses when it did 99 dmg
Well this seems to be the general opinion but i must completely agree your explaining is insanely easy to understand thank you hope you grow
thanks, this is super helpful
Great video, thank you
Class video man
Holy shit, thank you. It’s not even complicated once you have it explained simply and clearly. I was just lost as to why I couldn’t upgrade my iconic weapons and such. Need more technical skill :D
Thanks this really helped
Good vid thanks
Nice work
Thanks
I hope a feature comes to lock items in your inventory so you don't accidentally dismantle them. Lost a few iconics already and can't get them back :(
Agree. Same has happened to me before
just so you know you missed the 'rare' crafting for the quick hacks. and you do can get around it a little by just buying the rare version directly from some shops but I'm not 100% sure you can get 'all' of them through the shops yet. but you can craft them up from the uncommon through legendary.
I found that once I completed the main story, through the ending, on my first character, all the vendors started selling epic components, they didn't sell them before the point-of-no-return, so I can only assume completing the game unlocked these.
That's exactly what I think too. I noticed that it's the only way to unlock them
I was hoping you would touch on this but since I didn't hear it mentioned, I'll comment here..
You said that we shouldn't worry about the specs displayed when upgrading.. however... I noticed on melee weapons, (specifically my katanas and cottonmouth).. that if I clicked on the spec itself more than once (before actually upgrading), the DPS shown would alternate between a low version and a high version.. Not only this but even if I clicked until the "high" version was shown, the end result that appeared in my inventory would be random between those 2 values. What I ended up having to do is first click several times to determine what the high value was, then craft it, check my inventory to confirm I got the high DPS version and then I would save before upgrading to the next tier in the same way.
Sadly I didn't realize this was happening until I already upgraded my Jichu-Maru to Legendary and I ended up with a crap version of it.. However I was careful with my Black Unicorn and other melee weapons and got the high DPS version at each stage of upgrading.
I can't really believe it's intended to work like this.. it's gotta be some weird bug right?? But I can't find anyone else talking about it.
Yeah you're then second person that comments about this. I did this with the lizzie and it always gave me a random stat and not necessarily the higher ones. Same with the kongou and a few shotguns
8:35 Field Tech upgrade does add 5% damage only to weapons crafted AFTER activate that or old ones too, and crafted Grenades? to upgrade your crafting skill level fast just make dozens of green sniper riffles near a weapon dealer and buy new components, using waiting 24hwait for restock ..
Quick question; does crafting skill affect how much damage my weapon does when I upgrade it? Like for example if I'm lvl 20 in crafting and upgrade my weapons, will they get more dmg compared to if I upgraded them at say lvl 14?
Thanks for explaining all this I was wondering how much do I need to invest in technical just to upgrade items i wanna keep?
Is it possible to craft weapons with sockets? Also, I noticed there is a chance to ‘crit’ crafts for consumables like armor mods. It gives you a blue roughly 20% of the time. It’s extremely powerful to slap 1-4 of those on whatever you find - hence the question. 🙂
Nice info. How did you get to know all this? Does it explain it in the instructions? Im guessing all this woulda been pretty difficult to fathom from written instructions.
Thx for this bud
This helps me.. A lot.
Has anyone else noticed that lower rarity armor/weapon mods seem to combine if you craft a bunch of them? My final build only includes Tech level 9, so I can only craft up to rare, but if I spam craft a bunch of armadillo, penetrator, or pacifier mods, I eventually end up with their epic variants.
Yes, there is a skill that you might be using. It says crafting an item has a chance to craft a higher tier one. Something like that.
Good video thank you
What do you do if you disassembled your iconic weapon? So I don’t have it now as a material. Is there a way to get it back?
Is it possible to upgrade the starter armor from common to legendary?
Lads should I be crafting weapons or looting weapons to use. Which are better just depends on the dps/stats?
Hello, after I craft a weapon and go to inventory instead of it giving me a new weapon with a certain ability I get an icon on the bottom stating crafting spec? not sure if this makes sense but I don't get an extra perk like electricity damage etc. when I craft it says I should get a random new spec. am I doing something wrong?
So if you, "never disassemble" iconic or above weapons. what do you do with the duplicates or lesser versions? Sell them?
Thanks!
how do you craft legendary items with damage effects like electricity, chemical thermal? Whenever i craft legendary items i only get physical damage type
Hello SR , i can upgrade my mantis blade or when i buy , she come at the max damage? i have a legendary mantis , and one more question where i can find a upgrade for the 3 slot ? thx for the atention
Wish I’d seen this before I accidentally deconstructed some of the iconic weapons-_-
Why would you deconstruct them
@@Splatcake Didn’t realize what they were
I feel your pain 😞. Would be nice if you got the blueprint for it after deconstruction at least for the iconic ones.
me too, i thought i can "rebuild" them, and i accidently sold some after rushing through some mob camps ...
well, i am smarter now, replaying the game for sure anyway. :D
My dude, I even have dropped a couple in the beginning cause I already had some guns with better DPS... 😂
So would you say crafting is worth putting perk points into cause i was thinking of doing a quick hack crafting build.
Well I hover and the components tab stay the same; when I see this video I said " finally" there's a way to know how many components i will get but to my dissapointment the components tab stays the same what am I doing wrong? If anything because you only hover over it and so do i
I have a question choom, my Skippy is epic rarity and so is my Divided we Stand, but I cant seem to find them in the upgrade tab to make them legendary, and when I upgrade the Johnny Silverhand's tanktop to legendary, the rare and epic version of it is still in my inventory and I cannot dismantle or drop em', what should I do?
Ok so in order to obtain all the resource components necessary to craft you have to break items down? Furthermore, are there perks within the attribute skill tree that I should get that would make this easier? I want to find a easy way to get the components I need to start crafting.
I still have a couple questions - if I upgrade an iconic item while it is rare, do I lose those upgrades when I craft the epic version, or do they carry over? Also, do the perks that increase damage of crafted items apply to upgrades as well?
Upgrades only increase the level of the item. If you make a new item by crafting it (whether you craft it at the same rarity, or a rarer version), it will automatically be your level minus one.
Exactly what I wanted good job, edgerunner...
I’m confused. I have some things that say crafting spec but when I go to the craft menu they aren’t appearing. I have it maxed out
after upgrading a weapon it gets locked for me even though I am same level it says the same level required to equip for eg I upgraded Dying Light to max when I was level 9 then a REQ tag appeared on the gun and I couldn't use it anymore.
Please help.
Do I need "Mech Looter" in order to get common items from robots and droids?
Just enhanced my Overwatch Sniper Rifle from rare to epic. However, after doing so, I could upgrade it infinitely. You mentioned in the video that after enhancing the rarity, it puts the weapon one level behind you. Any idea if this is a bug on my end or if it intended?
It's so the weapon isn crafted at a level you can use and also upgrade once. I'd prefer it went to your level but we didn't make the game.
(This is just an educated guess)
Some of my crafting specs are glitched out. I have the perk for blue (rare) items. I have heaps of components. It says that I can't craft my green (uncommon) Dying Night to blue because I'm missing components, but I'm not and it let's me craft other blue items. It's just the Dying Night and one or two other specs that are broken.
Every weapons vendor has the crafting components.
So do I max the upgrade first before crafting it to a higher tier, to save up on more precious crafting materials?
No. When you craft to a higher tier it automatically jumps to the level behind you and will create a new gun with randomized stats.
If you go to 00:34 what are those 3 cards at the top of your screen, and what's the percentages represent?
can I still make a spec if i accidently dismantled an iconic weapon ?
Ok karma how about this I have crafting specs for mods and it shows that it is common rarity however after I craft sometimes I get up to blue that is how dope crafting free upgrade skill is
After u upgrade iconic pistol from rare to epic, u can upgrade it to legendary as well?
Yes but you will need to unlock the skill for it
Yep U never need to pick any guns as long as U spec into crafting U can level the gun as well as upgrade it in rarity if U have the crafting spec
Is it worth it vs just keeping it in rare and upgrading it?
@@Splatcake of course it is u get some 10 dps more :d lol nah i mean it is not a loot game power differential is neligable and you will have to upate them when u go through lvls or they will start falling flat and higher rarity the gun is the harder to upgrade because u need more higher end components. so technically if game had endgame u should upgrade when u reach 50 but this is not that kind of game so live in the moment, upgrade what u and just use full legendary
Matt Smith I was so pisses literally did every side job and after I did I said to myself when I’m done I’ll finally look it up just to be disappointed that u can’t
ok but how do i upgrade some epic iconics to legendary, i have the crafting skill maxed out and i want to use lizzes pistol but cant. any ideas why?
Is it better to upgrade to the highest level I can do then upgrade it? Or can I just upgrade it then level the weapon as I level?
Thx man
I'm same level as you and not even once have I touched the crafting menu yet, I dont really even see a need
If you upgrade a blue to a purple, can you then upgrade that purple to a gold? Just wonder if you can only go up one color level or multiple. Also, why do only certain items have blueprints and not everything once you break it down?
*Upgrade craft skill east* I'll try and be brief...
All you do is craft basic grenade, as many as possible. The more the better. After you get crafting xp. But wait there's more...then you go to backpack and then the grenade sub menu. Click X on grenade then hold triangle and dismantle all. Grenades will NOT dismantle though. No need to press X again just keep holding triangle then dismantle with square. Once you do this a few minutes exit the menu and you will see thousands of xp ( I used almost 200 grenades for about 3 min and got over 10k xp for crafting.)
Is there a way to get back iconic weapons that were dismantled by accident?
Excelent!
Do all mods stack?
Some of mine are but some don't seem to..
I wonder how to use the tune up perk.
can I recraft legendary gear or do I have to upgrade it to get it up to my level?
Has anyone got the malorian arms 3516(Johnny's handgun) to upgrade past 530.0 dps? Mine just stop showing on the upgrade menu...
Does your current level affect the crafted weapon/gear stats? Is it better to craft legendary when close to max level or dose it not matter?
Doesn’t appear so. Your stats and level do affect the weapon but not like that. If you craft a legendary at a lower level it will increase in damage as your level goes up. It’s stats aren’t capped based on what level you got it at like in some games like Oblivion.
Hey Bro awesome vid with great explaining! So i have some follow up questions:
1. Is it possible to craft our Iconic weapons to Legendary? I guess it would require us to get that specific specc for it if thats even possible?
2. Now we need to figure out whats the best way(effective and/or lucrative) to upgrade/craft some weapon to highest level and rarety? Meaning do we wait 10 lvls to upgrade or do we craft it, then it automatically goes up to same lvl? Do you understand my question?
3. Can we upgrade or craft Mantis Blades and these types of arms/legs? i cant find it anywhere?
Hope u have time to answer my questions?
Thanks again bro
1. Yes. Some iconic weapons will automatically provide the legendary blue print when you make them purple.
2. You can wait until your max level to craft it. But there's a tradeoff. It'll do less damage in the end. But if you waste resources and upgrade it before crafting the better rarity, you'll get more damage. The amount of damage will be based off of how many times you upgraded it before crafting. Keep in mind it's not an insane difference in damage. So don't worry too much about it. I'm still testing how much it is.
3. No you can't.
@@zKarma Cool thanks bro!
I have clothing pieces that say crafting spec at the bottom of the description, anyone know what that means? No option to craft them in my crafting screen. I can't figure it out.
Same here. Did you find out?
Do the crafted weapons have mod slots?
