    Pro Tip: All Legendary clothing/armor has 3 or 4 slots on them as their max.
    Save right before you pick up a legendary item and reload until you get one with the max slots in it, as the number of slots as well as the upgrades will be random each time.

    Now i don't know where i got it but if you find schematic for grenade called "Gash Antipersonnel Grenade" its insanely good way to get blue and epic quality materials when deconstructed and what makes is pretty OP is the fact it costs 1+1 uncommon items to craft and it gives you 3+3 blue materials and 1+3 epic materials. It also gives 6xp so when you "farm" deconstruct materials you also get decent amount of exp at the same time so its kinda win-win :D

  • @WildVii
    @WildVii 3 года назад +2

    A lot of the crafting system in this game is structured very similar to the system in Witcher 3. The stepwise progression for each weapon is very similar. The Witcher didn't have so much overhead just to unlock those tiers apart from having the crafting diagrams and the previous tiers item. So to craft the next level of Witcher gear you needed the previous level's gear item and the blueprint and components for the next level. And the money, since you couldn't craft on your own. You had to do it at a smith. Also another thing, I'd recommend that you should make sure to buy all of the crafting diagrams. Buying lower-tier item diagrams removes them from the loot pool and allows you to get higher tier diagrams from vendors and drops.

    I'm doing a Crafting/Submachine Gun playthrough at the moment, and crafting is super powerful. My V is presently lvl 15 and just started Act 2, and all his Weapons and Armor are Legendary Quality and I didn't spend an Eddy on a single thing other than buying my Cyberware and a grenade crafting spec. Not to mention that the Tech tree boosts your armor a ton. My V at lvl 15 has over 1500 armor. I expect to have well over 5,000 armor by the time I hit lvl 30.
    I found the best way to get materials is to craft/disassemble blue frag grenades and green health pots. It's a major click fest and the crafting xp gain is slow, but in both cases you get more components back when you disassemble than it took to create the item. I too really hope they add bulk crafting option at some point. All that clicking is gonna make my carpal tunnel start acting up again. :)

    Just use Disassemble with the item Selected, and it won't consume it, but will still give a small amount of craft exp.

    Little late but hopefully this get read. Buying Stim pack blueprints from a med vendor. You make the purple with minimal green components and they disassemble into multiple tiered components. Much better than upgrading weapons for 100 EXP per 20 common and 15 uncommon parts. You get 56 exp per purple stim pack. theyre 14 common and 7 uncommon so slightly more expensive BUT they disassemble into 4 common, 3 uncommon, 3 of each of the blue tier and 1 epic item and 3 epic upgrade components.
    Also if people are really struggling with EXP there is an exploit. If you disassemble EQUIPPED grenades they DO NOT disappear, you also dont get the components but you do get crafting EXP. So its an infinite EXP exploit.

  • @Partimehero36
    @Partimehero36 3 года назад

    You get crafting xp from disassembling as well. Super useful. Disassemble drinks into components. Disassemble everything. Also, it's a bit glitchy, but if you have a stack of something, disassembling one at a time gives you XP as though you disassembled the whole stack. Particularly useful for stacks of grenades, for instance. With that glitch, it's incredibly quick to level crafting.

  • @darthreven9061
    @darthreven9061 3 года назад

    Bonus tip this is a bit more well known but if you go to any vender that’s sells drinks buy all of them as well as all vending machine drinks you can bulk scrap them and use the scrap to craft gear or just sell the scrap ultimately making more then you spent by a lot venders stock restocks every day and vending machines tend to be random with how much they have as well as when they restock. Also try facing a bit to the left when buying the soda as to be angled just right to pick up the drinks and buy them saves you a few seconds and in night city that enough time to get shanked exactly 7 times

    CDPR changed things w/ 1.5-1.6. ALL clothing items no longer have same mod slots as before. Now usually they have 1 mod slot inherent to the Item and one open slot or 2 open slots.
    In addition, ALL mod levels have to match or not exceed the Item level AND go on an Item type.
    The level matching and use changes apply to weapons also.
    Pre saving and reloading on a high-quality item still works but you will still be bound by the new rules and iconic weapons will only change a small feature like crit chance/damage.
    Upgrading items is tied to leveling. Once at lvl 50 you can craft and item but can't upgrade until they raise the max level

  • @CraigUKgames
    @CraigUKgames 3 года назад +6

    Pretty sure you cant stack crit mods like that. When I put multiple Crit chance mods on for exampe and go check the stats screen, it doesn't change, neither does multiple crit damage.
    On top of that its also buggy, if you put on two crit chance mods on different items of clothing and take one off, it reduces your crit chance, even though you still have a piece with it on, you have to take that piece off and back on again to get it to show on the stat screen again.

      @@Chadly99 Once you get to lvl 16-17 on crafting, I’d advise focusing on upgrading your gear. I’ve found that your gear ends up giving more exp than anything. Especially if you focus on one piece. For example: my blazer gives me almost 5k exp per upgrade, while crafting individual items gives me around 200-500 (I wasn’t paying close attention to the numbers, so I might be wrong). Be aware though, that this will suck up tons of crafting materials. While it’ll be cheaper craft a bunch of legendary weapons/gear to sell, I find it a little wasteful since those components won’t help me in the long run.

    One of the best ways to both earn some credits and level crafting is that scrapping some cans then crafting green jacket which is sold for 400 credits or higher depending on armor values which increases with your level!! You can also craft epic heal with only common materials then scrap it for epic materials which is extremely useful for farming epic materials.

    Another thing to note here. Is that you get more xp towards crafting through upgrading than you do actual crafting. A good practice is to throw any common weapons/armor you get into your stash as you're leveling. When you get the perks 'Efficient Upgrades' and 'Let There Be Light'. Go back and upgrade each common drop a couple times. Then disassemble and move onto the next item. The tedious part is having to go back and deposit stuff in your stash. And being without the components or gold from disassembling or selling those commons as you level. But trust me, it pays off later on by giving you a lot of xp through upgrading efficiently as possible.

Tech, or crafting at least, is also the only tree with persistent effects even if you respec: Once you reach max level and max level gear, you can make your kit before reallocating your skills somewhere else, or simply roll back a little to still enjoy the crafted weapon bonuses, which are almost as good as the bonuses of the respective weapon's tree.

    you can power level crafting with expensive upgrades/crafts
    if ressources are the problem .. you can generate them by crafting items which have a chance to get crafted in high quality and uncrafting them produces MUCH more components than the crafting before cost.. in other words .. you get infinite ressources for crafting, it's just increddibly tedious since you can only craft/uncraft 1 item at a time ..
    aswell as higher quality bounce back / max doc etc generate more than they cost .. just .. yes it takes time .. craft 100 of them and uncraft them afterwards (nice gimmic here .. you can bulk disassemble those [unlike armadillo etc which have an insane item output]) you will be swimming in crafting ressources. and train the skill at the same time

    You only need 1 point in workshop perk because of the way it works. It calculates the bonus when you put your cursor on the items, it's really weird that they thought this was good. So all you have to do is move your cursor back and forth till it shows you'll get more components. This is specially good when you disassemble in bulk, for example, when you make hundreds of Maxdocs mk3, the difference between 3 and 5 epic upgrade components really adds up when you get it for ALL of them.

      For some people it doesnt corrupt, for some it does.
      Crafting I think is a large cause of the bloat from what everybody reports.
      So the issue isnt that they have too many items, the issue is that theyve crafted X number of times.
      Im certain this was caused by the update 1.04 or 1.03 because thats when the reports started coming in

    Crafting is very tedious and time consuming. As I've gotten older I've chosen to value my time over "fair" gameplay when playing single player games. I still avoid what I consider obvious exploits but I am now OK with cheating so long as it is only removing time sinks and avoiding other unfun mechanics I could (but don't want to) perform myself. With that in mind here is what I did to make crafting WAY easier:
    Download and install Cyber Engine Tweaks from nexus mods. It doesn't change the game - it helps with some bugs and most importantly for me fixes the virtual input bug (yes it is a bug, not a security feature).
    Wrote an AHK script. It's a simple loop that clicks down, sleeps 845 milliseconds, clicks up, sleeps another 50.
    Now I can run the script and it crafts for me. I can watch a movie, walk away, mow the lawn, etc. If you want to be a bit extra you can make the script send the clicks directly to the game and still use your computer for other things. I didn't feel I needed this.
    Additionally I later decided to add a bit more "cheat" to it. I use cheat engine to speed up the game to 10x speed. I gave cheat engine some hotkeys, I adjusted the script to activate/deactivate those hotkeys, and adjusted click down to 350. It now crafts almost 3 times faster. You will have to adjust based on your PC performance. It doesn't actually run the game at 10x speed.

Even though it may dismantle some items that you could have sold for $750 Eddies but still it's much more efficient to have all of the junk that you pick up be dismantled right away and in so doing getting passive experience that way. If CD projekt could Implement some kind of filter on what could be dismantled that skill would literally be god tier.

    Also, stacking crit damage doesn't work as intended. Get crit dam from perks if you want but getting one deadeye and one bully is the best you'll be.
    Crit chance is diminishing return and you can get fairly high cc from perks.
    Also, speccing into damage first then crafting later...yeah you'll have an easier time with the things you have but the things you have won't be as good ever as the ones you craft.
    Without utilities you won't have power to give to your tools to tinker with your gunz. Having a utility build early will yes slow you down somewhat but at the end of the day it'll make you a god early on. LV 25ish and have legendary quickhacks doing 12-15k contagion crit reliably with SC 50 over 1.2m eddies bagged and all items are crafted where possible. I'm in act 2 and crafting epic nades to disassemble for mats, freecraft boosting legendary mats and disassembling €$10 soda for 3 €$8 and 5 €$5 mats to craft more nades from 1-1 for 0-0/5-5/3-3/0-0 giving you infinite money and mats while clearing a 12-17 NPC encounter in 2-3 seconds is God mode.
