Excellent video. You have demonstrated here that AI photography has so much in common with real photography. In a way, one could argue that it has advantages: no expensive cameras, lenses, models, props, plane tickets, no attitude form anyone, just the creators and their ideas. With AI we can create images that we could never attempt in real life. The knowledge needed to take real photos is exactly the same, but here, we can experiment with ideas instantly. Actually it is a learning tool for real photography, as one can experiment and learn the different permutations it takes to create the perfect image. On the other hand, the creator is stuck to a screen, no interaction with people, places or things (Lightroom anyone?). You will never need to visit anywhere to get creative (no waiting in line at the x-ray machine), or wake up at 3am to capture the perfect sunrise (and possibly miss the perfect shot). I think both formats can exist side by side one can benefit from the other, and while photographers cry that they are being replaced, we can always try to prove our worth by pushing the boundaries our our craft, or using our knowledge and experience to benefit from the developments that are taking place, whether we want them to or not.
Hey man, I just like to say congratulations! You are clearly a very talented tutor, and you are currently producing the best guides for mid-journey out there (trust me, I've watched a lot of them). I wish you massive success in the future! Please do consider seeking out coaching for RUclips growth. Your content is ace, but as we all know, good content isn't the only part of being seen on a platform like this. Don't worry; I'm not a coach trying to sell my services. I work in marketing and have ZERO clue about RUclips but try and find someone who can help (and actually knows what they're talking about) to make sure that as many people as possible see your work! Investing in someone with that knowledge will pay off for you in a massive way!
I´m a filmmaker and digital artist and I´m blown away by this kind of new technology that I believe will change the way we make films forever. My main problem to integrate this tech into my storyboard and concept art workflow is how to maintain a consistent look for my characters faces in a sequence of images. How can this be achieved ? If I find a way to do this it will be a powerful tool for my pre production work. Any ideas about this matter ?
I'm amazed at how much content you've managed to fit into an eleven-minute-long video. Literally, many people would turn this into a course and post it on Udemy for 20 dollars. You get straight to the point and explain everything in an understandable manner, with beautiful images illustrating the parameters along the way. Thumbs up and subscribed. 👍
@@walterrldias Yes you are right, but I have 2 things to say here, 1st, he tried and tried until he discovered how to utilize the tool -midjourney- to create what he has in mind, and that's not a so-easy task, midjourney feels chaotic and unexpected most of the time. 2nd thing is, he at least shared his experience and formula, and I respect this, most of people share there AI-generated images without sharing prompts, like it's some kind of a confidentiality.
@@poshellinteriors totally agree, but consequently then the sensible comment would go: I am mesmerized by your prompts and your sharing of it. then Midjourney nailed it.

Thank you for the informative video, been using MJ for about 7-8 months just for fun maiinly, I purchased your guide and now looking forwards to using it, thank you.
Excellent work. Love the layout of your text and the way you break down the different elements for easy review. I did notice at 3:38 MJ generated 2 right hands.
Damn these images are crazy realistic. You can kind of tell they are AI generated if you stare at them long enough, but this technology is getting scarily good at creating images.
You should definitely make a simple web app out of all these prompt building blocks to create prompts for Midjourney. And then combine it with the OpenAI API to use a GPT model to fill those placeholders in the prompt which a user has not specified. (I use a good ChatGPT prompt to have ChatGPT enrich simple keywords to full Midjourney prompts by adding context description, matching styles, etc. With these prompts Midjourney produces images I would not have thought of myself. Of course, this is pure exploration.)
@@TheARTCONCEPTS Not a collection of prompts. A tool to mix your own prompt ideas with proven modifiers (or own ones) to achieve the desired effects. The same as copy and paste from PDFs with collections of tested building blocks.
"With these prompts Midjourney produces images I would not have thought of myself." means, that you pretend to be creative, but you aren't. But it seems, this is the new way to get attention. The question is: why?
@@TheARTCONCEPTS When I use prompts like this I don't claim to be creative. That's pure exploration what the tool or tools do with a minimal input. That's completely different from using these tools to achieve a desired output.
Thanks so much for this! Can't wait to try it out! You definitely earned my Sub. :) About to go look for myself, but just wondering if you've made any videos about: 1. How to create a "character" who is repeatable? (Would be cool to have a unique person to put into all kinds of scenes). 2. How to modify a scene that's almost perfect (EG: "remove the lamp from this scene" or "Make the girl blonde, and change her outfit" or "keep the girl the same but change the background".
Really, Really useful thanks for doing this. One of the biggest problems I have with Midjourney is getting it to create a Microscope or any other type of slightly specialised equipment. Any ideas as to how I might fix this problem?
We've all seen realistic AI stills, but where AI usually falls apart is in natural movement of humans or even animals. I'll admit to being amazed by the trompe l'oeil AI scenes in "Life of PI", but few CGI effects can match that one. Programming AI with generalizations, no matter how "specific" are knock-offs.
Same. I'd like to see an example of simply inputting for one of these 'cause it may all seem obvious, but I'm mucking up on a few things. So an example would be great!

Absolutely insane that a computer can generate these images. The girl seem to be the same on many images, but that might be do to the prompt that describe her is the same?
This tech will be the go-to standard for the film industry to storyboard their screenplays, if they haven't started so already... I'm really curious what it'll lead to beyond that (i.e., just how disruptive to working filmmakers and various other roles).
@@Knowdis96 i didn't say that they wouldn't. I'm quite literally saying that they will. I'm just curious just how much fallout there will be as it and things like it get more and more advanced
@@ste1bro That makes sense in theory obviously but the reality is that they won't be needed anymore. A director that's decent at prompts can just crank out a bunch of stills that they can then consult with the cinematographer on. What'll make for some truly interesting growing pains will be how some filmmakers will get these AI tools to yield storyboard stills whose look will be far beyond anything they could ever afford to shoot. Producers will quickly develop an eye for not being wooed by the flashy stills for a story that doesn't have the earning potential to invest the money needed to get it to look that good. Their best bet will be to ensure that the storyboards are mere sketches as they should be so that the cinematographer can come in and lend their visual voice to the project. Now if the cinematographer wants to use these tools to iron out some ideas of theirs *after* they know how much budget and time they'll have to work with then that makes more sense. But storyboard artists as we know them are better off finding something else to lend their talents to, if not broaden them.
