- In today's video, Alan and I are talking about how I worked through my fear of losing him, including what we've done to plan for the inevitable. We go through several tips for managing this type of anxiety.

I'm in love with someone who's 28 years older than me and I recently started thinking about the fact that I'm gonna lose him someday which is just gut wrenching to even think about. It got to the point where I would have awful dreams about him dying right in front of me but at the end of the day it's just the way of life & you have to treasure your time with them as much as u can while u still can ❤️
Very heavy issue, most will prefer to ignore this. naturally we looking for the bright side of the life.

Thank you for this video. This is such a tough topic to talk about and you’ve done great doing so. We’re 28 years apart and this is certainly a worry for me as the younger one. This got me very emotional. I think the component we as a couple are missing is the support group. There just aren’t people in our lives who understand the anxiety or other emotions. That’s something for us to get better about, because we do tend to do things just with each other.

Im 28 he is 43...i always have this fear in the back of my mind. I told him in a joking way, i want to die before you, or if you leave i will leave. I still have this fear even tho now i dont think about it. Maybe sharing with your partner helps, i want to say to him that i still have this in a more serious way

It's so funny ... you two are us (or we're you) When I make the joke about going dancing who am I kidding ... I need knee braces and a back brace to just stand, but I still work. We don't drink, and we stay away from restaurants because with porphyria I can't have garlic ... I think they are putting garlic in peanut butter now ..lol
Tammy noticed that about being around couples my age, the wife usually throws daggers at her, afraid her husband will get ideas. We also have found that some family with young daughters that don't want them getting the idea its acceptable to come home with some one your dad's age

thanks for the validation - this is my greatest fear ever since. my husband and I have 18 years gap. It pains me to be too happy sometimes knowing that one day I'll miss it so badly. It's hard to lose someone you love but it's even harder knowing that it is gonna happen someday. I always pray that we get to live to a hundred. I really don't know what to do without him. 😔
