And that's James Stevens on guitar right? Last time I saw GLJ was when the brothers toured together for the last time. They were amazing.. I've been to hundreds of shows and theirs was still one of the best I ever saw.
I miss the old GLJez ...when they were energetic, alive and entertaining..... now they seem lazy, bored, effortless ...like they're there for the dollar now and not the fans
I hear you...If the brothers could of held their shit together they could have been a bigger band. It would be nice if they buried the hatchet and they both went out together again...There was magic when they performed together.
So you dated someone back in the 90s who was a fan of theirs, you couldn't stand them, and yet you decided to take the time to watch a live video of theirs four years ago because that's what people who can't stand Gene Loves Jezebel do. Okaaay...
GLJ was an awesome band back in the 80's. However, it's quite obvious that Jay can't hit the notes anymore or their songs in the 80's have been "technically enhanced". The performance says it all. The sound was awesome but the vocals are just terrible. Michael's version is a bit better. Although both of them couldn't hit the falsetto in this song.
Here's 2019...ruclips.net/video/i0m2avoTq1s/видео.html I did see them several times when the brothers were still together, that's when the magic happened.
GLJ have always been one of my all-time fave bands but Jeeez, this is the poorest karaoke-esque version I've ever seen. There's nothing like being unable to hit the high notes and getting the audience to sing 90% of the song for you. Shockingly poor.
Bravo! to those who sing almost as their best days!! A-ha, Jimmy Summerville, Marc Almond, Erasure, OMD, Simple Minds, DepecheMode, The Cure, Human League.. stop counting I believe..
@@miguelrejas5034 Good call. Yeah, some of those too. Robert Smith still sounds EXACTLY the same. Marc Almond still has a great voice, as does Jimmy and Gahan too. None of them sound as bad as this. It's just terrible.
Great performance. Can't wait so catch the true Gene Loves Jezebel this August in Denver.
You didn't.
Wouldn't be Gene Loves Jezebel without the "shh- shhuuh.''
You got that right!
Wow, he still sounds great.
Love this!
He still sounds good
Very good musician. Quite underrated.
Totally unique voice, can't get confused with this one.
That "shuugah". I can't forget that.Jay's trademark.
Nice video 🙋👍
OMG jay's hair... ! Lovely. Hair goals
He sounds great
Said no one.
Aos melhores anos da dark music goths e afins em SP
Saw them on Friday...sounded just as beautiful as always.
En agosto del 2015 vino a Asunción Paraguay en killkenny... obviamente los años pasan.. pero la música queda...
Gene love jezebel 💞
Great , THanks!
jay has always had the better voice
Who cares? It's great music. It's no wonder how American idol became so famous. It's for the simple minded dolts.
I would be greatly disappointed if I came to see them and he sang there best song like this
100%
100% agree!!
Thank you for speaking the truth!
Ready to be King ?
Tudo de bom
evaded the high notes ~_~
I've never seen anyone do that before. Those missing high notes are a crucial part of the sound.
👍💕🎸🎼😎

Still James on the guitar...Seen the brothers together several times as well and they are amazing together, too bad it will not happen again.
Cool😎😎😎😎🙂🙂🙂

Chu!! Chu!!
Nah. I have to agree. He can’t sing it anymore. Sad to say I see a lot of 80’s heroes of mine pull this nowadays. I get it, they’re old. I am too.
The ones I have seen have been spot on. Sound the same as they did then
Absolutly agree with you!! Many drougs
@@chica80tosa30 shut up
Yeah...he can sing it just like the old times.part of getting old.the instruments sound saves it that's all.
Where’s his brother???
They both have a version of the band
💘
Anyone know what kind of or brand of acoustic guitar is he using? thanks in advance \m/
TRIBUTE BAND TO GLJ
michael is glj not this jagoff
I beg to differ...They both were GLJ but unfortunately they can't get along.
😁

@@Demoniac_78 you did the same thing.fucking idiot.
He's hardly singing this song and parts of the song were recorded and he wasn't even moving his mouth it was dubbed in. I did not like this at all.
Can't get the gig without devil horns. Same as it ever was. Shame
