Enjoyed the flight and music. You are in a perfect place for range testing. Bet you could make those hills easily. And how far to the closest mountains. Probably be a good idea to get gps rth working first though. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Bryan. Those hills are a little over a mile away from my driveway. I routinely fly over there easily with both the 3.5" and the 7". I've had the 3.5" out to 1.25 miles on a 6s 1300, and I've had the 7" out to just shy of 2.0 miles with two 6s 1300s in parallel. I'm satisfied with that distance from both quads and rarely push distance goals these days. This is a great area to test distance, though. Very little interference and lots of open space (for now anyway, lots of construction happening). Thanks for the kind words. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻 and yes, I put GPS with RTH and finder beepers/beacons on all my builds that will hold them. They've saved my bacon a couple of times. Merry Christmas, amigo. 🎅 👍
Fun flying, as always, and a bonus roof inspection :) Sorry to see that OX-35 has been giving you so many problems. What was the root of the rebuild? I see it has new prop guards... bad crash? Also I'm excited to hear more about OX-22. Are you gong with huge 22" props or small 2.2"? :) I sold Banshee (Pavo25 V2) to a local pilot and ordered a Bee25 which I'll put my Mob8's O3 into, probably. I'm kind of excited to see what happens with the O4 / O4 Pro. AND I've gotten by brother-in-law, a long time paraglider and hang-glider pilot, into FPV. He bought an Avata 2 kit and is very excited to start flying it.
Ha! Yes, the roof inspection... it still sometimes takes me a long time to land softly 😆. I think the rebuild(s) of OX-35 were required for a combination of issues, but a hard crash is not one. The blue prop guards are just for fun. I still have the original black one. I think my original build with 3200kv motors on 1300 mah 6s was just too much for the F405 mini with 35A ESC. It was all within spec and looked fine on paper, but I started having motor wires desoldering for no apparent reason and ultimately burned up two different ESC boards. On the most recent rebuild, I went with the 2300kv ( like I originally planned) motors and upped the FC to a full-size F405 V4 with 60 amp ESC like I run in the 7". So far, so good 🤞. The OX-22 is going to be a Betafpv Pavo 20 Pro Nightfire edition. I plan to add a GPS module (03 AUs are expensive to lose) and possibly a better receiver if the stock one doesn't give me the range/penetration I'm looking for. The "OX-22" name is for the 2.2" props that GemFan makes for the Pavo 20 Pro. The "Nightfire" edition just means a Pro with translucent, smoke colored props, prop guards, camera cage, and programmable LEDs. My goal for the OX-22 is to have a sub 250 gram quad that is an indoor/outdoor flyer. I took advantage of a 20% off coupon on black Friday and felt like I got a pretty good deal: the quad (minus the 03AU), two batteries, five sets of props delivered for $111. 03AU on Amazon $179. I think the 03AU might even go a bit lower when 04AU drops... but I'll probably want an 04, too 😆. Cool that your brother in law is getting into FPV. It's definitely safer than his other flying hobbies. I looked at the Bee25. It looks like a really nice quad in this class, but since I already have the Bee35, and since the deal was so good on the Pavo, I figured I'd give Betafpv a go. So far, I'm underwhelmed with their shipping... I ordered on November 22nd. Tracking says it's been in Illinois since the 24th, and it's still not in Arizona...🤔 I think the tracking info is a fabrication. I've heard a lot of horror stories about their shipping practices but hope to have the thing by December 10. A few weeks from China to the USA isn't unreasonable, I would like accurate tracking info, though. Thanks for the correspondence, Dorff. I like hearing the experiences of other enthusiasts. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻

Nice van chase. You need a Part 107 to inspect your roof, LOL.
@TailSpinRCSpain Haha! The truth is it was taking me a long time to land softly 😆. Have a great day, amigo. 🫡 🍻
