RAM is a great album, it also had a development so perfectionist that i can compared to MJ Thriller, also having the constant worry of making a bad album after a huge success.
Better that they left on a high note. It's almost like Daft Punk understood they can't replicate or top Random Access Memories.
@@Code7Unltd Exactly, that's why they breaking up is a logical thing to do because you cannot make a better album.
@@spanks-chan9798 That's really a good reasons lol... I know that one of them has hearing problems unluckily :,)...
RAM ushered in a slew of absolutely terrible, overly slick, generic 80s-70s pastiche music, and I will never forgive it for that
@@darioparisi6863 At least songwriting doesn't require hearing.
daft punk to EDM community
is like
Judas Priest to metal community.
I'm not sure i get the comparison
edm?
@@saboss 😅 oh sorry, i mean daft punk to hiphop community,
Daft punk are best rappers
I'm not sure if I get the comparison myself, tbh
As someone who loves that minimalist, grittier, slightly more abrasive, almost-not-quite industrial electronic, Human After All is my favorite from them in an odd way
Honestly Human After All reminds me a little bit of Vitalics OK Cowboy
The Human After All album is weird but its not that bad tho
@@floweytheflower79 its not bad at all haha, I just wanna know why they only had like 6 weeks to make the album haha
Make Love is one of my all time fave tracks. That album holds a different kind of nostalgia for me
Robot rock being an mvp
Daft Punk has had a wild career. From their humble beginnings to working on an amazing soundtrack for an underrated gem of a movie as well as also being responsible for an experimental movie known as Electroma which is one of the most bizarre movies I’ve ever seen (and then they made Random Access Memories which (prove me wrong) is one of my favourite albums of all time). The least I can say is that I’m really gonna miss them
@@NazoCrystal Yep
What the heck do you mean humble beginnings friend, when they released their Tron album they were already internationally famous and had released three studio albums
(Also did you put a parenthesis inside of another parenthesis (why and how would I prove you wrong that its one of your favorite albums, thats literally just an opinion) thats kind of weird)
@@LucyWest370 Note that there is no nice way to say this so for what I’m about to say, I’m sorry in advance. What I meant was going FROM their humble beginnings TO working on the soundtrack. I hope that got everything cleared up
@@wolvepotter5858 I mean I would classify RAM as their peak rather than the TRON soundtrack considering not many people liked that movie but yeah makes sense
Honestly I feel they were the most talented electronical musicians, but then again I enjoy Human After All.
padadadadahuumann after all
nanananananahuuumann after all
It's wierd that I even love this album more than Discovery
(But RAM is the best of course)
@@kwagt RAM is my least favourite lmao
Human After All is just as good as Discovery and Homework and I will die on that hill
Can I join you in this hill comrade?
No kidding. Bangers all over the place on that one! The whiplash between Make Love and The Brainwasher is always absolutely insane.
Truth
Grammy nominee !
nah it got some good songs but its unlistenable through since its a gmmick album for the movie
If you're looking for something to fill the void left by Daft Punk, give a listen to a track by Lamorn titled "Missing Voices". It's a really sweet french-house song!
Overnight by Parcels is also a great track if you really like RAM.
I'd also recommend the band L'imperatrice in addition to parcels
@@SynGirl32 not only a great track, but It was also produced by daft punk themselves. it was their last job as a duo
Justice in general is great too
One year later and I still miss Daft Punk and their memorable hooks! They will forever be legends in electronic music!
Statement of the video:
a r o u n d t h e w o r l d
The Tron Legacy soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal, my favorite music. Been a Tron fan for 10 years
am i the only one who thinks Human After All perfectly fits with their looks and everything
it's like that's the original style of their characteristics
Justice is a good band to fill the Daft Punk void
I love this channel, but I will admit that there aren't a lot of bands covered here that I know well. I mainly focus on electronic music, so it's nice to see one of these for a band that I actually have heard the discography of.
Yeah I’m more of a rock & metal guy, but there are great standout artists in other genres like electronic music, Daft Punk in particular.
I still haven't gotten over the fact that they are done, it's so fucking surreal.
It would be cool to see one based on Pendulum albums
The human after all one was so spot on
Yeah it’s definitely a proceed with caution album
Its still a great listen imo
You should definitely do Agalloch next, or perhaps Porcupine Tree. Both really fantastic bands that barely get enough recognition
Well done lol. Thanks for sharing with us! God bless you :)
Those guys were two of the most brilliant artists I've seen! And I'm not an electronic music fan. That's how good they were.
Video idea: Muse albums described by Michael Rosen
Human After All > RAM
Wild take but couldn't agree more
By far
lovely
Tron is their best album
Let's go! He did it!😎
I still think Homework is the best. It's peak late 90s house and I think daft punk was at their best then. Even their BBC mixs from then are awesome
I think discovery is the best album ever made
5th day waiting for a smashing pumpkins, gojira or no doubt one
My MR thoughts on Daft Punk's studio albums:
Homework: "Hmmmmmmmm :)" "Smells nice, finger in lick it.....tastes nice" "But leave the snails alone" (only two snails in my opinion)
Discovery: "Vanilla Ice Cream, Peaches, Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Cherries, Trifle, Jelly, and Strawberry Ice Cream" "Ahhhh in the mouth it was Lovely"
Human After All: "That was uh... a bit rich but.....Okay" (I still enjoy this album nonetheless)
Random Access Memories: "Raisins Mmmmmmm" "but leave the snails alone" (only two or three snails in my opinion)
As for the DP remixes of songs by other artists: "Dancing around the house for the next hour!"
What are the snails in your opinion?
@@Valhalla05
I advise you not to get all upset if you happen to like those songs, its completely fine by me but again this is MY opinion
Homework:
"Rollin' & Scratchin" and "Rock & Roll"
(Both just static/distorted sounds on a beat)
RAM:
"Instant Crush" (Would've been better if Julian's vocals weren't Auto-tuned)
"Contact"
(Even without the Static-y buildup during the later half, it just doesn't move me as much)
@@santiagohunson6173 I get it. Rollin' & Rock are very niche, probably the most polarizing songs they've made.
Contact is one that you have to get used to. I remember when I first heard it it sounded like too much, especially when the synthesizers kick in.
Instant Crush is actually tied for my favorite Daft Punk song. The auto-tune adds to the atmosphere, at least to me, but it does turn some people away from it.
Rather nice
Can confirm this is accurate
I’m one of the few people who thinks human after all was a masterpiece
Good viideo
RAM is their worst album but still good, overall they are probably the best electronic music band we`ve had so far (alive 2007 speaks for itself)
I would say thinking of first 3 DP studio albums as "just" music is wrong. Elsewhere, additional video is just a videoclip, an addition, but with works like Interstella 5555 it is part of the experience
Ooooo I'm the early bird!
Beep bop boop who cares everyone's on drugs boop boop dot beep
Tainted Love by Soft Cell but every bamp bamp makes the song go faster

When are we getting Aerosmith?
Definitely one future one I’ll consider
Maybe sex pistols albums next?
Well, there is one album only so that probably wouldn’t be fair, but, eh I guess it’s fine for what it is.
maybe.... some van halen albums??? maybe?¿
Theres already a Van Halen one on the channel, and it was the first one I ever did for these memes!
@@ElliYeetYT damm that was fast... okey i change van halen for blondie
ALİVE İS THE BEST
above comment is not real real king is RAM
This shit is getting old.
You don’t have to watch it then. I like doing it and I think it’s fun.
Mostly accurate except RAM sucks ass
Interesting take but I do understand that.
Not funny
Totally fine if you think that. You don’t have to look at these.
