That was exactly my first one, born around the same time as this /\. Three messy little test tubes and wait thirty minutes (worth it!). By the time I had my fourth one 11 years later, it was one stick and three minutes :)

the tests them days were so long and bad technology it was the mid 80s and the tests now are mostly digital

They used to do tests at doctor's surgery,then they called you 3 days later with result.

Yes it did take that long i had 2 tests in the early 80s not as advanced as today
