    All other companies should learn from this guitar and make that neck joint where you don't have chunk of wood blocking access to higher frets.

    • @kennethnavalotajr3113
      @kennethnavalotajr3113 5 лет назад +5

      Everyone has their own opinion, Fender has a chunk of wood blocking the the neck joint because it is a bolt on guitar, allowing players to replace their neck in case it is damaged, and some people with smaller hands like smaller necks because it allows them to play with more ease, not everyone has the same playing ability, so for now, look for, “you guitar,” and promote it, and stop saying that other guitars suck because you can’t play good with it.

    • @stringsattached67
      @stringsattached67 3 года назад +3

      @@kennethnavalotajr3113 Who said that they couldn't play it or they suck ? That's all you dude . He said other guitar makers should learn and said nothing about them sucking or not being able to play them . You probably should leave comment section to people that can read and comprehend.

      @@gizemkayhan9245 a Gibson SG has no where near the neck access of a mm Majesty . Sg still has a chunk in the way.

    • @bioesploso8969
      @bioesploso8969 Год назад

      @@stringsattached67 the majesty doesn't have that chunk of wood because it is neck-thru, which gives you more accessibility to the high register but it bumps up the production cost as it is harder to manufacture and if the neck breaks, you'll have to get a new guitar. that's why most companies dont make guitars that way

    At 5:40 I noticed the bridge is slightly tilted backwards. Should it always be set up like such? I mean, all my JP models (JPX, JPX Limited Edition, JP13 and JP7 BFR) have always had their bridge as parallel to the body as possible.
    I hope someone at Ernie Ball Music Man sees my question.

    • @michaelsnydermusic

      My Sterling Majesty was great (way better than anything I’d played). However, when I upgraded to the Music Man it was another giant step up. I got lucky and bought mine from a guy who went to the military for 2 years right after he bought his. So I got a new bfr for a bit less than a brand new regular model. It does everything for me. I may just sell my Les Paul and Strat. Did you ever get one? If so, what do you think?

    One of the Coolest features that he did not mention in this video is that it uses their "Gamechanger" technology for switching ! The game changer guitar is incredible and has the full game changer technology. Not guitar modeling! it is a switching technology for splits, reversals, combos an endless array of pickup combinations that you would need a soldering iron to do. Awesome stuff

      +FenderSchonJPX You can probably order them to your guitar center, try it out, then return it. They have a return policy of 30 days. It's not a dick move because they understand that it's the only way to demo guitars without traveling all the way to NYC. I personally tried out 3 guitars like that before settling on one.

    This, in my opinion, is the pinnacle of guitar crafting. I've played a wide variety of guitars and this guitar along with pretty much any other JP blows all other guitars out of the water. I've never played a more versatile guitar than the majesty and I've never played a more comfortable guitar than the majesty. It literally feels like driving a sports car. Super smooth ride, nothing gets in your way, it lets you go as fast as you can as a player. There are no issues with your playing you'll be able to blame on this guitar. Personally I really love the arctic dream color, that finish makes it the sexiest guitar on the market too

    • @ironwolg

      mrmaybe I do love the JP6 but this guitar is a bit lighter and slimmer. Fret access is easier as well. If you're thinking about getting a majesty, check out Sterling by Musicman. They're coming out with one you might want to look into if you're not willing to drop $3k on it.

    I remember seeing this guitar in the guitar center catalogue when it just came out, a year or two after I started playing guitar. I thought the modern rock look and sound would be perfect for me. But as time goes by, you realize what things actually matter or what is important for oneself. It’s not always about looks, and features. “Function over form, not form over function” my brother always said. It’s kind of funny, I think this video introduced me to Piezo. It’s things like those moments that shows how much you’ve grown. 4-5 years after the video I bought my first Music Man Artist Series Dustin Kensrue Stingray.

    Played one of these for the first time the other day and it's the first Petrucci guitar that really feels signature. It's weird as all hell. It weighs like 3 pounds, the neck is still super thin, and the neck joint feels so unnatural like you forget it's through neck so you think how there could be such little wood connecting the neck and body. I mean the controls and sustain are great in true music man fashion but I miss the brass block and like always the petrucci dimarzio's are uninspiring. They're more designed to be used with high gain that they have such a flat EQ curve. I'm glad John got the guitar he wanted but this thing seriously feels like Guitar 2.0

    I have a Parker mojo for 8 years. It's my only guitar. JP is the first model I have found that has a neck that is as comfortable to play as my Parker. It's also almost as light, and has piezos which I use all the time. Parker is now one of the worst companies, every store in Canada has dropped them due to poor service, crap builds. They have gone downhill fast since Ken Parker sold it in 2002. I always wanted the Parker style but with a reliable company, and Ernie Ball is now their successor. This is the reason I am considering the majesty. I agree that the aesthetics of this guitar are the worst in the entire JP line, they look like they were inflated with air, but the polar noir black is the easiest on the eyes.

    great review (Y)
    that guitar is almost perfect. gorgeous tones, amazing options, smart wood combination, etc etc.. i'm just not a fan of the body shape (sorry, folks). but to be fair, it's a highly ergonomic design
    30 prototypes? that's a LOT =)
    cheers, doug doppler

      To each their own. To many (myself included) absolutely love the look and design. To each their own at the end of the day.
