    Great finds! LOVE all those Baby's Ear shells 😍 and fantastic Junonias. I was at the Space Coast Seashell Festival last weekend in Melbourne, FL and I met Gregory Curry Sr. WOW he had a shell display of a lot of his Junonias. He is actually in the process of creating a book of the different types of J's. One J was actually named after him the Curry Junonia. It's crazy all the types of J's there are; he showed me in a manuscript notebook! His display I believe was 9 cases and each case had 10 or more Junonias in them!!! I asked him how many J's he owns and he told me OVER 400!!!!! What a sweet man. He was interviewed here on RUclips. Video title if you are interested is "Collectors Edition; Junonias with Greg Curry". Anyways, happy shelling!

      Oh wow how cool! I have a regular J and a Keiners Volute type - they are skinnier and kinda more hooked at the bottom of them. Then John got this one too :) but I am very interested in his book when it comes out for sure :) Jeez We were over the moon with just 1 i can't even imagine finding 400 plus holy smokes!

      Oh I know @@echouebijoux. When he said over 400 I died a little LOL!! He sure has lived a fantastic life after the J's that is for sure. I asked him when the last time he found one and I believe he said 1998 (don't hold me to that but I know it was the late 90's...my memory is not the sharpest...suffering from mommy brain still nursing my youngest lol).

    Great find for your husband. That would be my luck....my husband complains about coming with me but then tries to compete to get the best shells (and sometimes he does).

    Hi Michele, I just started watching your videos and wish I was there, hunting with you 🙂 LOL. I just want to compliment you on your format. There are some people out there putting out beachcombing videos, with either the background music too loud to hear them talk or waaay over the top with foolishness. Spoils it for me, but I really enjoy watching your videos. Can you tell me how your camera is set up? I would like to record myself some day, but my camera is too heavy and my phone does not have a good spot for a brace. Yours seems to be consistant on every video 👍. Florida is on my bucketlist, but the way the world is right now, I am scared to leave my own town. LOL. Hopefully once everything callms down, I will be down, hunting your lovely beaches. Have a great day from New Brunswick, Canada!! PS.. do you sell any of your shells?

      Hi an welcome to the channel!! glad you are enjoying it :)
      for a camera, i have a GoPro Hero 11 that John got me for christmas last year. I also use a Telesin necklace mount. Its kind of like this gumby sort of thing that the GoPro mount hooks into magnetically, and it leaves me handsfree to be able to use the walker or pick up goodies :) i leave the horizon lock setting on too, so that my limping around doesn't make it so bouncy :)
      I currently do not sell shells per say - however, i am developing some things for my channel memberships here on youtube (working on classes etc) - and when that launches (hopefully soon!!), there will be a tier where you can get a box of shells a month in the US - I will have to see if i can still do it to canada with the taxes and duty and stuff :)

    Do you ever use those grabber squezers tools to help pick up things that are hard to bend over and get? It has helped my back when I tire of bending over too much.

    • @echouebijoux
      @echouebijoux  6 месяцев назад

      i had a sand dipper that i was trying out and we broke it i think lol... what i need is a better bag on the front of my walker so my hands can be more free and so i have a spot to keep the scooper when i am using the walker. I also get the kind of walkers now that have the bendy thing with the handles halfway up so i can get back up if i bend over lol... my system isn't quite ideal yet but I am hoping to design a walker bag while mom is here visiting - she's a better sewer than i am by a lot!

    Great J find! Congrats!
    Just a little constructive criticism...The music drowns out the ability to hear what your saying.

    • @echouebijoux
      @echouebijoux  6 месяцев назад +1

      its an ongoing issue i have been having. i can't test the sound out without publishing the video - but the sound comes out different on every device i try.
      i usually check it after uploading on a phone, an iPad, a laptop, and 2 tvs. the sound on the Hisense TV is literal garbage and makes the music sound much louder, but its fine on the Roku TV. On the iPad, it sounds like it is supposed to. on the phone some of the music is too low to hear.
      So i keep trying to find that happy medium!
      please bear with me as i try to figure it out - lol - i am not overly tech savvy and i have only learned how to edit just this past year!
      PS if anyone knows any sound wizards who could help me figure this out that would also be totally amazing!!😀

      Maybe, until you can get the two figured out. Try just doing one at a time. Just talk, or just have music. You have such a calm soothing sweet voice, it's a shame to wipe it out with music. Just a suggestion from one shell sister to another. 🐚💞

    What does your husband do with his shells

    • @echouebijoux
      @echouebijoux  6 месяцев назад

      lol literally not a thing lol! If they are special they go on our display shelf... if they are rough, they go in the flower beds. if they are decent they go into my crafting bins lol...
      that's why its funny when he teases me about putting shells in my bag not his - they all end up in the same place! :D
