The reason, Carrie has been so successful than other Idol winners. Carrie's voice shocked everybody. Carrie caught Nashville brass and country radio off-guard. Nashville brass were like what ever of Idol singers, they didn't worry about those other singers. Where as Nashville brass got sacred of Carrie. Carrie did exactly what they feared. Carrie changed the way Nashville operates.
Nashville was like Kix's reaction, when he was introduce to Carrie, he was like whatever and he introduce her to CMA audience, and Carrie to sing, Kix almost knocked over, like WOW, she's got power.
I can explain to Kix why Carrie has had so much such success. Carrie is just that good. And Idol didn't know hot to handle someone as good as Carrie. All, Carrie lack was experience when she auditioned for Idol. Idol was Carrie's crash course in the music industry. And Brad Paisley took over where Idol ended. Brad showed Carrie how to do a concert. Brad actually didn't have to do much. Once, Carrie started to sing, audience pretty much took it from there. Once Carrie got singing her 20-minutes as opening act went by fast, which is Brad slowly increased Carrie's time on stage. I think Brad said Carrie's time as opening act was up to 45 minutes, yes, strange for opening act to get that much time. Brad saw audience wanted more of Carrie and Brad obliged.
Audio SUCKS! Please fix the audio, Carrie sounds like she is talking through her nose while breathing helium. Plus her voice is only in the left audio track and Kix is only in the right audio track
Sounds like Kix Brooks was just as shocked as anybody, by Carrie's power. When Kix introduced her at the CMAs, he said ok. Then when Carrie started to sing, he went whoa, he wasn't expecting the power she possessed, kind of threw him off-guard.
