    Very good 👌
The TPMT inserts are a better choice than TCMT inserts for a dovetail cutter as the TCMT has only 7 degrees of flank clearance angle but the TPMT has 11 degrees of clearance angle.
I have made a couple of these dovetail cutters myself and made ten 250-201 style tool holders...I found the TCMT inserts start to rub when cutting the dovetail to full depth.

You are right. I only had the TCMT insert. I will try TPMT insert, thank you for your advice and information.

You can also grind extra clearance on the outer flank of a TCMT insert on a diamond flat wheel but stay just short of grinding the actual upper cutting edge.

Thank you very much for your kind answer ... just yesterday i ordered my first mill, a "Bernardo" KF 20 L ( a sort of clone from Sieg ) , i'll get it in a few day time, i'll copy your dovetail mill as soon as possible. I'll also have to make some improvements, first of all changing the built in it plastic gears with steel types ...
My best regards from Italy ...
