Keep away from any site that says "Free Download". That's like saying free entry into Walmart, or free entry into your local mall. They just want to use the work "free" on the page. It means nothing.
This is a sponsored video, so Kevin is paid to say that this is the best PDF editor. I think that literally none of the things Kevin showed in the video can be done with the free version, you can just try them for free with a watermark in your saved PDFs.
I read on the PDF Gear website that it is free for now so that people can use it and the company can grow its user base into a community to make the software better. Eventually they will start charging a fee whether it is a one-time fee or a monthly/annual fee, but will be competitive pricing to make it more accessible and affordable for all. This was similar to LogMeIn. It was free for a long time until they built a huge community and then started charging. However... over time their high prices forced me to move to another software platform. Hopefully PDF Gear will keep their prices low when they do start charging customers. :)
Thank you! I just checked out PDF Gear. It's very solid! I will recommend it to everyone from now on. However for me its printing feature is only on par with other apps, which is a bit lack luster for my work. If your workflow involves printing PDF a lot, I strongly recommend PDF-Xchange Editor, it has the greatest set of printing preferences I've ever used. And you don't even need to buy the upgrade since the free version already has all printing features.
It even makes me want to laugh at the amounts charged for an annual subscription. All this for a year, to deal with PDF files? And the rest? Complete office package, antivirus, etc, etc... So we were going to work just to pay for software. Wondershare lives in which world? Not to mention that I can find practically all of PDF Elements' features, on free websites and services or just by accepting some advertising. Kevin, I know you also need to live and pay your bills, so I don't criticize the fact that you do advertising. What I criticize are the amounts charged by these companies. For my part, they would not survive. Yours sincerely.
Didn't like it. I downloaded the app, tried it with a .pdf file that I have. When I wanted to save my "improved" file, they put me to choose between saving with watermark or BUYING IT!. That's a scam. I uninstalled it.
If you use a program everyday, especially to make money, paying for it as a subscription is justified. Examples would be MS Office. However, I edit PDF files only once in a while. I think people would be more receptive of a modified version of subscription plan such as pay only when you use like a car rental where people would pay for increments of 24-hour use of a program. I mean given almost all computers are connected to the Internet these days, so having a time tracking on a program is feasible. This includes in running the program “indirectly” from the browser so the program doesn’t even need to be downloaded.

Brilliant thanks Kevin! I have been looking for something like this for quite a while, and I did not want to pay a premium price to Adobe for just the few basic functions I actually need. I tried several alternative PDF editing apps, but they were all rubbish, so I gave up unit I came across your video.
I downloaded the app with the expectation of efficiently merging and editing multiple PDF files. But it proves to be extremely restrictive; it doesn't even allow you to combine three PDF files, let alone ten. This limitation raises doubts about whether the app truly lives up to its claim as the best PDF editor, as suggested by the video title, or if it's merely a heavily promoted sponsor with flashy features.
So on the basis of this review I downloaded and tried it to do one job. I thought I don't need any of the advanced stuff in the pro version. Cool. So off I go and work on it. It's pretty good .. was doing what I needed. And then I get to save the document. "You can save with watermarks or you can pay". Very uncool. I wished you'd highlighted this. It's pretty expensive if you only need it occasionally.
I got it, but the main reason why is because I wanted to convert my pdf to cdr so that I can search text, but it doesn't do that. Now I'm curious as to what this thing is good for.
What about accessibility, no one ever goes over creating accessible PDF's? I work for a university and this is the biggest thing I do and though Adobe lets you do this, I am always looking for a better, more streamlined solution...especially one with AI Capabilities to help shorten my workflow.
If I want to edit a document of which I have a PDF version, I edit the original,then convert to PDF again. I do this with both Word and Excel documents.

I've tried so many "free" versions of pdf editors for my personal computer and always get to the point where I have downloaded the program, filled in the pdf and then have to enter my CC to use the program for a couple days before I get charged a monthly fee unless I cancel. How do I do a "clean" of my computer to make sure none of the programs I had downloaded are still on my laptop and none of the forms I had started online and had used personal info to complete are still online?

I've been using this program for a while Kevin, and I have to say... what a pain in the a**. Constant pop ups for upgrades (and ya, you have to pay for them). I'm looking at a popup now that doesn't give me the option to decline, so I have to close this ridiculous program down and start it up again to get any work done. The program does work well, but TBH, the degree to which I am interrupted in my workflow to address this high maintenance monster just isn't worth it. It's all "pay us for this" and "pay us for that" B.S. I'm back on the market for a stand alone PDF editor/viewer that isn't going to pester me and slow down the work I need to do every day.

It is a wastage of time to try this PDF editor. Because in its free version, it is adding water mark to the generated PDF.
