@@Toxicated078 All it takes is practice, good knowledge of the editor, and a vision, which a lot of people lack. To be fair, there are a lot of levels that suffer heavily without glow and/or shades.
The biggest issue with glow levels is that they don't feel special at all anymoe. Like yeah cool, but can we, please, go back to when it was possible to tell two levels apart.
A level with building challenges is actually a really creative idea. It'll feel really unique and it'll stand out from other levels set in your own style. I think the idea is perfect!
why didn't you just recreate the glow with pixel blocks? It would require only 2 million objects to finish 5 second part with that approach. Pretty playable.
I have a challenge for you. Create a tiny level but you have limited clicks. So if you play test, it uses clicks and save and exit uses clicks. Placing blocks, increasing editor layer, creating guidelines, scroll through the level, typing numbers... Every input counts clicks and you have a limited amount of clicks to use. The reason your game takes so long to save is most likely a large amount of levels and big levels in general in you editor The only real solution is to delete as many levels as you can that you don’t need
Did you even do: 1. Go to all layers (Not the 0 one) 2. Then Select All in the pause menu 3. Clicked on Edit object 4. Then turned the glow off even there? 🤔 Btw, really good vid and level man!
Couldn't you use the bottom part of the half cloud deco for glow? Like flip it around and put it behind an object and it kind of looks like glow. Im not a Creator so im not sure at all if that wouldve worked but if it did it would help with ground spike design
Liked the video a lot, but I feel like that the level ended up being way too monochromatic. To replicate the glow effect in the block designs you could have made the important parts of the block less saturated and with brighter base. Plus, where are the color variations? I remember being so confused by the fact that when I set all the blocks to one channel and make it to be full RGB, it still looked insanely bland and uninteresting, because I didn't understand that it's important to have multiple colors to be visible At The Same Time, so that I pause the level, there Are variations to look at

You could just add some shadows made of black gradient pieces in the ground spikes or just lock to player on the ground Also you could use a black gradient orb behind all the air deco arrows (not the black "jump ring" but a gradient orb)
