    THIS is finally an excellent watch-it-happen explanation of how this bullshit works. It's not you over-explaining, either, it's just that both modifiers have nonexistent explanations in game, terrible descriptions and misleading names, and piecemeal placement of the values needed to figure out if you're capping these mods or not. I've been playing for almost four years and just now got a visceral grasp on how they work. Fantastic job.

    Another banger video. This taught me something new about chaining. I used to just bolting strike to victory but I didnt realize I could wait until the chain damage maxes out then bring in my other hard hitters. Couple of questions here, someone like Shrine Maiden Tsukiko, she doesnt need anymore chain limit boost into her because she has it at ex-3 right? I had to read through all her skills to see that. Also, when you are gearing for a difficult trial, how do you decide which units to use? Im watching episode 17 right now and if its explained there please disregard this question. And again, you are doing Bahamut's work out here like always. Im just really excited to learn more about this game everyday and I could ask a million questions for knowledge but I dont wanna get on anyone's nerves. Thanks for all that you do for us new players and vets alike.

      It’s really hard to tell on some units who needs chain limit boost and who doesn’t. You basically have to look at their entire kit, skill by skill. Tsukiko doesn’t need it at ex3 though.
      As for who to bring, I try to look for units who provide either elemental or killer support first, and then also consider who will chain together or who will naturally gear for the trial easiest.

    Great work, even for non beginner.
    Hope to have soon a v3 of UI with aaaalll the detail in "real time" during our building like chain cap, chain damage+ not cap at 300%, chain boost, LB's chain familiy (there is no indication since the V2 of UI was up or I've missed it?).

    I just realized now when chaining, the better gear unit goes first, then the secondary chainer goes second.
    Not sure when this changed but doing the Raid, I noticed the secondary chainer was doing more damage in slot 4 and my main chainer was doing less damage in slot 5 with better gear

      So, it depends. If you have a unit with a back-loaded chain like 2b or Chizuru then that final hit needs a nice steady chain built up and you kinda want them to start their chain at the end.
      On the other hand sometimes those units put up imperils for weapons or breaks with their LB and you want that to go first to make sure all the units can benefit from that.
      Generally speaking, though, your less damage support chainers should go first to build the chain.

      @@gerrtt84 Sounds good. I'm using 2 Squalls ex3 doing their LBs for the current Raid

      Well, raids are so easy it’s not even worth chaining…but I guess that’s good practice. Squalls base LB is silly. And awesome looking.

      @@gerrtt84 no no I am just limited by what I have which is basically every FF7 R,AC,CC and other type of Unit that could probably make the final push easy also I am still not great with my Units choice when it comes to tackling Sephiroth 3rd and 4th lvl I have Units that can work but not all of them are ex2 or 3 so yeah I am hindered by being relatively stuck in that new player situation I did weirdly well with the new Dark Lineage I still need to do Giant and Phylis crowns but I am oddly not worried I am also confused why my Phylis NV doesn't have the prompt for the Crowns

      Shouldn’t have to be maxed out…is it possible you already used gold crowns on her?

    Hello thank you for the series and explaining. I might have a question that could be interresting for players. I tried as a (new) returning players the last few events and i can't do damage at all at the 400+ stages even if i chain and look out for killers/TDH/TDW caps and imbue and killers buffers. I guess it has to do with base stats since my gear isn't good with flat stats or Ex awakenings are low. The question is how important are base stats is there something like a soft cap between your stats and the enemy stats (technicaly what are good break debuffs percents)?

    • @gerrtt84
      @gerrtt84  Год назад

      That’s a hard one to answer…it largely depends on your units and what skills/abilities you are using.
      However the best breaks are 90%, and most “good” breaker units these days break 87% or better.
