I cry every time I hear this song. Even when I've heard it for the first time and didn't know the lyrics, I cried. I am not from Kazakhstan, but it's so hurt!
Yes, he gets very emotional when he sings Daididau or other songs from his country... especially when his Dears from ALL OVER THE WORLD sing along with him in his native language. He is an Ambassador and his dream is to introduce us all to Kazakhstan and its culture. So humble, its so endearing! 💕
One of my favourite songs along with Samal Tau.I have a preference for all the Kazakh songs. You can see and feel the passion he has for his art! Beautiful sad song song, beautiful voice and beautiful person!
@Patricia Palmer lovely to meet you Pat. And thank you for all your little stories of where and when you grew up. Interesting really. And it's just wonderful to know that he is such a nice and kind person. It can't be easy to stay level headed with so much succes. Kazakhstan is a place I'd love to visit one day. I have a feeling that it looks a lot like Switzerland where I grew up. I am a very new fan of Dimash. They don't really talk about him much in Europe. Well not in the UK anyway. I'm sorry I missed the concert in London but I didn't know about him then. He is a fascinating artist. Beautiful voice and seems a wonderful human being. I respect his attitude in life. I saw a video of SOS on a friend 's social media and I absolutely loved his version. I knew the song as I'm a French native speaker so I'd heard many covers before but none like his. And then I discovered the other songs. Absolutely fantastic. A little info if you are interested, I have been writing poetry for a few years now and Dimash's singing has inspired me to write a poem about his voice and songs. I am thinking of posting it soon on my Instagram, when I feel ready. Maybe.😁
Спасибо за реакцию , понравилось , вы очень красивый человек и внешне и внутренне ,как наш Димаш , смотреть на вас Аммар и на Димаша двойное удовольствие!
This is a sacral song for Dimash how he interpreted with passion n emotion telling what this song is all about. Also for the Kazakhs people. Why are you always waiting for his high notes? Wassalam, syukron 👍💜
DAIDIDAU I pick a pen and wrote a letter to you my beloved Your complexion is beautiful as the full moon Every time I think of you, my lovely, My lifeless heart awakens with passion Oh, Daididau, My lifeless heart awakens with passion Are you determined to leave me? Our blissful past is but a distant memory Remember our solemn vow to each other To whom shall I divulge my sorrow O h, Daididau, To whom shall I divulge my sorrow (Cr. Gloria Wu's YT channel)
He sings high and he sings low but more importantly he sings to your soul. He sounds baritone and he sounds soprano He makes you feel All his staccato. He sings opera, Pop, jazz and rock He makes all reactor Silence in shock.
I found out that Daididau is a poem written in prison by Maghzhan Zhumabayev. The poet had just been informed that his wife left him, and this song was his reply. But it was actually a false information, a way to torture him and others that were arrested for conspiracy. He was executed in the 1930s. And this song is very important for the kazakh people. It´s one of my favorites of all the performances by Dimash, along with Samal Tau. Both filled with history and cultural weight.
Bastau name super important. Literally, after his Singer completion, His country hosted this concert for him, here he is singing for his people n country. That is why he is so appreciative n humble. ( he is always humble) I cannot imagion what it would feel like for my country to do that for me( not a singer here, but you what I mean) Dimash wrote this version of this song with help from his father's friend when he was teenager (ARNAU TOUR PART 1, opening he tells history of this song
Thank you for your video. I’m sorry, I think you didn’t get the whole performance. Sure he was thankful for all the love and support he receives from his Dears, but honestly, this song has so much emotional meaning for him and his people. He has given everything he emotionally has in him into that song, and more. This is a very sad song, and it shows in every second he performs. Especially in the end. You can see all the emotions in his face. He is emotionally drained after this song. I don’t understand any of his words. But I don‘t need to. His way of singing this song there brings me to tears every single time. And still gives me solace. It’s not always only about the spectacular, about the high or low notes, about the length of time he can sing without taking a breath. 🌷
Dombra is the instrument. I recommend that you catch up on the back story for this song so you could enjoy it better. This was Dimash' first solo concert and he loved that he could sing this very emotive Kazakh song and that the people sang with him. If you go see the same song in last year's New York concert you will hear him talk about it.
Ammar, in this song Dimash tastes the appreciation that is being shown to his character as a singer and an excellent interpreter of his roots abroad. You may even remember that when he sang that same song in contests in his country he was harassed for singing high notes, and he was told that he should sing normally and did not have to shout, to which he replied in an interview that one day he would sing this song in other countries and that everyone would sing with him. And this is happening wherever he does his shows..Dimash deserves all our admiration for the elegance, the high human values and the purity of his soul. take care
BRAZIL - Hello Ammar, sincere reaction to Daididau. Dimash is the only singer I know who can touch the soul of a person who is delighted to hear his magnificent voice. In fact, Dimash is the only one with unlimited emotion, a beautiful, serene, calm, angelic voice and does not need his vocal techniques to impress. I love all the work, Dimash's voice, but I have great affection when he sings traditional Kazakh music: Daididau was the first to lead the line, but Samal Tau is beautiful too and Kusni Korlan. I love the fact that it is always based on real events in Kazakhstan and I can tell you that I have a love for GESI BAGLARI, a Turkish song that I heard in Dimash's voice and I just fell in love with the music, voice, lyrics immediately. Dimash has a great respect for people, children, the elderly, from any country, but his humility is also magnificent, even famous, he hasn't changed anything.
Dimash plays a Dombra, a 2 stringed (horsehair) traditional Kazach lyre, along with all the other dombra players they were playing the kui, Adai. The Dombra is a sacred instrument to Kazachs and as they are a Turkic people this would be very similar to traditional Turkish music. He was wearing a shapan, traditional Kazach dress and he was telling them his ear pieces weren't working not asking for water. He got really emotional here, tears were flowing as he was so touched that he sang this important song here, he was quite overcome, after years of performing locally, finally he had a huge solo concert in his own country and they loved him 💖
A atmosfera estava linda!Tudo impecável!! Dimash é mesmo inigualável ! 👏🏼👏🏾👏🏾👏🏽👏🏻👏🏿😍😍😍🎶🎶🎶🇧🇷🇧🇷
He was pointing to his ear monitor. It wasn’t working so he had to sing it from memory. This song meant everything to him and all the dears sing this song with him at all his concert. His birthday gift from the USA dears was a zoom performance of this song in his native tongue. He gets very emotional when the crowd sings with him. His goal is for everyone to love Kazakhstan as much as he does. 🇰🇿🇰🇿🇰🇿
Kazakhs people are Turkic they are the ancestors of the Turks .The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups of Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa, who speak languages. The origins of the peoples has been a topic of much discussion. The East Asian agricultural origin of the Turkic peoples .
This traditional Kazakh song means so much to Dimash. He gets emotional at the end because he’d always dreamed of performing it on a large stage). When you know the story behind the song (see Gloria Wu’s channel) you’ll appreciate it even more. ♥️
That was what I to thought. And singing at that big place without them and singing this emotional song att his part of his carrer...wow hes so good! Love him so.
I'm new to you as up today and wow very impressive. Please consider reacting to something on his channel it's called The Meaning of Eternity. thank you again I love your reactions
Thank you for this reaction. I think you'll find that the traditional Kazak folk songs he does don't necessarily go into the stratosphere or have fireworks in them. Some of my favorite songs of his are the ballads and traditional songs that are just beautiful and not spectacular like SOS or Sinful Passion. Those are great and give me goosebumps but I think we sometimes place very high expectations on ALL his songs to blow our minds. Songs like Akkuym (my swan) and War and Peace are spectacular in their own way. He also has a new song coming out that has the orchestra in Paris laid down the tracks this week and it's going to be beautiful. To hear a piano rehearsal demo from awhile ago, listen to this: ruclips.net/video/LM-g9CsmtkM/видео.html **Don't turn on the subtitles, because they are VERY incorrect!**
He is pointing at his ear piece, they are supposed to cut the sound off when he is playing the instrument and they forgot to connect it to the in ear so he can't hear when he starts to sing. He goes without a sound and he nails the right key, amazing... He is not out of tune at all...
Yes, we are Turkic, the Kazakh language is very ancient, used to be called Kypchak. The word Kazakh means free. Kazakhs are nomads, we are the last settled. The Chinese have nothing to do with it.
No language, no blood, no history. The Chinese are just the closest neighbors, as well as Russia. Chingis Khan is a Turkic, he is not a pure Mongolian. His mother and wife were kazakh, so the current Mongols have a piece of our culture, they adopted it. We have a genus which is the carrier of his blood, only in Kazakhstan the genus with his blood has been preserved. Every Kazakh knows their ancestry. He knows where, where, where the ancestors lived and who they were. To the time of my oldest ancestor, Muhammad, there are six more grandfathers. Everyone should know 7 grandfathers. Many Turks do not survive this, kazakhs still have and will be.
I can understand your impatiens, but you should respect Dimash more. He represanting not only himself but his culture, he is proud of. Daididau is very special composition for him.
