This video is AWESOME!!! Thank you very much for all your hard work. Could you please do a video on how to sing someday? I'm learning how to play the uke but I then I want to sing along and all the time I spent practising didn't pay as the song doesn't sound right because of my voice. Yours is amazing, so beautiful and powerful. I'm in love with your vocal cords
HI, and thanks for leaving a comment. I just wanted to let you know that I just launched the first video of my vocal series today :). The next few months will be about singing and connecting your voice to your instrument. Here's the link and have a great day. ruclips.net/video/elV5X6ZHJBU/видео.html
I'm so glad that you liked this version. I saw that there were a lot of capoed versions, and I wanted to make the tutorial match the track without one.
AHHHH thank you !!!! I really appreciate you watching. By the way, you're FAST! I don't think I've ever had a company notice as quickly as you guys do. I really appreciate it.
Hi Lanikai, I really like the tones of this ukulele. I hear what Katie said in her Instagram description. Your ukulele is very pleasing to the ear. Hope you have a very successful New Year. Happy days🙏
Katie first of all, thank you so much. I had an incredible progress learning from your tutorials, you are an excellent teacher! Secondly, I'm playing the strumming pattern but when you play with the song it sounds very different (sounds really nice), I'm having trouble figuring out why or what could I do to sound more like that, is it like chucks or something like that somewhere? Thank you
I love this song, and am so happy to have a tutorial for it! Some tricky chord transitions for me, but I'm making progress, and it's fun to learn new things :)
Yesterday I was thinking about how I wanted to learn this song... PERFECT TIMING!!! Great tutorial, are you going to do one for the guitar, also? Thanks as always for these lessons ❤️
It's so funny how a subscriber thinks of a song and POOF it's here for you! I have this joke with a couple of my subscribers that I can read your minds. HAHA :).
I'm not quite advanced enough to keep up with the speed of the tempo on this on. I guess I'm going to have to work at it, mostly getting the fast strum worked out. The chord changes will come with practice. Thanks for the tutorial, I like this song!
hello ! I really love your tutorials ! I love the song something human by muse and I think it will be really cool to do a tutorial of this song ! kisses from france !
Thank you so much for watching! I do love Muse; however, RUclips might be changing drastically with Article 13 and covers and teaching populate songs might not be allowed anymore.
Hello Katie, back home again? I saw you playing this at the NAMM (of course just in a video). Wonderful to have a tutorial for that song now. I would like to thank you for what you're doing. Great job... I like the way you show chord transitions and practice the strumming pattern. But when it comes to the play-along that's way too fast for me. I don't like slowing down the video because it totally distorts the voice and I don't like that. I wish you would play the strumming pattern at regular speed (as you did) but with a metronome just for a short amount of time and name the speed. So I think this would help to work on increasing speed. Greetings from snowy Germany.
I actually filmed this one around New Years and had it done before NAMM. I was going to post it on Saturday, but I decided to wait to post it until today. I also wanted to see what it would be like to only post once instead of twice in one week. We'll see what happens.
@@OneMusicSchool I think only having one video per week should be totally enough for most of the people because most of us follow several RUclipsrs. And in the end there is no time for really practicing the songs. (Hopefully nobody will read this except you 😬)
I love this tutorial can you please do the song Listen to your Heart by Roxette it’s one of my favorite songs and I would love to learn it both on ukulele and guitar hank you so much for helping me get better at the ukulele
@onemusicschool your strumming sounds different than mine and there is more of a rhythm to it. What is it you are doing with your fingers of your fretting hand to make it sound so good? I can see you are applying and releasing pressure.
@@OneMusicSchool an example of a chord is on the ukulele the G major is a D major on the guitar as for the tab I don't really know. I really want to convert guitar chords and tabs to the ukulele. Sorry that's just the answer I can give you

My favorite Amy Winehouse song! I hadn't even thought about trying this on ukulele. Mostly because I can't do her voice justice. I have to stick to the Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, David Byrne vocal stylings. Stay warm. I'm worried about you.
Awwww, you're the sweetest. Thank you. We're doing fine. If anything, we're a little stir crazy because leaving the house is dangerous. We're blessed to have a good furnace and plenty of food...and wifi :). Is it cold where you are?
@@OneMusicSchool Cold for Florida. Haven't had to cover my pineapple plants yet. It typically freezes about 3 days each winter here, then it's mosquito season the next week.
@@OneMusicSchool So my kid bought me a Seagull Merlin M4 dulcimer type thing. Have you seen these? D,A,dd tuning. A total blast to play. Bluegrass/Celtic instrument but it has a pickup, so I patched it into my effects pedal board for a punk rock/ old world/ hillbilly mashup.
I'm leading worship for our Women's Retreat and for our night of worship, so it's going to be a busy month. I have all of my videos planned for Feb and March, so I'll try my best.

~~~☝🎶🏡~~~ Good day Katie, like this songs great rhythm and strum pattern, plus those interesting chords. Is that first Eb UDUDUDUDUUU pattern something you call out when doing chin ups? Easy peasy pattern until seeing the speed in the play along. Woah that's fast, appreciate the reminder to slow the vid down. You've got diy skills, how about a video showing us how to make a cement ukulele to build up our arm strength? You could make a Yogalele fitness video and when we've gained strength teach us how to play our uke's in wonderfully weird positions. Yet to see someone play while doing a headstand. That lights out ending kind of reflects Amy's life. That instant darkness highlights that we never know when it's time. I'm curious how can you convert a guitar chord and tab to an ukulele chord and tab? By the way I love all your tutorials ❤️
THat's a good question. Can you give me an example so that I can give you more of specific answer?
@@OneMusicSchool an example of a chord is on the ukulele the G major is a D major on the guitar as for the tab I don't really know. I really want to convert guitar chords and tabs to the ukulele. Sorry that's just the answer I can give you
Ok that helps. If you capo the guitar at the 5th fret, it now will correspond to the ukulele.
If you capo the guitar on the 5fret and play a uke G, which is the same shape as a D chord. Does that make sense?
