Fantastic toy fair video, some nice stuff on display especially the sealed Street Sharks and JP the Lost World Ground Tracker vehicle 3:23. Plus that 11:36 Aliens pencil set is really cool, I would definitely buy it 😁👍 Btw awesome Power Rangers pickups 👍🔥
Excellent Sandown and Reigate Toy Fairs tour video, Aaron. Great to see everyone enjoying themselves and making money and great memories. I absolutely loved seeing all of the cool vintage action figures and toys, loose and boxed. And I totally agree with you about the high cost of toys these days, Aaron. I have always had to pick and choose which items I collect, due to their condition and price, but some of the prices have just sky rocketed. Definitely miss the days when you could just pick up a bargain.
Mib figs were a steal, rare/hard to find was definitely on the menu at this show. That Aliens stationary set is something I never seen before 🤩🤩🤩🤩 UK exclusive?
Was that an original action man deep sea divers suit? I'm 60 years old and had it played in the bath ,you would blow into the tube and he would come to the surface, sitting with one night,it pinged apart because the connections rusted and the arms and legs fell off,i cried my eyes out 😆
+1 exploding prices spoiling the fun of toy collecting. Also, we often pay a "Pacific Tax" here in Straya. That jacks up the price even more, lol. Example: the Toltoys/Palitoy Death Star aka the only Holy Grail piece that still eludes me. Prices have skyrocketed post-covid. Do I really wanna pay anywhere between $AU1000-4000 for one? HELL NO. Can't justify that. I mean, I could pretty much pick up every other piece I want in my collection for that. Easy. So yeah, I'm doing a fair bit of window shopping at toy fairs rn. Typical scene: I see something I like and be like: "Ooh, nice! How much? Okay. Nah, I'm good. Cheers." 😆
I wonder if a few are avoiding the Street Sharks and vintage TMNT figs because of the reissues, for most the reissue will be good enough for thier collection so id expect the resale on the vintage to take a hammering.
Yea I agree with prices going higher it does take some of the fun out of collecting an example would be carboots price's have gone stupid don't go to many now lost interest, anyway fantastic video keep going great content
you're not wrong about the prices of toys getting up there to that price range wherein one has to say, "is it THAT important?" what is tarted to do is rearrange my collection. Take the wee elite out, put in Hasbro Marvel legends. re-arrange the Toxic crusaders and biker mice.... find a way to enjoy the collecting without cost and this is my way.
I dunno man. Collecting toys doesn't have to be expensive. Plenty of Amazing toylines you can pick up cheap. Have to question why you are doing it. Completism is a dangerous thing as is desiring stuff because it's rare yknow. I see toys through my daughter's eyes now and it's fun again . Always happy to add stuff to my collection but not going to break the bank unless it's something very special
That is my point, my man. I mentioned the high prices on everything taking the fun away from going to the show. I agree with you. Why spend big when you can buy new retro lines for half the price
@@Empiretoys1138I feel pretty sure the prices on pre 1980s toys are gonna plummet as that generation disappears and the 1980/990s stuff is peaking right now, especially with rise of RUclipsrs. I think there's opportunities to discover some really rad new stuff at a reasonable price.
Thank you for the shout dude. Ben did all the work 😂. Gutted I missed the show but see you at nec!!!!
No worries dude. NEC going to be wild.
@@Empiretoys1138 fingers crossed!!!
Fantastic mate as always
Thanks again!

Thanks bro. Yeah the pencil case was class. But I couldn't bring myself to spend £40 on it.

Glad you enjoyed it mate. Some truly awesome toys there. Just a shame about prices.
Always a pleasure mate - See you at NEC - not sure what's going to replace the Eternia on the stall but I'm sure I can find somthing.
Hahaha I am sure you will find something!!

Possibly?? I have never seen it either. Colours and art work looked amazing

Ah man, nothing worse as a child and your favourite toy breaks
Agree with you on the prices, definitely taken the shine out of it for me, prices are getting a bit silly sometimes on some items
Yeah man 100% I think it comes down to people buying bad and then trying to re sale.

100% agree with you, dude. I find with these toy shows it is just that, window shopping
Hate when I see something I need in the video haha.
😂😂😂 I do that too

100% agree. Selling ghostbusters and Heman is nearly impossible now because you can fill your collection with cheap retro options
This is the way
This is the way
Some cool bits seen shame to see that SF 2 carded Blanka in a box like that and the JP lunch box looked awesome
That's my jp lunch box!
I agree with you mate the prices are starting to take the fun out of it when your spending 3 figures on 1 item it’s hard
100% agree dude.
❤
❤️

Yeah I agree 100%. I think if I didn't sell I would go to far less nowadays.

Yeah man agree totally. You start to question yourself more when the price is high.

@philloomer 80s and 90s is popular but the more big toy companies make retro lines. The harder it is to sell the vintage toys
toy division is dead ..
Thanks mate
