What does everyone have against Partners in Time? Seriously, it's like people only focus on its flaws and immediately say "Nope. Mid game". No wonder people still say it's underrated to this day.
I really liked partners in Time. The darker tone really resonated with me. I don't agree with the anatagonist not being interseting, The game really likes to show you how evil the shroovs are (Feeding peach to peety piranah, sucking toads of their life force) and i think thats way more compelling then villains with a lot of dialogue. This was also the only time I was really intimidated by the villains, and i loved the plot twist with the cobalt star. I definetly think it deserves to be at least higher then dream team because of the better story and better pacing.
I agree too. The reason i played PIT was beacause i didn't like Dream Team and decided to try PIT out. Dream Team is EXTREMELY overrated right now, btw.

@@StewNWT Well... I did actually play it (the remake) and for some reason I just couldn't get into it. I feel like I should like it more, but... I don't. Not a bad game though, but personally I'd probably put it on top of the mid-tier.

I personally would've moved Paper Jam up a tier or two. Yes, it's the most forgettable in the series, but at least the good gameplay was left intact. To me, gameplay is the biggest thing that will make or break the experience. I dislike every modern Paper Mario game more than Paper Jam because none of their battle systems were enjoyable to me, even if the game otherwise had a lot of good things going for it. If anything, Paper Jam might be my favorite when looking at only the gameplay. Plus the battles were terrific, the story was compelling, and most importantly: it gave our man in green a feature role! Other than that, you’re completely right.
@@JacobCruiseThe best and the worst is like in Pokémon. Sticker Star is like X and Y, where the developers use gentrification to make them more digestible after making something too different for audiences at the time (Super and Black and White), which made them bad (the 3DS games really wanted to stick games to their franchises’ rigid definitions, meaning no new unique characters, no secret lore (mostly just revenge story plots), and obviously no fun). HeartGold and SoulSilver is like the Thousand Year Door. So many problems (bad Pokédex selection is equal to the bad backtracking), yet everything else is extremely amazing in story and combat.
