Since 2020, I’ve been using exercise for mental health issues. It’s been fun and I took up triathlon at 56. Last year, I was injured most of the time and my mental health declined a bit. I took up Zen meditation and I think it has fit in well with my personality and training. You sounded very Zen there for a bit. Something worth considering. Hope you get well soon!

As an amateur triathlete and fellow deadhead I really enjoyed this video. I definitely need to get my hands on that lyrics book! :D

Could you do a video on how you are optimizing your recovery for this over compensation and ability to do more hours? Also I would love a video on how to structure triathlon training if you also work a job?

This is how you say you did psychedelics without saying you did psychedelics.

So…. As a coach myself, that volume quantity is unnecessary this early. You want to talk about burnout, you’re on track for it being so young in the sport. Also, it seems to me like your mindset is structure vs free flow. BOTH need to co-exist together. There’s a way to blend both, and what I don’t want is to see you burnout, and focus so much on free flowing that the structure falls behind because of the preconceived mindset going in to each workout. What got you into the sport, focus on that. The only difference now is you have more time to REST and RECOVER. Bit more time to workout. I’d have a serious talk with your new coach, but it’s YT. You won’t. Sadly like many new pros you’ll be on track for burnout, but I truly do with you the best moving forward brotha.
