Thank you man, you are making me more interested in boxing as a discipline. I only cared about it in the context of punching for MMA, but it is a whole art.
hey man, am i right in thinking that peekaboo requires a bit more of a flat-footed stance? seeing as you are always getting up close to the target, and using head movement to evade punches, you need to be more flat footed in order to move forward. i've been going to a more traditional gym when they teach you to be on your tip toes and to spring back to dodge punches and then spring forward to return punches, if that makes sense. To me peekaboo is more of a flat footed stance as you are closing in on your target and moving your weight side to side to slip and weave, is that a correct way of putting it?
It all depends on what your doing. If your boxing more on the outside you can be on your toes more but if your pressuring forward your more flat footed.
Don’t stay square. You have your left leg forward like a normal stance but your shoulders and hips are more square. If your bladed more in your stance you can’t slip to the left very well. Only time I square my stance up is in the inside.
@@madhookersboxingmartialarts oh can u do a video like if ur getting pressured how do u slip, roll, weave and throw punches at the same time what I'm saying is like how so u do combos while being pressured by the other guy in the peek a boo style.
@@philipwalker9529 yes I think I can do that. It’s a complicated subject. Learning how to be an outside fighter and controlling distance. When the pressure fighter gets in you tie him up and turn him
Thanks MadHOOKer for this pefect video 👍🥊🥊🥊👍

Yes peekaboo has to be done differently for MMA because of the kicks and knees but you can use the head movement to get more elusive
U are helping future champions

Can i ask whats twist benefits
The twist is used to get to the side of your opponent to change the angle and create space to punch
