  • Melody Johnson won’t be going to prison, even after being convicted of attempted murder. She tried to poison her husband, airman Roby Johnson, by putting chlorine into his coffee for weeks. Johnson suspected something was wrong, planted cameras in their kitchen and had the water tested. During court proceedings he asked for leniency, including a requirement that she undergo a mental health evaluation. Breaking it down on "Dan Abrams Live": Jesse Weber of the Law & Crime Network, legal analyst Julie Rendelman and criminal defense attorney Donte Mills.

    This is a prime example of sexism. There are terrible double standards in our corrupted justice system.

      I agree that is attempted murder and is she harming the children as well. The kids should be removed from her presence

      Did she try to poison the child or ever break the law in regard to carrying for the children? I thought she poisoned the husband, these panel said nothing about mistreating children.

      So you think a person that tries to poison a person should be looking after children?

      I don’t know, I think people can compartmentalize better than you think.

      I agree I guess there are different laws for females in criminal cases. I had a woman try to poison my drink but it smelled funny so I did not drink it. It was at a Dunkin donuts and the person serving it did it. I never went back to that location

    The victim was not thinking clearly due to cognitive dissonance. It’s a phenomenon how narcissistic people can manipulate their victim to empathize for them instead of safety of their own life. She’s dangerous! 😢

    Ultimately, the verdict was: "Hey, if this lady wants to poison her husband, who are we to stand in her way? This is a free country!"

  • @TheSouthIsHot
    @TheSouthIsHot 24 дня назад +11

    The victim shouldn't have influence on the punishment. Attempted murder/murder is a crime against society.

    Why is that woman on the panel in green annoyingly playing devil's advocate so much? It was so distasteful to watch. The evidence is clear as crystal and a lot of other attempted murderers faced harsh penalties so why should this one be different?

    Yes, you get it… A perp can nearly every time get off lightly when they claim mental issues, and have some proof of treatment or claims of mental illness. It’s as though someone could precede a crime with a few sessions or diagnosis; then commit the crime and get off easy.

It’s my preference, I was kidding about killing someone over it. Some times I put out absurd comments, hopefully to make someone laugh. Have a nice day, I really would like to know how you came up with 12 as an age I must be, I think it’s a female pet peeve, I don’t say anything I just move away from it.
