  • In this lecture, Professor Nick Groom (University of Exeter) explores the presentation of art in Oscar Wilde's Picture of Dorian Gray, focusing in particular on: (i) the cultural movement of Aestheticism; (ii) the idea of being 'poisoned' by a book; (iii) the presentation of the Shakespearean actress Sibyl Vane; and (iv) and the picture of Dorian Gray itself.
