I'm not religious at all and don't care if this kid is. All that matters is this kid is a rare musician that has quality and passion with his work which I respect much more. Its sad that this type of music is hidden from the general public/society. I'm glad that his work is being used in movies and television where people have a slight chance to hear him.

agreed. I am Christian and a lot of people, it seems, are turned off of Christianity because they observe some hypocrisy. Heartfelt is hard to beat and this guy takes it to a level that I just have to say is pretty darn solid.
@pascovici Right. And I believe the reason why Alexi never released this song is because people thought it would be a religious song, and it isn't. I don't think he means "God" as in a Christian God. I think he just means God as a higher power. Whatever that means to whoever is listening.

Beautiful Lyrics , nice song . tried playing this at 1.25 speed after a friend suggested to. They thought it sounds very much like Savage Garden - I Want You. After listening to Savage Garden - I want you .... @normal speed a couple of times and then listening to Something Beautiful @ 1.25 again I noticed similarities. But that being said there are a lot of differences as well and I quite like Alexi's Something Beautiful.. The above is not a criticism just an observation .

I saw him in concert back in the summer of 2006 and he closed the show with this song. We all sang it together as a round. It was just Alexi and his guitar. It was so beautiful as a round. I had been searching for this song for a while. It is such an uplifting song and a great way to end a concert---it is like a benediction.

I'm a practicing Buddhist and I totally get this song and what it points to...just remember that the finger pointing at the moon is not the moon, and don't get stuck with words! Get stuck on words, and you miss the great truth of this song, and more importantly, the beauty of it. In songs like this, we meet in the deep heart of humanity, and there is no Christian, Buddhist, Jew, Muslim, or whatever. There is just unconditional and non-contingent love.
