    Imagine what this guy would of been capable of with a good O line. That being said pretty amazing to be the best bears quarterback in over 100 years of history

    • @upchurch231
      @upchurch231 2 года назад +4

      We do know what Cutler would have been with a Good o-line. Well a pretty good idea anyway. Look at his first couple years while in Denver and he was lighting it up. If he even had half the O-line in Chicago he did in Denver we are talking a super bowl or two for the bears and a multiple time all-pro. I mean the guy Lit it up in year 1 2 and 3. Got traded to the Bears and other than his first year in Chicago he played really good football. By far the best QB the Bears ever had.

    • @ilc3855
      @ilc3855 5 лет назад

      Knox Hester Olsen Bennett days were great. Cutler was best suited for a makeshift offense paired with that elite Tampa 2 defense and special teams unit. Injuries to Urlacher and Cutler doomed all 4 years together. Urlacher missed the final 15 in 2009. The following year Cutler left injured in the NFC championship. The year after that Jay missed the last 6 games, and in 2012 Jay got a concussion (costing the bears 2 games), urlacher was playing on a bad knee and missed the last 5 games as well.

    • @ilc3855
      @ilc3855 5 лет назад +1

      The Bears were never the best at drafting in that era but this team had an incredible amount of bad luck when it finally paired a QB who could sling it with a championship defense.

    • @andyk4621
      @andyk4621 5 лет назад

      They were awful though. I liked Earl and Knox was okay but Hester was an awful wide receiver. Cutty must've had the worst WR core in the league with them.

    • @andyk4621
      @andyk4621 5 лет назад +4

      Look how much they scored when Brandon and Alshon was on the team. It was a shame that our coach was trestman and our defense was worst in the league.

  • @s6xafterse7en
    @s6xafterse7en 7 лет назад +135

    I don't feel like Cutler ever had a real shot in Chicago... always playing first year offenses, or playing behind a shitty O-line. Yeah, he made stupid decisions, but more times than not he played well.
    You know what great QB's all have in common? Consistency in offensive scheme, and competent offensive lines.

      Nop
      I was on the first Jay Cutler nfl game in San Diego
      I follow hi career all time
      Have all tools but his QB IQ was not for nfl
      He take soo much time to find a open receiver and a lot of times y pre choice the receiver on the snap count
      He over pressure himself and try to connect with his more confidente man
      Defense coordinators know it and take his turnovers
      The only man who control and minimized his mistakes was Mike Martz

    • @HAHA-wn1wc
      @HAHA-wn1wc 5 лет назад +1

      His IQ shouldn’t be questioned. You’re like half right in your thinking. We had the worst O-line for years with Cutler. He had a chance a couple years tho. His attitude and his personality is what held him back those years. He was never a good leader and he never seemed like he really cared all that much. He just wanted to get paid. And after he got the big contract, you could really tell he didn’t give a shit about winning and getting a ring.

    • @angelbustos9023
      @angelbustos9023 4 года назад +4

      Nagy is horrible. He has done nothing to prove he’s a offensive guru/qb whisperer. Take away the Bears top elite defense and Nagy can’t coach this offense to a reasonable record when last year he barely held on to an 8-8 record Bc he left his defense exposed for managing to avg to hold the ball for 22 min a game leaving that defense out there for 38 minutes. He doesn’t help Mitch or that top defense out by bailing out the run game to insist on proving that he sling the ball over the field to just stop the clock and 3 n out punts. I hope the Bears fail miserably this season so Pace and Nagy step down. This team deserves a better coach and management. Trading up to draft Mitch and drafting Adam Shaheen is unacceptable. The city of Chicago deserves better. I’d agree Cutler is a better option than Mitch. I’d take him back in a heartbeat but only with a coach who is capable to adjusting his playbook to the personnel he has it his disposal. Jim Harbaugh should be aggressively pursued January 2021. Foles is a solid back up and theres no reason why Cam Newton shouldn’t be signed up to join this open QB competition. Any QB will get wrecked Bc this coach passes the ball way too much. Nothing against Mitch but he was a 4th round QB drafted with the 2nd overall pick. He is also a victim for Pace being inadequate in holding the GM position.

      Brandon marshall, Alshon jeffery, Martellus bennett, Matt forte... Marshall has like 60% catch percentage which is right up there with anyone... Bennett is just better than thomas... Alshon and parker are effectively the same speed they ran .03 different in the 40.. alshon has better hands tho... and forte ran for over 1000 yards that year and had over 800 receiving yards.... the teams are comparable but damn... idk if i'd say wayyyy over... but the dolphins line is way better im sure he got sacked almost 40 times in 2014... so...

    I always was a bears fan and I liked Cutler, and frankly if I ever crossed paths with Steven A I'd smack him in the mouth for talking that shit about Cutler because I liked him.

    If Cutler had had leadership skills and a better work ethic, he'd have gone on to have a HOF career.

    Watching this makes me upset. Jay had an elite arm yet we couldn’t get to the promiseland. We actually got to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman

    Denver a lot of boots. Chicago didn’t run that offense. Run the offense that fits your QB dummies.
