  • I needed a container that was the right size and shape for cleaning my table saw blades. So I think I can up with a good idea that solved my problem, using a 5 gal bucket. Check out how I modified the bucket into a nice cleaning container. It's easy to do and very cheap...enjoy.

The lid works nicely and is already concave.

Fisher's Shop Thanks Drew. It’s actually really come in handy for a good soak for the blades.

Nice idea Mike. However, a 12" cake pan, wham-O frisbee or 12" pizza pan is perfect and all you have to do is spend $8 to $12 dollars depending on your area. You can also use a 12" disposable aluminum food container. All have flat bottoms, space to get in and lift up the blade, and all available on amazon I am sure. ;O) Chris

It's the perfect size for a 10" saw blade. Thanks Jimmie

    Hey,
I take oven cleaner spray. Spray on and wait 20 minutes. Works perfect and cheap.

Jaques Fressier You are right. You could spray it on and let it set in the tray. I try to stay away from those nasty chemicals. Thank for watching

Nice idea! I have found that Krud cutter works very well for removing pitch and tar from the blade. It can be found at Lowe’s in the paint department. I spray it on wait 3 minutes then hit the teeth with a brass brush. Quick and easy not to mention clean!
I also use Krud cutter when sharping chisels. 😁🛫

2:05 "This is a 10 inch blade; 12 inch won't fit." What's the point then? Lol. Oh well. Good hack if you only have 10s.

The point is get rip of anything that uses a 12in blade, so you can use the bucket...😂🤓
