@@LoveSundays ha no not at all! Lol ☺ We were on holiday in the Falmouth area in the summer so I do still get a lot of ads etc encouraging me to visit again.... I started watching it thinking it was one of them.... ha (I had just woken up!) Lol
My daughter lives in Falmouth and it has certainly received mixed reviews locally. The worst thing about it is the awful 'crazy paving' wall surrounding the building - what a mess.
@@LoveSundays idea for future video....we went paddle boarding at high tide today on the Helford. Launched at the Ferry Inn and went to Port Navas. Great weather and was really calm around Port Navas, we could have meandered around there all day. Wish I’d had my drone with me as it would have been perfect launching from the board and getting some shots. Arrived back at Ferry Inn for a nice cold pint 😀
@@onlymechris that sound like you had a fantastic day. I’ve been meaning to head down there for a paddle. The ferry boat is one of my favourite pubs too. When we’re were in lockdown they were doing takeaway burgers and bottles of beer that you could eat/drink down on the beach it was amazing. Thanks for the suggestion I’ll definitely add it to my list of video idea 👍
@@LoveSundays We’d been looking online about paddle boarding along the Helford but there isn’t much about at all - so we went at it pretty blind. There’s some pretty interesting creeks to snorkel along towards Port Navas - doubt there’s much to see but it’s pretty eerie nonetheless! Great pint and view at the Ferry 😀

Nice looking building a definite plus for Falmouth i wouldn't pay that sort of money but compared to st Ives it's not expensive. Nicely presented Shaun the Alan Whicker of Cornwall.

I feel sorry for all the people who are stuck behind it, they could at least have kept the profile of the building a little lower. looks like it' been accidentally dropped there. what about all the locals who grew up there and no longer can afford to live there because of things like this?
Yes it is a large building. Being a local myself there are quite a few mixed feeling regarding the building. Any revenue to our little town is greatly appreciated though but most of the rental proceeds will go to the private owners.
Looks lovely but £4200 for a week no thanks. I can take (when Covid goes away) myself and my wife abroad to somewhere hot, in a five star hotel , all inclusive for two weeks for less than that. It does look great but I can’t see it being a big seller at that sort of price…sorry.
When the peasants aka locals start moving away as all new builds out of price range and renting , who will be there for all the jobs that make a holiday, so works both ways, also do your research of how much of Cornwalls tourism income actually stays in the county 🤔
