    Come with me to St. Lucia 🇱🇨 where I explore the beautiful island and all its wonders. In this video, I take you on a journey of a lifetime as I discover the amazing excursions that Saint Lucia has to offer.
    We visit the Pitons outlook point, one of the most iconic landmarks in Saint Lucia. Head to the Sulphur Springs, the only drive-in volcano in the world. We dip in the warm and therapeutic waters of the Sulphur Springs mud baths and learn about the volcanic history of Saint Lucia.
    We explore the luxurious WindJammer Resort, where we get to experience the beauty and elegance of the island's hospitality. The resort boasts a serene and secluded setting, perfect for relaxation and indulgence.
    Finally, we take a break from our adventures and try our hands at day trading and I show you how I navigate the market while taking in the island's beauty.
    At the end of the video I talk about mistakes I made as a solo travel and things that left a not so pleasant taste. Please remember that what happened to me is my experience alone and I do not believe that anyone should not experience St.Lucia because of those things. Just take them with a grain of salt.
    That being said, join me on this solo travel vlog to Saint Lucia, and let's explore the wonders of this Caribbean paradise together.

    Hello, I hope you're doing well. I recently came across your blog post about your trip to SAINT LUCIA and I wanted to take a moment to address some of the concerns that were raised in the post.
    While I understand that you may have had a negative experience during your trip, it's important to remember that the livelihoods and cultures of the local community are deeply intertwined with the island's environment and history. It's important to approach travel with a sense of cultural sensitivity and respect and to take the time to educate oneself about the community and its customs before visiting.
    Some of the statements made in your post may be inaccurate or misrepresentative of the situation on the island, and I would encourage you to consider the impact of your words on the local community. It's important to approach the situation with an open mind and a willingness to engage in constructive dialogue, while also being respectful and mindful of cultural differences.
    Moving forward, I wish you the best of luck in your blogs.

      Hi A Mitchel,
      Thank you so much for watching the video and addressing your concerns. I think your comment is important and It should not be taken lightly. Please know that I did put the disclaimer "Please remember that what happened to me is my experience alone and I do not believe that anyone should not experience St.Lucia because of those things. Just take them with a grain of salt." in the description and also, I was vlogging from the experience that I had. If my experience were different, the vlog would have been different. I do agree that it is important for anyone traveling to a new place to do a thorough due diligence of the place they are going, which I did not. I hope that you or anyone else does not find offense in my experience. I will work towards communicating things in a constructive way while being respectful of cultural differences. Thank you again for watching.

    If we’re being honest, theirs extreme poverty everywhere. I live in Las Vegas and when you visit Vegas, you’re not gonna see the underground flood tunnels were the homeless stay with tents setup all over. So I don’t think what you saw in St Lucia is any different than what’s here in the US

      @chelseaulendo  Год назад +2

      Hi Mikala!
      First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have an incredible time in Saint Lucia. As far as staying safe on the island, from my experience, St. Lucian men have no problem pursuing you but they will be respectful. Just use discernment. Also, I personally wouldn't mention the fact that you are solo travelling. Mention that your father/brother/husband/ friends etc are with you or just avoid the topic all together. That being said the locals are very sweet, kind and helpful. You should be fine as long as you take the basic precautionary measures of traveling solo.

    Thank you for the upload. It was very useful and you have a lovely personality. I subbed your channel :-) I have been to St Lucia 6 times, but always with family. Now my family are gone and I am returning alone after 10 long years of being away from the island. I feel nervous about it. Having travelled solo before, I have received stares and comments from people when they realise that you are solo. Some people are nice and engage with you, while others stare and just stay away. I have done all the sightseeing trips so will just probably lap up the sun, beach, fitness facilities and lovely food. I will be sure to keep my lone status low key but it is hard to do when people see you alone all the time, esp in the evening when it becomes very apparent. They soon click on that you are really alone. I am considering The Body Holiday resort as they cater for lone travellers a little better than other resorts. You are right about the poverty on the island. It is shocking. I saw it properly up near the rum distillery...children living in shacks with no shoes on their feet and dirty tiny streets. It is something that we have to accept, but I feel sorry for those people. There should be better standards of living considering St Lucia does so well out of tourism. Thanks again

      Hi DD, thanks so much for your comment and watching the vlog! It is a bit scary a first solo traveling but I think you have a great plan. I tend to be overly precautious but I do think staying at a resort is a better option for visiting the island as a solo traveler. I agree that there should be far better living conditions for the locals in Saint Lucia. I hope you have an amazing time during your trip 💜💜

    Hi I just came across your channel and was happy to see my beautiful island as headline. However what you " believe" to see as "EXTREME POVERTY" to you is not the case. I do take offense. This is a island not a Cosmopolitan country. There's a difference in Culture and don't think for once that the houses or what you saw make you think it's poverty. Oh by the way I'm a ST. Lucian living here in the USA and also person who live in many different European country's who have experienced many different other cultures. Thanks and have a great day.

      Hi Fenela, Thanks so much for your comment! It's important that everyone feels that they can voice their opinions, I'm glad you voiced yours.
      Please see the disclaimer in my description as I talked about how this was my personal experience, and as we know, personal experiences are subjective to the person experiencing the experience.
      Take care, and thanks again for checking out the video 📹

    • @masterprophet8378
      @masterprophet8378 Год назад

      Fenela, you're exhibiting the hyper-sensitivity to constructive criticism indicative of most people in the Caribbean.
      Grow up!
      St. Lucia is indeed fraught with EXTREME POVERTY. And you know this to be a fact. So why take offense when Chelsea is NOT, in any way, attempting to be derogatory?
      The fact that you live here in the USA and no longer in St. Lucia is because you did it to escape the EXTREME POVERTY there. So why try to front on some false pretense to "difference in culture,"" as you so eloquently attempted to evade the economic facts? smh
      Live, and let live!
      If most St. Lucians would stop putting an over-emphasis on music and partying, and get focused, they could do away with their poverty in less than a decade.
      But they'd rather sit back, all lackadaisical, and allow Europeans to come down their and open resorts, and make money, hand over fist.
      It's deplorable that St. Lucians allow this. But they do it in almost all Caribbean islands.
      Tragic to boot!
      Now be offended and spew out your vitriolic response. This is going to be rich.

      Hi Jackie,
      I felt totally safe. The people of Saint Lucia were so kind and welcoming and made sure I had the best experience. As for transportation I tried renting a car (see end of video) but that didn't work. Fortunately the locals were kind enough to drive me wherever I wanted to go. The local transportation is a little tricky because there is a bus but you kind or have to just know where the pick up/drop off locations are as they aren't officially posted anywhere (to my knowledge). The resort itself was BEAUTIFUL!! (Bring tons of bug spray though lol you'll need it) I hope you have an amazing time when you do go and feel free to ask anymore questions 😊

    I think it is very bizarre to visit a country , an Island to be precise and comment on poverty. Were your travels for pleasure or business? It is a general knowledge that the Island countries will not be as wealthy as America or Europe. It's an island!!. Again , I dont get what point you were trying to make about extrene poverty. I have been to places whice appear under developed but I wouldn't make a blog about said place being in extreme poverty. Most people visit the Island for attractions and pleasure not to discuss poverty unless they are in a position to make a difference in said country. Choose your words wisely. I wonder if you have been to any other carribbean Islands? Were you expecting St.Lucia to look like America or Europe.

      No because of racism . Other well off countries simply do not want to trade with predominantly black countries and that’s how a country thrives through the goods they can supply. For instance the us is banning corn from Mexico and now all of a sudden corn is bad for us
