Alpha Motors a family-owned award-winning business for over 40 years in Wigan are proud to present this fantastic fully restored Ford Cortina 1600 Super 4dr Saloon.
The second incarnation of the Cortina was designed by Roy Haynes and was launched on 18th October 1966.
This car is finished in one of the nicest and rare combinations of Blue Mink and sitting on Rostle wheels.
Inside boasts a black interior.

The Cortina was discovered over a decade ago by a family-owned service and repair garage in a barn in their local village. Upon inspection, they were pleasantly surprised that the car was in very good order, and wanting to make a show-worthy car they set about dismantling the vehicle and categorizing all the components.
Not having bodywork experience themselves they entrusted a friend in the trade to complete a full respray on the stripped bodyshell.
On the return of the painted bodyshell, they began the rebuild. Unfortunately, over the proceeding years, the time spent on the car was reduced and came to a halt. Due to the increased workload in the business and need the for space in the workshop the hard decision to sell the vehicle was made.
Purchased by our father the founder of Alpha Motors in September 2020. The now-retired lifelong car enthusiast and experience motor engineer began the task of returning the car to its former glory. Due to the categorization of all the original components many years earlier very little was needed to complete the re-build.
Fully restored using many new and original parts!
Engine-Gearbox: unleaded cylinder head with new valve guides and valves, new Webber carburettor, electric fuel pump. new radiator and T&B heater hoses, 4 branch manifold, new gearbox bearings, new gearbox seals.
Body: Professional respray, new screen rubbers, bumper overrides, kick plates, stone-chip underbody
Wheels-Brakes-Suspension: fully refurbished Rostyle wheels, New brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake calipers, discs pads, and tyres, front shock absorbers, complete suspension re-bush,
Exterior: New powder-coated fuel tank, fuel lines, stainless steel exhaust, battery.
Interior: New door rubbers, door trim panels, roof lining, boot carpet, new seat support pads, door edge trims.
With the restoration now complete this Cortina Super is ready to live again. She drives fantastic and performs very well indeed even by modern standards. With the show season ahead this car would turn heads wherever it goes.
