LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians, such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass, backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!
🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band).
    🐺Haruna - drums.
    🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals.
🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals.
    🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano.
All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. Many people, having seen them on stage, say that in white dresses they look like Greek Goddesses playing metal !
The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺.

To be fair, the band’s name, like their appearance, is deceptive. This band is head and shoulders above anyone else playing today, and when you get a few more songs by them under your belt, you’ll appreciate Asami’s voice a lot more. Personally I think she’s up there with Floor in terms of range, except that she doesn’t attempt anything operatic. Not only is she a fantastic singer she’s a fantastic front woman. They have a 50 song catalogue, no album fillers and are indistinguishable live from studio. Best band in my 62 years on this planet (which means I’m ranking them higher than those many consider legendary. It’s a compliment based on every facet of the band, not just the music. They do what even the greats never even attempted).

You were expecting something like Babymetal but you've never actually listened to Babymetal? I think you might possibly have some preconceptions here. When you slip out of your comfort zone I think you'll find that Japanese women are currently leading the world in hard rock and heavy metal. Babymetal and Lovebites are the tip of a very big iceberg.

That is 100% fair, I based a lot of that expectation on the name and haven't actually given them a chance. I try to be open-minded about music, but it is clear that I still need to improve.

@@MacyandAdamReact If you want to explore Japanese rock, Japan has had an active all-girl metal scene since at least 1981. This is a starter list of all-female (or in eight cases, mixed gender) metal, punk, hard-rock and post-rock bands, with founding dates where I know them. It's alphabetical, except for the first three, which are at the top of the list for historical reasons. They set the table for the explosion of Japanese female hard-rock, punk and metal bands. Note: I have tried to pick clips that are reactor-friendly because they are high quality and are representative of the band's style.
You are likely to get suggestions mainly for Band-Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus and Wagakki Band. You can’t go wrong with any of those, but I hope you will find time to check out more of the bands on this list. They are all worth the time and deserve the love, and many will really surprise you. My personal favorites include Asterism, Bridear, Doll$Boxx, existTtrace, Hagane, Hanabie, Mary’s Blood, Sokoninaru and Tricot. Ok, the list:
Show-Ya (1981 The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring) They belong in any rock or music hall of fame: “I am the Storm” ruclips.net/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/видео.html
Shonen Knife (1981 The world’s first bubblegum punk band. They have done several world tours. They also perform as a Ramones tribute band called Osaka Ramones): ruclips.net/video/w9LUlYzOiWs/видео.html
Destrose (2005; This band was never stable, but has become almost mythic in Japanese metal history, because so many great bands spun out of Destrose, including Lovebites--you will recognize the drummer and bassist): ruclips.net/video/G1VwEGHPIhs/видео.html
Aldious (2008 Glamorous and kick-ass rockers-one of the first generation all-girl metal bands, along with Destrose) ruclips.net/video/sfkJT0rra-8/видео.html
Asterism (2013 Not all female, but will melt your face off- the guitarist Haruka Noma is off the charts talented and still a teen-ager) ruclips.net/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/видео.html
Babymetal (2010 The flagship “Kawaii metal” band and the most well-known Japanese metal act outside of Japan. Combining “Kawaii” (cute) Japanese pop tropes over thunderous heavy metal backing) ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html
Band-Maid (2013 OK, there are 100+ great songs by them. Here is a live clip): ruclips.net/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/видео.html
Bridear (2011 Heavy, technical-and their tiny bassist also growls): ruclips.net/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/видео.html
Cyntia (2011 Second wave, hard, heavy, but with prog and symphonic touches)
      ruclips.net/video/FnhObh5i_3U/видео.html
D-Drive (2009 Instrumental progressive metal and fusion; Mixed gender. Extraordinary, technical dual lead guitars featuring Yuki and Seiji) Here is a lockdown version of their 2009 hit “Cassis Orange”: ruclips.net/video/Mi0ykRvZ1LA/видео.html
Disqualia (2015 Destrose spin-out, featuring Narumi, one of the best guitarists of this generation, and Hazuki, then an up-and-coming talent who is now a member of Nemophila) ruclips.net/video/-M5zBKrTJRg/видео.html
Doll$Boxx (2012 Insane mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki and Gacharic Spin) ruclips.net/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/видео.html
existTtrace (2003: Visual Kei, progressive, technical, some death-metal and goth touches) ruclips.net/video/Oz1Lv8XGBF0/видео.html
Fate Gear (2015 Super-group, one of the Destrose spinouts-continually changing lineup built around Mina (g) and (until very recently) Erica (b); this single video is one of the best in this list): ruclips.net/video/tLQbsoKQN-0/видео.html
Gacharic Spin (2009 Founded by two high school classmates, Hana (Dr, Vo, multiple instruments) and Koga (B) who had already been in other bands (and was previously a lingerie model). Everything from punk-pop to heavy metal and progressive; highly technical) Here is their first video, with original singer Armmy (d. 2015): ruclips.net/video/vfzIt20_xXg/видео.html
Gallhammer (2003 Black/Death/Doom/Punk; this is from their 2007 UK/Europe tour; co-founder Vivien Slaughter is now making electronic ambient music!): ruclips.net/video/2fTiyOO1nZE/видео.html
Galmet (2006 Straight-up death metal, but in prom dresses) ruclips.net/video/PnvrOLeRt-I/видео.html
Ganglion (2010 Metal with a hint of electronica)
      ruclips.net/video/q9j4t3Ms-Sg/видео.html
Hagane (2018 Started with Sakura posting blistering metal guitar covers on youtube while in high-school, and the rest of the girls finding her; full lineup came together in 2019)
      ruclips.net/video/k8NTRJ_yTxY/видео.html
Hanabie (2019 Kawaii death metal, deathcore, thrash. Technical. Most frequent comment is “That’s nuts.” One of the bands to watch in 2021) ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html
      Kakumei (2013--see Trident, below)
Lisa-X Band (Prodigy 16-year-old guitarist Lisa-X and a rotating cast of fellow bandmembers, often including Hazuki (of Disqualia and Nemophila). ruclips.net/video/mN_oLqTka6M/видео.html
Lovebites (2016 Modern Power, Speed, Thrash and Heavy Metal. Already making a global splash. Here is their most famous official MV-it’s even better than Shadowmaker IMO) ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
Mardelas (2014 Another spin-off from Destrose; mixed male/female; leader Marina Hebiishi has one of the best voices in the biz) ruclips.net/video/Wd8P7wTnWJs/видео.html
Mary's Blood (2008 The first major Destrose Spin-out) Jedi-level lineup. Here, Saki murders her guitar without breaking any nails: ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html
Maximum the Hormone (1998 Crazy, chaotic mashups of deathcore, nu-metal, pop and high-speed rapping. Co-founder Nao (drums) is the female member of the band. She has been a major influence on female drummers throughout Japan.) This clip captures just a bit of the madness: 予襲復讐 (Yoshu Fukushu) ruclips.net/video/beN5ep5MrdY/видео.html
MergingMoon (2010 Mix of prog and melodic death metal. Vocalist U is Japan’s terrifying answer to Tatiana of Jinjer) ruclips.net/video/sIL-vgHNOu0/видео.html
Mutant Monster (2008 Punk-pop, really good at it)
      ruclips.net/video/Fd6ymMR40NU/видео.html
Narumi (solo prog-rock and fusion compositions-a change of pace from a master guitarist) ruclips.net/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/видео.html
Nemophila: (2019 Supergroup of Mary's Blood guitarist Saki, ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam.) ruclips.net/video/lh-dVLKP314/видео.html
54 Nude Honeys (1992 Early Japanese punk-they toured the UK and Europe, and reports are that their crowds were as crazy as the crowds at Sex Pistols concerts) ruclips.net/video/jHnJSoGN5Mk/видео.html
Otoboke Beaver (2009 thrash punk, way out there): ruclips.net/video/fkWfFXnLpYg/видео.html
Rie aka Suzaku (instrumental guitar) ruclips.net/video/m6Z2GD5SqNs/видео.html
Sokoninaru (2011 Progressive metal, math rock, extremely technical; male/female cofounders)
      ruclips.net/video/MVxl0zXZBR4/видео.html
Sonic Lover Reckless (2018 Special project of Miyako Watanabe, one of Lovebites’ two incomparable guitarists) ruclips.net/video/DXZ-qhxd1VI/видео.html
Telecide (2016 Metalcore, aggressive and melodic at the same time) ruclips.net/video/keq-7ZCluFc/видео.html
Tricot (2010 Post-progressive math-rock, highly technical with crazy time signatures and polyrhythms) ruclips.net/video/P_B_GalsJrE/видео.html
Trident (formerly Kakumei, renamed in 2020 with some personnel changes. Evolved from pop-punk to thrashier hard rock; several lineup changes but the bassist and lead singer have been constants) ruclips.net/video/9k9txMouU34/видео.html
Unlucky Morpheus (2008 Female leads Fuki (vo) and Jill (violin). This band is a deep well unto itself, they cross many subgenres of metal; Fuki and Jill also do other projects and Fuki is lead for at least two other bands including Doll$Boxx, above) ruclips.net/video/V8i_QhOgsKw/видео.html
Wagakki Band (2012 Folk-Metal fusion band, all jedi-level musicians, half of them play traditional Japanese instruments and the other half play standard metal instruments) This song was originally written for a virtual (AI) singer, referred to as a Vocaloid
      ruclips.net/video/Q2meWkWqc-I/видео.html
Yōsei Teikoku (1997 Rock-Folk-Metal-Electronica fusion ensemble) Set up in a fictional Fairy Empire, led by founder Yui, they have done a lot of anime themes and sound-tracks and also perform original songs live, in character.
      ruclips.net/video/_EeYxtAeaX4/видео.html
There are many more (others that come to mind are BRATS, Drop’s, Stereopony, Scandal, Princess Princess, which all tend more in the pop direction, and the Bang-Dream projects, which are live groups based on Manga series. And of course, there are other female-fronted Kawaii-metal groups like Ladybaby and Ironbunny, to name the two best-known after Babymetal. If you find others you think belong on this list, please let me know. And if you find a dead link, also please let me know so I can fix the list. Thank you!

    LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
    Oh brave soldier
    Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
    Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
    Floating lotus
    You are so graceful
    Saintly and glorious
    Till the end of time
    Floating lotus
    You are so beautiful
    Sing me your sweet song
    The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
    Oh brave soldier
    Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
    Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
    Floating lotus
    You are so graceful
    Saintly and glorious
    Till the end of time
    Floating lotus
    You are so beautiful
    Sing me your sweet song
    The legend of the swan
    Floating lotus
    You are so graceful
    Saintly and glorious
    Till the end of time
    Floating lotus
    You are so beautiful
    Sing me your sweet song
    The legend of the swan

Asami is superior because such singers as Nightwish, Evanescence and Within Temptation have all the same problem, they are failed opera singers and their voices don't match at all with metal, I've always hated that sound from their mouth. Asami sings straight, like any regular singer, with a powerful voice.

With her eyes closed!!! Miyako plays piano with her eyes closed. She's a classical trained pianist since the of three. Miyako taught herself to play the guitar, no lessons. She also writes most of their music. Miyako also plays a pretty mean bass and a little drums. Watch "Burden of Time" live studio version. Miyako plays the keyboard and guitar at the same time. In this video she opens with Chopin. Watch "Empty Daydream" live 2019, where she opens with Rachmaninov and switches over to the guitar.

The common point between the group you mentioned and LOVEBITES.
Like NIGHTWISH, the sound sources of LOVEBITES are mixed and mastered by Mikko Karmila and Mika Jussila from Finland respectively.
At the offer of Herman Li, they are accompanying the "Dragon Force UK Tour 2019" as a support act and are deepening their friendship.
And the common point with BABYMETAL is that they are the same Japanese women.
BABYMETAL is a band created from the project of a TV program called "Fusion of Idol and Heavy Metal", and is a very different existence even in Japan.

Singers Floor Jansen and Tarja Turunen have a different style of singing (symphonic metal) Asami - it's mostly thrash, power, speed metal. Different genres. I join your advice to make a reaction to the song “Edge of the World”

You just witnessed one of the best guitar players slay the guitar and also murder the piano which is ridiculous. It can't be understated enough how amazing this band is if you know you're music. There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan, over half all female!!!
Miyako (piano, guitar) composed and arranged the music, lyrics were written by Asami (vocals). Miyako began piano at 3yo, picking up the guitar at 17/18. Self-taught, no lessons!!
Talent is recognized early in Japan and there is the infrastructure of schools, talent agencies, etc. for vocals, dance, musical instrument education. Many beginning as young as 6 yo in vocals and dance. Example - Babymetal.
Note Babymetal is the most popular and famous Japanese band in the world.
Next Lovebites - "Set the World on Fire" tour de force for Asami.
Other Bands - Nemophila - "Monsters" & "Dissension"; performed at the Whiskey a Go Go on 1 July and will be performing at the AfterShock Music festival, Sacramento in October.
Band Maid - "Freedom" and "Domination" both live. Considered by many to be the best Rock in the world!! They will also be performing at AfterShock in October, then going on their US Tour, 13 cities with most sold-out. Note Band Maid has been touring the US since 2016.
    All are All Female bands!!!

Thank you Andy Helms for your persistence. And Macy and Adam, you have just discovered the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
As you are witnessing, Miyako is also a professional-level concert pianist. She was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude", which she also used in the intro.
Lovebites studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ruclips.net/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/видео.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ruclips.net/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/видео.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ruclips.net/video/lXh_uMM94jU/видео.html;
    “Holy War”: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.html
For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ruclips.net/video/G021aP2ao6Y/видео.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ruclips.net/video/Brmoln5Gxus/видео.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
    "When Destinies Align" ruclips.net/video/hLFelI93VkM/видео.html
    "Glory to the World" ruclips.net/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/видео.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" ruclips.net/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/видео.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

I would encourage you to listen to more Lovebites because you’ll discover how fast they grow on you. Since you focused on the lead singer, Asami, I think you might really enjoy seeing a fuller side of her broad talent. Following is a link to their performance of Empty Daydream where Asami gives a very short, sweet, and heartfelt introduction to their song. This lets you hear her natural voice prior to the coming song. I would really be interested in your analysis after you view this masterpiece ruclips.net/video/NTawLj-bEOM/видео.html

Thank you for your reaction! 👏I liked the reaction, just a small clarification😊 In the name of the reaction (under the video) you indicated only "Swan Song". "Etude" by F. Chopin is a separate piece of music. "Etude" & "Swan Song" would be more correct. This is not criticism, this is advice🤗.
    1. "Etude Op.10, No.12" by the great Polish composer Frederic Chopin, which was written in 1831 and is dedicated to the Polish patriots who raised an uprising (1830-1831) against the Russian Empire, whose troops occupied Poland;
    2. "Swan song" ( lyrics - Asami , music -Miyako) from the third album LOVEBITES "Electric Pentagram" (2020).
"Etude" by F. Chopin and "Swan Song" are dedicated to the soldiers who died in battle. Therefore, at the concert, "Etude" and "Swan Song" are played together.
For many centuries (starting from Ancient Greece) there is a legend, according to which swans, non-singing, "silent" birds, acquire a voice a few moments before death, and this dying singing of swans is amazingly beautiful.
During the final part (piano Miyako), symbolizing the death of the swan, Asami (a former ballerina, studied classical ballet for about 16 years before becoming a singer) depicts a dying swan on stage as in P. Tchaikovsky's famous ballet "Swan Lake". Since the camera at the end of the song is focused on Miyako, Asami's "death of the swan" did not frame.

Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Asami was a R&B, jazz, soul singer before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert level pianist. I see no reason trying to compare Floor vs Asami; to me, Floor is perfect for Nightwish and Asami is perfect for Lovebites. If you want to appreciate Asami’s vocals, try “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “Edge of the world” or “Dancing with the devil” (all live)

    Napakabait mo
    Banal at maluwalhati
    Hanggang sa katapusan ng oras
    Lumulutang na lotus
    Napakaganda mo
    Banal at maluwalhati
    Hanggang sa katapusan ng oras
    Lumulutang na lotus

Lovebites surprises you because they are the only Japanese band with a Western sound and one of the few Japanese bands who sing in English. Comparing anyone to Floor is impossible because Floor is the best female singer of all time. You need to do more Lovebites because they will blow you away in each song. Now do Set the World on Fire next, the live version.

Sorry, disagree. Floor maybe the best Metal singer (but Asami comes really close) but there are much better singers in other genres. I am thinking about Beth Hart, Angelina Jordan and even Diana Ankudinova.

Floor is a good vocalist. But you don't even have to go far, Tarja is incomparably better. This does not mean Tarja of the Nightwish era, then she was a novice singer and was just learning vocals, but her solo career. Extensive discography (5 LPs and many EPs) and 6 live shows on blu-ray, 4 of them rock metal and 2 classical. And everyone is very good. By the way, Tarja's solo work is similar to Lovebites in terms of genre diversity and classical background, because she is a classically trained singer and composes and arranges her own music. As a vocalist, Floor is not even close to Tarja's level. This is very easy to see for yourself, just listen.

@@dymyavalor6135 I was at the concert of Tarja Turunen when she came to our city. At the end of the concert, I managed to squeeze closer to the stage, I saw Tarja at a distance of 5-6 meters. It seemed to me that she was also short (although she was wearing high heels). But her voice!!!! 💥All the same, she has a classical opera education, if I remember correctly. I like Nightwish with Tarja, I like Nightwish with Floor. I don't think they should be compared. Both are world class singers.
P.S. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't call Tarja an aspiring singer when she was in Nightwish. Perhaps the first 2-3 years?! Although, Tarja came to Nightwish already having experience: as a child, she sang in the church choir, graduated from the music department of the gymnasium, and studied at the Music Academy. "Tarja's Era" lasted 9 years, she left Nightwish in 2005 with a lot of experience.

She announced that she was leaving back in 2002, but she was persuaded to stay. During her solo career, Tarja developed her own unique rock metal vocal technique, something in the style of Peter Gabriel (her idol) only with the strength and power of academic vocals. And in good quality, it sounds just great. There is no such thing in the world anymore. Musically, it's hard rock, heavy metal, progressive, ballads - all with a classic background. Not only outstanding vocals, but also very varied and interesting music performed with good professional musicians. I'm not interested in Nightwish at all, very weak musicians (except for vocals and a new drummer) and simple uninteresting music, something like symphonic pop metal.

Babymetal / Headbanger, Band-Maid / Freedom (live), Aldious / We are, Doll$Boxx / Take my chance, Unlucky Morpheus / Black Pentagram, Passcode/ Taking You out, Hanabie /We love Sweets, Liv Moon / The last Savior, Yousei Tekoku / Astral Dogma, Galneryus / Angel of Salvation, Gyze/ Oriental Symphony, oh and there are som bands that started in the 80 that are still live and kicking, Show-Ya ( grandmothers of all all-female bands from Japan) / Eye to Eye, Ningen Isu / Heartless Scat and then we have the iconic "bubblegum pop punk without attitude" Shonen Knife / Like a cat.
