You are absolutely right about Mexican food here. The thing is Mexican and Latin American influence is very little here. Historically we have no link with that part of the world in terms of migration etc. But you see a lot of other cultures influence due to Malaysia’s location in South East Asia.
Yes great job of breaking that down! We totally get it. It’s been great for us to be so far removed from the west! Thank you for taking the time to check out our content and thank you for Sub! Blessings from my family to yours🙏🏿🇲🇾
There are Mexican restaurants here in Malaysia. Best option is probably La Chica Bangsar, but there is also Chica Bonita with several locations in KL. And there is the chain called Chili's Grill & Bar, but that's more Tex Mex oriented.
I think I saw you and your family few days ago on a Tuesday in Pavilion having lunch? Cos I remember staring at 2 adorable kids whilst buying ice cream 😂
😅yes that was us! We went over had some of that expensive ice cream too😅🙌🏿 it was good! Thanks for reaching out and checking out our content. Blessings from my family to yours🙏🏿
It's not true that you can't get Mexican food in KL or its environs. True, Mexican restaurants are not as widespread those serving other cuisines, but there are many if you care to look for them. Google is a great resource, needless to say. Here's a partial list: • La Chica Mexican Grill • Beszz Cafe • Las Carretas • Sombrero • Chica Bonita • Los Tacos • Elcantina • Comienzo • Hola! Burrito • Gringo's • Tacoslicious • Dippers Birria Tacos • Chillin & Grillin • Churritos Fresh Mex • Poblano • Chachi • Thyme Out
Ok thank you for the info! I guess we have been lost in a sea of so much other good food we have not seen any of these spots. I order grab frequently and it seems like there is never any Latin options. We can eat those anytime back in the states so we are happy for the food diversity. Thank you for taking the time to comment! Blessings from my family to yours!🙏🏿
In the states, asking for mall food is like going to a hospital for dinner 😂. It seems as if Malaysia embraces it's diversity, not like some places (the U.S. for example), and that makes life there so much better!
mexican food establishment is growing in malaysian big cities. If you look for it you can find it. So far i never see peruvian, colombian or south african food in malaysia.
@@TheWrightDestinationSorry to say this I lived in Houston 23 years,,,,MEXICAN food is no match to MALAYSIAN FOOD,,,,TOTALLY DIFFERENT TASTE,,,,BTW I HAVE A MALAYSIAN FUSION + TRADIONAL FOOD CHANNEL TOO IN ENGLISH UNDER ZEENAT DURRANI,,,,,PLEASE DO LOOK IT UP OKAY,,,P/S I AM MALAYSIAN
Being malaysian. We are exposed to foreigners. And most of us speak english as it is our second language. If ever you feel someone is talking behind your back..then i would say that they probably are not Malaysian.
Agreed! There are so many dialects being spoken at any given time while we are out and about, however most Malaysians we speak to do speak good English! Thank you for taking the time to check out our content! Blessings 🙏🏿
There is mexican restaurant but its not easy to find one. Maybe try Poblano Kl and Chica Bonita @ Publika . As someone who never tasted it, I can't verify the authencity. Also, all the good restaurants are spread out in KL. If you need the locations, give the green light.
@@FamilyontheGox4 Many... Here is some of them Nasi Lemak Wanjo, DIn Satay in the evenings, and Kak Som for Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang and Laksam at Kampung Baru. Soong Kee beef ball noodles (Lot 10 food court or Jalan Tun H S Lee near Petaling Street), Hameediyah (Semua House or Bukit Bintang) for Nasi Kandar, Mon Chinese Beef Roti at Pavilion food court. Restoran Chee Meng and Famous Chicken Rice@ Jln Nagasari Changkat BB for chicken rice. Asam Laksa Petaling Street, Kedai Kopi Lai Foong (for beef noodles, char kuey teow and lala (clam) noodles), Hong Kee Claypot Chicken Rice and Mee Tarik (handmade pulled noodles) Restoran for Petaling Street area.

There are Mexican restaurants here. But not many. Not taco, actual Mexican restaurants
We are totally fine with that. We would rather try cuisines we do not readily have back in the us! Blessings🙏🏿
