sadly, their deodorants don't work for me anymore. they worked for years, but they must have changed their formula :(

Hi
I just gave birth - chilling with new baby watching Kathleen lights and my nurse comes peeking in, “are you watching KathleenLights” 👀
this is so wholesome omd, congrats!!!
🤣
Congratulations!! Hope you and your baby are doing great!!
💜💜💜💜 this will be me lmao
Congratulations
Guys!!! Also!! Side note lol I meant 1965 when referring to Jackie Kennedy not 1995 🤦♀️ 🤦♀️ 🤦♀️ I’m an idiot sorry! Wouldn’t be a Kathleen video without messing something up lol
Fun fact : 19 year old Thomas Lyle William Dr. saw his sister using Vaseline with coal. And decided to explore and create mascara and became the youngest cosmetician, business executive and he name the company Maybelline after his sister Maybel.
Kathleen giving hints about a future eyeshadow palette is make me so excited I want it now! 😄
Me too but not if it’s another Colourpop collab lol :/
I don’t think it is bc it wouldn’t take this long if it was colorpop
I’m a cosmetics archivist for one of the companies you mentioned today, as a subscriber for many years this video is right up my alley 👏🏻
That sounds like such a cool job!
Omg i didn’t know this job existed. How cool
Coolest job ever!
Ummm…the history geek in me is screaming, “I want your job!”
@@onegirloneglassoneworld same love, same 😩 🤩 🙌
“It feels like I bought one from 1971” 😂😂oh Kathleen I just love your personality
Hahahahh Tysm!!!!!
@@KathleenLights omg thank you for liking and commenting back 😭🤩😊😊
Dying at the nipple commentary! This is why we love you, Kathleen. 🥰
when you said “it lasts for 3 days” and threw up a 2 reminded me of shrek when he’s like “pick number 3 my lord” and throws up a 2 😂 it gave the same energy ! also i’m wishing you so much love and light as we are finally in an air sun season ♊️🤍
my grandmother used to use that hairspray, did so for so many years, and she'd been born in 1912. i could literally smell it through the screen when you lifted it up LOL. i miss her so much. crazy how certain products can be linked so closely to personal, bittersweet memories.
That’s how I feel about the Coty AirSpun powder. It reminds me of my great aunt who was like a grandmother to me. I keep one just to smell and remember her by.
Hahaha I died laughing when you put the cheek tint on your nipples 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this was so interesting to watch it’s crazy how many cult beauty products are still used today! They really need to change the formula on the Coty airspun powder though because it contains talc!!
I was just thinking... yikes, that prob has talc.
I graduated from high school in 1980, and I used the Great Lash mascara and the Coty Airspun powder!💝
Another Revlon lipstick that I loveee to wear is Pink In The Afternoon, which was the exact lipstick color Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany’s!!
IM literally breastfeeding as you applied the benefit tint and I could not stop laughing at your description of it! My baby looked up at me and started laughing as if she knew what was so funny 😆
Would love more videos like this one!🥰 I love and find the history of makeup so interesting. I so look forward to hearing more about this palette launching in a couple of months!! We’ve been waiting for so long! ✨🤩
My grandma’s signature lipstick was Revlon Cherries in the Snow 💋 I’m so glad I can still purchase it as a reminder of her. Thanks for sharing this nostalgia with us!!
My mom has worn Cherries in the Snow as far back as I can remember and she’s 90!
My Grandma, Viola, wore it all of the time as well. Iconic!
It also is what Gwen Stefani wore as well when she had her classic 50s look. 💛
I can’t believe these products have been around for so long!! My mom even uses some of these products and I have too!!! Like ohh boy that Maybelline’s Great Lash mascara, reminds me of my high school days and the packaging-such a 90’s vibe!!!!😻
Could you do a video on your all time favorite makeup products for dry skin?
Yes would love to see this!
I just LOVED this video! History and makep makes me happy, and I've learned a lot from your video. Please make it a series of some sort 💜 this was so interesting!
Second this!
Aqua net hairspray came out in the 1950's! My grandma used it forever.
I LOVE THE SMELL OF THE COTY POWDER
I still have Black Honey and I used it when I was a kid. It’s a flattering color for so many people so it’s awesome that they never discontinued it. This was a fun video.
I love the history of makeup. Their use to be a channel dedicated to it and the facts about the iconic people and places is fascinating. Great vid, Kathleen!
The Benetint is literally my all time favourite product,I don’t really wear makeup at the moment but when I do decide to add a little bit of colour to my face this is my go to,since it pretty much resembles my own lip colour.
Terry de Gunzburg created Touche Eclat to mimic a mix of products she used to touch up models faces on editorial photo shoots.
This was years before things like Photoshop was available.
Air Spun is still fragranced with Coty's 1905 L'Origan.
At one point a few years ago, Clinique has a GWP that included a retractable eyeliner in the color black honey. I’ve never seen it since and I LOVED IT. It was such a nice color. ❤️
I also love Revlon lustrous lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon, Audrey Hepburn wore it in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. 💗
Yes same 🥰 💕
OMG LOVE THIS. BUYING NOW.
Wow Kathleen, you made my day! 🥰 Enjoy!
I love love the Black Honey lipstick!! I have had one in my bag for years. I am never without one!
this video was so interesting!! i would definitely watch a part 2 💕
I loved this video! I loved the research you put into the history behind each product. I want beauty youtube to return to this kind of content.
That blush is so beautiful 😍😍😍
Im seriously obessed with your nails. Im always looking at what colors your painting them 😍😍😍
I heard that Arwen wore Black Honey in Lord of the rings… that’s why I bought it and I love it 😍
This is definitely a blast from the past! Love it and everything looks beautiful on you as always!!
This video is awesome not only it was at fun to watch but love the history on the makeup that should definitely be a thing that you do maybe once a month is it research some products and tell us the history about them they don't necessarily have to be old products or old brands but it would be cool to start off with the oldest
Aw my mom has been using that foundation for 30 years! She swears it is what keeps her skin so youthful and glowing ☺️
Kathleen geeking with makeup history…love it! ☺️
My grandmother had very few makeup products, but maybelline great lash and revlon lipstick (I think in rum raisin) and revlon bluch were the three products she kept on hand at all times. She's been gone 17 years now, and great lash reminds me of her all the time.
Absolutely love this!
I loved this video! It's nice how you talked about each product's history and evolution :)
Your skin/and tint looks so freaking good and smoothe!!!
I love Coty Airspun, I literally have had mine for years, I remember my mom using it when I was a kid.
I adore this video idea! Benitint is such a throw back for me! I used to love the benefit gift kits and I remember struggling to blend benitint
I’m obsessed with the Clinique black honey for my everyday lip. I have 3 because I constantly using it
Thank you for sharing makeup history.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! It was so nice to listen to all of your findings in researching these products.
Finally Kathleen! Vintage 90's is awesome. Thank you.
Hearing my favorite beauty youtuber shout out my favorite true crime youtuber is so freaking awesome!!
Oh my goodness!!! This video made me laugh so freaking hard!!!
I remember my mom giving me a tube of Clinique’s Black Honey when I was 16 and I felt so bougie!
I’m 59 now and I just love all of the nostalgia surrounding these products❣️❣️❣️Also, as a True Blood fan back in the day, I had totally forgotten about “V”! When you compared it to the Benefit tint I was literally laughing out loud!!!
Thanks so much, Kathleen, for brightening my day❣️I was close to having an anxiety attack when I saw this video and I’m completely fine now!!! You are the best‼️
I love this video! It's like a makeup history lesson, love it!
Love how creative and informative this video is!!
Kathleen I really looooved this video, so much fun and sooo interesting!!! For us make up lovers this is truly such a brilliant video format! Keep it up if you can! ❤️
When I worked for Clinique I swear I sold at least 1 or more black honey lipstick on the daily if not every other day 😭👏🏽 still a fav of mine !
Love you Kathleen hope you're happy
It’s so fun to hear about make up & history lol 💜 thanks, Kathleen
Loved true blood. That was my favorite show! Awesome vintage video.
love this! you should do a video trying like really vintage makeup like 1920s makeup stuff or products inspired by that time.
I love this video so much! 🤗 Please do another one!
This was fun! I think Jackie Kennedy wore that foundation in the 60s. I tried the AirSpun powder and never liked it. I used to use Benetint, and loved it! Now they sell 3 other colors and the original. You have inspired me to try it again! I thought you might showcase a lipstick from that vintage brand you had years ago. Keep up with the fun content! No pressure, just do what you would want to watch. 😀🌸🥰
A video 2 days in a row of Kathleen's. This is fantastic! ❤️🥰😁
Edit: I'm painting my nails right now with the friends collection and another Lights Lacquer nail polish. Love your polishes and videos so much.
I love watching your vids so much, they relax me, thank you for making them!
OMG I love this we need a part 2!
thx for the tip applying benefit benetint!! i already tried it. works pretty good
I've been using the Maybelline Great Lash mascara since the mid-80s. I've tried other mascaras, but the pink and green tube is the best. It's the only one that doesn't clump on me.
I loved this video so much!! Ive been busy with nursing school and havent been watching much makeup content. But this fired up me up to get back into the groove😭
Ive also been watching you since i was first getting into makeup my 1st year of college like 2016. Been following and supporting since. Youre the best and hope youre happy n healthy!!!☺️💕
Love this concept,I really enjoyed the stroll down memory lane & the fun facts.
Noooo you have to keep watching the marvelous Mrs.Maisel!!!!
i love that lip shade too
thats a really cool concept!!
My mom still uses the Maybelline Great Lash mascara. It will forever remind me of her. Loved this video!
This was a super cool video! Thank you Kathleen!!
What a great concept
I have a tube of Black Honey in my makeup stash and I use Airspun powder DAILY. Forever my go-to.
Native is amazing!! I love their Pink Vanilla Cupcake!!
I love that you know what true blood is! I’m only 21 and I love that show! I’ve been watching you on RUclips since I started high school in 2013
My mom always used Great Lash Mascara back in the 80’s and I’d always go into her makeup box and swatch and try her makeup.
I LOVED this video!! Please keep on doing this things! Love history and make up all in one
this video was sooo fun and so interesting! i love all the research that went into it, i feel like i learned a lot as a beauty enthusiast :)
Omgggg LOVE THIS LOOK
Love this video girlie!!!!
I loved that you mentioned True Blood.
We love Native! Especially when they work with our girl Kathleen
I still use a lot of these products! I forgot how much I loved some of them. I love Shopping My Stash
A few years ago, you spoke about your "empties" on one of your videos and you mentioned Native deodorant. I gave it a try and loved it! I ONLY use Native deodorant now! Thank you for the awesome recommendation❤️ Many years ago, I gave Tom's a try, it was a lavender deodorant. I broke out terribly and developed rashes that scabbed. Ended up with terrible, dark scarring. Nothing lightened my underarm scarring 😩 Till I tried Native, that's the only thing that's naturally lightened my underarms (It took about 6-8 months to notice the difference, but it's helped greatly).
Because of you, I bought the shampoo, conditioner and hair mask; the ones you showed in your video and they’re AMAAAAAZINGGGG !! Especially for my daughter; Ella es mulata. her hair is beautiful, and I take care of her hair a lot. I also started using their face wash that smells like citrus. And OMG ITS AMAZING. And they’re such an amazing price!! Omgggg
I LOVE the idea behind this video! Love it 🥰
Whenever I see your videos on my feed I feel nostalgic. I truly miss your makeup tutorials. Your makeup tutorials are one of my favorites to watch because you are so creative with your makeup.
I know you’ve been busy with your other two businesses and it’s hard to juggle RUclips, I just wish I saw you on here more often.
Same girl. I love her makeup tutorials. It bums me out that she doesn't do many anymore. 😭
I still use the airspun powder. It's so good and cheap. The best.
Please do more videos like this, Kathleen! You can start a new rampage for something that used to be the rage and is still sold, only 6 bucks, and is now forgotten: La Femme blush, specifically in Golden Dew Amber (this was a blush/contour used on many news anchors baaaaack in the day). Their cooler best seller is Cloudy Pink, and Nectar Peach is so amazing on fair skin. I bet folks would love a new, inexpensive, hard-working and gorgeous “new” thing. It’s only sold in pans now, but they used to have the most awesome vintage package, but hey, it’s 6 bucks.
Love this video! Brings back so many memory as the ysl pen was one of the first item I actually saved money to buy! And benetint jus reminds me of watching my sister do her makeup when I was 7. Thank you ❤️
Let me add I love when you do videos like this Omg ❤️
This video makes fall in love with beauty videos, thanks Kathleen, you and RawBeautyKristi are the only ones I’m still subscribed.
I loved the true blood reference!!! It’s for sure in my top 10 shows of all time!!! Also have good memories around watching it too!! Love you Kathleen 🥰
Ponds cold cream. Still use it and my grandma used it and recommended it to me when I started wearing makeup
Ponds has been around since 1846, Nivea since 1882, Este Lauder Doublewear foundation 1997
omg love this sm such a throwback🥹❤️
Loved this video and all the little history lessons!!! Great idea!
You’ve made me want to buy a new benetint (used to have it years ago but not any more) & definitely wanna try the black honey lipstick!!
This video was fun! Would definitely be down for more of this kinda thing.
Your joy in this one, and in the Care Bear collection reveal, plus the little hint about *some* secret-ish future palette … YAY!!! Happy Gemini time, Kathleen 💛🧡💚
I very much enjoyed this video. Thank you!
History plus your fun personality equals a lovely time.
So happy you uploaded🖤💫
