2 : “ನಾನು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಮದ್ಯದ ಬುಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳು ಆ ಬುಡ್ಡಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದು ಮತ್ತರಾಗಿ, ಅತ್ತಿತ್ತ ಓಲಾಡುವರು. ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಜುದೇಯವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವುದು.
3 : ಆ ದಿನದಂದು ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಭಾರಿ ಬಂಡೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ತೀವ್ರ ಗಾಯವಾಗುವುದು. ವಿಶ್ವದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಾಕಲು ಕೂಡಿಬರುವುವು.
4 : ಆಗ ಅವರ ಕುದುರೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ತಬ್ಬಿಬ್ಬಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ರಾಹುತರನ್ನು ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳಿಸುವೆನು. ಜುದೇಯ ಮನೆತನವನ್ನು ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಇತರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳ ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರುಡಾಗಿಸುವೆನು.
5 : ಆಗ ಜುದೇಯದ ನಾಯಕರೆಲ್ಲ ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೇ; ‘ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಶಕ್ತಿಸಾಮಥ್ರ್ಯ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಸರ್ವೇಶ್ವರನಾದ ದೇವರೇ’ ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು
6 : “ಆ ದಿನದಂದು ಜುದೇಯದ ಕುಲನಾಯಕರನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇರುವ ಅಗ್ಗಿಷ್ಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಉರಿಯುವ ಪಂಜನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಎಡಬಲವೆನ್ನದೆ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವರು. ಜೆರುಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದರೋ ತಮ್ಮ ನಗರದಲ್ಲೇ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರುವರು.
ಇಸ್ರೆಲಿಗೆ ಜಯವು ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ
ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ದೇವರು ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರು, ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿಗರು ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡ್ದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನ ದಂಡಿಸಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ನೂ ಕಲ್ತಿಸ್ತಾರೆ, ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಆಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕೂಗುವಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪಿಸೋದಕ್ಕೂ ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನ ಕೆಣಕಿದ್ದರೆ ದೇವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಲಾರರು. ಬೈಬಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಕರ್ಯ 2:8ರಲ್ಲಿ 'ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವವನು ಆತನ (ದೇವರ) ಕಣ್ಣುಗುಡ್ಡೆಯನ್ನು ತಾಕುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
