The reason why your hits weren't as delayed as usual may be because the client you bought has a NoClickDelay feature. NoClickDelay is a module that is present in pvp clients as well as many hacked clients like Vape V4, Rise 6, etc. It changes the way your hits are registered, and makes 1.8.9 pvp more like 1.7. The issue with this is that NoClickDelay is actually a bannable module on hypixel, so I would check to see if the client contains NoClickDelay.
