I'm constantly told Golf parts don't fit on the Cabrio, but with the exception of the front fenders, the rear trunk lid, and the top. The entire rest of he car is a Golf. I'm still gonna do my thing, I live in an area that sucks. If you drive a VW,people look at you funny, But I'm used to it, been driving customized air cooled VW's for over 30 years. Now it's time to go topless. 😎
Juan Santiago it's funny how guys take time and post these but won't reply. My cabby is already VR swapped and modded way beyond this one (but tastefully done). I have a 700hp set up in the works. I have huge Wilwood R32 brakes/a cage/1552 Kandy Turbomac...full sundown audio/focal 6 speed gli trans...I may go haldex/dutch built SAC. I must admit as a community my fellow VW enthusiasts are duchebags and elitists. I take the car to local muscle car shows where the story always involves a bug they once had...but thier friendly @ least. Mine was the Dave linger car.

I bought the Farenheit VR Cabby. The VR swap is no big problem to do. You can use the six speed trans from the gli. If you ever need info let me know.

What year is it? Mines 95... did you install the button to drop the top? Or did it come that way? Mine I have to do it manually
my 97 has an automatic roof too they come standard on later model ones
