And everyone saying that he should have bought this and that guys please understand everyone buys car as per the requirement and budget and also based on the suggestions from friends and family. So a lot of research goes before buying a new car.
Congratulations on the new car! You mentioned it will be driven only in city in Jabalpur (which is a small city) so you are not going to have a high running requirement and thus don't need a diesel vehicle. The price of diesel is inching close to petrol & in future will retain at almost the same level & Govts are pushing towards phasing out older diesel vehicles like NCR. VW Taigun or Skoda Kushaq (especially Monte Carlo) would have been a really good choice too plus the added advantage of being safe in case you occasionally go on the highway even for short runs. Technologically they are advanced.
Good decision my friend . Many Congratulations 🥳 If I were in your place I would have gone for Virtus gt . Everyone can drive it and I can have fun as much as I want . Also since your car will not be driven more than 5k km per year , a petrol car makes more sense in long term maintenance. Just my opinion though .
Virtus gt cannot deliver mileage like creta. Also creta diesel is cheaper than virtus gt and diesel price is cheaper than petrol. Creta is also a safe bet when considering it's resale value compared to virtus. Virtus gt also has a very long delivery time.
@@user-wn6yv9cu1p his running doesn’t justify a Diesel engine . Anyone who is buying a diesel must drive atleast 20k km per year . Also maintenance of a Diesel engine is more expensive . Resale does depend on when your are selling the car and in which city . For eg . in Delhi petrol cars have better resale since diesel cars are permitted to just 10 years . Also creat too have almost same waiting period . Now creta is far behind in terms handling , power , dynamics , exclusivity, safety , build quality , etc . Cheers !!

A very matured decision Aman, I must say. No matter what....Creta is a complete package wrt family & comfort. Creta is a city car & since drive will primarily in city so makes a lot of sense. Servicing will be hassle free compared to TATA. Regarding safety.....5 star, 4 star, 3 star.....doesn't really matter in city where speed will be constantly monitored by speed guns.
@@dhruvilkumpavat6037 Good Point.....Lekin safety matlab scratches ka baat nahi ho raha hai .....Safety matlab accidents ka baat ho raha hai bhai. Tata & Mahindra build quality is No 1.....but they too get scratches. Point was since city mei speed limits check pe rehti hai so accidental incidents ka chances kam hai.
But you should understand that accident doesn't always happens due to our fault. Sometimes it happens due to others also whether in city limits or highway. So a safer car is always better over any comfort or luxury. And this doesn't means that safer cars don't have comfort or luxury. What it lacks are some extra features, that's it. And also it is not a problem when normal people take creta over harrier or any other car but influencers who talk a lot about safety of cars on their channel and also recommend safer cars in their previous videos tend to do this mistake and lose subscribers who feel genuinely misguided.
@@akshaysethia7708 Yes brother....totally agreed.... But I guess what happens is reality .....It doesn't matter how much one emphasizes on safety, or cover in their reviews, the fact is that people like us need to take the final call - safety vs features vs usability. I treat the info & content on YT as purely knowledge & use it as a guide but ultimately its my decision what I make / select. Just because someone has not rated a particular vehicle safely built compared to other vehicles but he has got that vehicle shouldn't result in loss of subscribers for that person. The only problem of creta is it looks awful... And next taigun is way better because if your family is only driving the car than petrol would be fine as the difference between petrol and diesel price is minimum

Very practical decision brother. I agree with you 100 % i wanted a city car. I bought an Hyundai Aura for city. For high way purpose i have other car. It all depends on your requirement. Safety matters definitely. All that 90% matters on highway
Buying a diesel is not a good choice. Petrol and Diesel prices are going to be the same due to the great govt of Modiji. Diesel is high on maintenance and you need to shell out more. The only advantage is slightly more power and pickup. And if you don't drive much, it's not worth the extra money you need to pay up for diesel.
Tata Harrier comparison means Diesel mill. Hyundai diesel Mills have DPF issue. Fiat's 2.0 in Harrier is good. One is great feature wise other is great performance wise. So I will ditch both and get a Honda diesel provided they don't have such DPF issues.
I would ditch every other car you named and get a XUV 7OO, a car which has more features, more performance, more safety ,reliable and more VFM...but the waiting period🥴

Harrier would have been a good choice as the veh you had taken is not by choice but by chance. So don't worry sometimes family comes first as always enjoy driving.
Creta is a good package obviously between 15 to 20L. However, creta and seltos are the most unsafe cars above 15L by a big margin so that should be a deal breaker for ppl who are aware about this. Safety is not something you can analyse if it's needed for you. Everyone needs it. Even within the city anyone could hit you on a red light or some drunk driver could hit you

I don't agree, XUV 300 diesel 1.5 is much better choice, even new brezza 1.5 also much better than creta I know it's in petrol but u can get 6 speed TC, it will perform better supporting vehicle for ur family for 15 year easily,
If buyer doesn't care about bootspace, then XUV 300 is miles ahead better than any in the segment. But the future of diesel cars in India is questionable.
Jeep compass sports diesel 1.Little over budget but it comes with exceptional ride quality 2.Cabin feel is unequaled, it feels ultra premium with soft touch across 3.Very good build quality
Well Brezza could have been another option which is good with mileage and in cabin space. I cancelled Nexon too for the very same reason as yours as i was coming from my wide cabin experience of Matiz. Built quality is good as well. But irrespectively, Creta is still such a good car. I will also buy Creta in a heartbeat as i love the interior premium design and its exterior, along with the infotainment system. But am going with Brezza zxi+ manual as i saved some money as compared to high variants of Creta. Happy for you. Congratuations man.
@@sanathan4072 Wide cabin is when you have no obstruction with vision of the outside and feels airy due to streamlined windows rather than couped up windows. Nexon is spacious at the inside but can be claustrophobic for some due to the coupe design and lower window space unlike WagonR or Matiz where the lower setting of windows makes the cabin more airy and wide. I booked Nexon after i had taken a test drive. But cancelled it once i tried the co pilot seat as that turned out to be a disorienting experience as my head was almost touching the roof side. Plus Nexon has issues with the back design as the rear view was not clean for me via IRVM, which compromised my safety as i prefer the IRVM to gauge the back traffic. Plus the gearbox needs tuning as the gear shifting is not smooth. I wanted to buy nexon as the VFM factor is the highest amongst all sub 4 meter SUV. But when i considered the practical aspects, i need the the open airy cabin experience of WagonR and Matiz as i didnt want to compromise on that. That made Brezza the was most sensible rather than Nexon for the longer run even though it was costly than Nexon.
@@sanathan4072 i needed a jack of all trade car. Didnt considered XUV for the boot space and outdated features. Plus i need a naturally aspirated petrol engine and XUV 300 is not very good with mileage too. So Brezza it is.
It's always the first scratch of your car that hurts the most💔 but then you get used to it as you cannot avoid scratches or dents on Indian road conditions, especially on country roads.
brother early scratch is sort of shagun. accept it 😛 -if mainly focused on city drive then why not automatic(hastle free drive in traffic),compact(easy to park and maneuver),petrol(since diesel power won't be useful; less drive so petrol mileage would've been ok) suv? and congrats for the car and for the beautiful house especially those serene sunsets. -
I too love Creta, so waiting for it's facelift model. But what about the standard safety features of Creta (Seltos has already made many as standard already ) ?
Bro CONGRATULATIONS!!! Great analysis = Gread decision.. I have a small question... GRAND VITARA Mild Hybrid Zeta MT (15Lakhs with 16 Mileage in Urban) VERSUS Creta EX Diesel MT (15 Lakhs with 16 Mileage in Urban) cornered on these 2 finally... What do you suggest... My driving is One Thousand KIlometers a month in city. I absolutely loved creta diesel test drive while G.V. Yet to reveal cars to dealership. Kindly advise. Thank you.
If you have urgent requirement, go for creta........your decision won't we wrong! Since you said city driving, it's great in every area...... peace of mind ownership & high resale value! But if you want your car to be future proof,......wait for a while.....let the reviews of grand vitara come out & decide accordingly! Beyond your 2 options:- Since you mentioned more city driving, consider low running cost cars like CNG's, Mild Hybrid's & Ev's which are also low on maintenance!
Entry and Exit in any car after using Wagon R it is bound to happen, I used Wagon R for 9 years and then changed to big premium Hatchback then also including my family (all are shorter guys even then) they felt that discomfort while getting in and our for first about a year or so.
Congrats on new car!! This happens to new cars. Minor scratches lagte rahenge initially bahut dard hota hai. But you get used to it as time goes by. Finally it's just an object!! Don't worry 🤗🤗😃😃

Cheers !!
@@vipinsuriya007 lol... 'anyone who buys a diesel car must drive 20k kms per year' 🤣 what kind of dumb statement was dat?😂 he is not like a cab driver. If u can comfortably invest on buying a diesel car than it doesn't matter how less or more ur driving sessions are, u r anyway going to save money on its running costs. Maintenance of hyundai diesel cars is not high like vw or skoda, infact hyundai makes the most frugal, refined and reliable diesel engines. I hav 2012 model neo fluidic elantra sx1.6 crdi, not a single engine work is done still runs smooth and fast.
😂
Bhai bahane marne h Or hyundai fan ho to kya hi bole city me low speed me bhi built test hoti to he na or scratch easily lagte h
But this is what I feel & I respect your feelings.🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good choice, and the points you have considered keeping in mind that family will be driving most of the time that too in city which is a very mature decision and I can truly connect with you.

Bro the reason is tata and mhaindra don't have the cars like seltos and creta on the same price range
Like tata Nexon is little less space according to creta and seltos
And mhaindra xuv300 have less boot space as you in a family boot space is really needed

If you go for harrier it's out of budget
And mhaindra xuv 700 is also out of budget

I feel nexon little more up comparing to brezza
