My wife and I were at this and it was incredible. The MSO is amazing. The band was amazing. The whole show was insane. Just to arrange this was huge. The rehearsals must have been incredible. The put makeup on every member of the orchestra must have been an amazing feat on its own. One of the greatest gigs we have been to. KISS nuts since the beginning, my wife and I loved every second. In fact we were in a music store tonight buying up, including KISS memorabilia and were chatting to a staff member about this concert that we attended. Then you guys pop up on my feed reacting to DRC! Epic on so many levels. Great reaction. Thanks!!!
Yes,KISS started wearing the makeup back in 1973. The 1st album came out in 1974. They took the makeup off in 1983 and then put it back on in 1996 and have been wearing it ever since. You probably know that the band lineup has changed several times during the last 49 years mainly with lead guitar players (5) and drummers (3),but Paul and Gene have been there since the very beginning!
I would say that each ALIVE has it's own special moments that stand the test of time in it's own way. Here a idea listen to each song from ALIVE to ALIVE IV and create your own set list and what stage setup would you use to make a ULTAIMATE kiss concert?
Went to a KISS concert in 1974 the best experience ever they had fire 🔥 shooting out of both sides of the stage among a hundred other things KISS puts on the best stage show ever like Pink Floyd Does. Great Memories.......
Your reaction is awesome! That’s exactly how I felt seeing KISS for the first time as a kid. The excitement, the amazement…that’s what music and imagery can do. Just found your channel…Subscribed!
You really have not heard this song until you hear this off the original Kiss Destroyer Album, this actually starts with a kid in his house listening to the news, the reporter is saying a Teen was killed in a motor vehicle accident in a head on collision, on his way to a concert, through out the song you hear his car rev, and motor running and the Kiss Song , I wanna Rock and Roll all night, playing on the radio in the back ground. When the last note comes instead of a drop, tires screech and you hear the crash and broken glass and twisting metal it much more effective as this was actuallt written about that fan who really died on his way to the concert from Drunk driving.
It's weird no one has requested vintage KISS on your channel. They started with the makeup in 1973 and took it off in 1983. They put it back on in 1995 for the reunion and have kept it on ever since.
Really liked the reaction. That said, I can't say I appreciate the positioning the pauses... right in the the middle of a guitar solo!!!!!!? Please.........!
le grá ó Éirinn... Really enjoyed your review. Seriously..watching your faces in amazement. Please have a listen to Sinead O'Connor 'Song for the Siren' .. now this will give you the shivers.
Looked and sounded great, pretty sure my brother went to one of these performances. So based on the flags and Vic number plate gonna say this was Melbourne?
arguably the best symphony song (i prefer LOVE GUN) - i was so proud to be there and took my little brother as i did to the reunion tour (when he was 15)
This concert is so hard to watch. Not because it doesn't sound great, but because they edited shots so fast is too distracting. lol. The video has a much better mix than the cd version. In the video version you can hear the symphony so much better. That being said, these songs sound amazing in this format! I still prefer the Detroit 1984 concert better :)
I wish they also toured with an orchestra back then. Too expensive I guess. But they could have played with different local orchestras. Too much work rehearsing with each though
I mean nostalgia wise Peter was the right call, but Eric's got the style and vocals. Of the 2 Eric's the better drummer, ofc this opinion varies quite a lot
@@stillbrian9448 Singer definitely the better drummer, Carr still in my heart (you can tell by my profile pic, saw the first Aussie concert with him) and Peter, obviously the original, love him too.
I was at this show and it was brilliant. Act 2 was an acoustic set with a string ensemble and they never sounded better.
It was bombastic. Perfect combination of black tie and black leather.
Yes that was awesome!
Act 3 was the best.

🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 been lucky enough to see kiss 3 times live but unfortunately didn't get to see this concert but got the DVD and it's awsome
Glad you reacted to this!! It’s an amazing show they put on!!
This live is fantastic !!!!!!! Check out the song "sure know something"
Such a great performance!! The orchestra wearing the make up was so cool 😎 Paul sounded great
OMG……”Black Diamond” from this concert is the absolute best !….Banger galore !
I WAS THERE!!! 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Me too! \m/
Very cool you got to see this. Wish this would have come to the US. Think it would have done very well. I would have gone in a heartbeat.
One of the songs from this show they had the Melbourne Childrens Choir perform with them
Love it when you guys react to KISS!! Keep it up!!
GREAT concert! I was THERE! BEST I'd ever seen KISS to that point! (Apart form 90s line up!)
I would say that each ALIVE has it's own special moments that stand the test of time in it's own way. Here a idea listen to each song from ALIVE to ALIVE IV and create your own set list and what stage setup would you use to make a ULTAIMATE kiss concert?
Very good suggestion!
Good one!

This album and this show are Amazing with a band at the top
This technically alive 5 cause the millennium concert was titled KISS Alive: Millennium and was recorded in Vancouver Canada in 1999
Your reaction is awesome! That’s exactly how I felt seeing KISS for the first time as a kid. The excitement, the amazement…that’s what music and imagery can do. Just found your channel…Subscribed!
At the end of the show they had some commentary from a few of the orchestra, they said it was fun

About 150,000…..and you two deserve it.
I was one of those lucky 13 year Old kids that had a KISS Lunch box, in the late 1970s!
You guys should watch black Diamond from the symphony concert it was incredible
Yes! This makes me want to go back and revisit this show. It had some good moments.
Check out Great Expectations from that same concert, it's fantastic when the choir comes on stage
that is the original drummer peter criss playing he was contracted to do this before he split form the reunion tour
i was there my home town melbourne australia great times.
That was insane! loved it!
Tommy Thayer’s 1st full time gig with Kiss.
Finally a great React again! Detroit City Epic 👍
KISS #1
Another epic episode Travis and Suzy. Would love to know if you'd ever do reactions to tribute bands?
I was there it was a awesome gig
I was there and it was a brilliant show. Try and catch Great Expectations from the same show
Seen a couple of these, also gamemusdic played by symphonyorchestras and im sure they also have a blast
like i have hangin with you ♥

Makeup TOTALLY came first. I remember when they took it off.

The conductor is even wearing Gene Simmons makeup.
React to Kiss - Still Love You MTV Unplugged.
This is awesome but the best concert I've heard with an orchestra is Metallica S&M.
'Memory Remains' & 'Fuel' with a full band backup is incredible
Looked and sounded great, pretty sure my brother went to one of these performances. So based on the flags and Vic number plate gonna say this was Melbourne?
Yes it was in what was then known as Colonial Stadium. The roof closes on this stadium and the sound was amazing!
@@samuraidarryl yep thought so, I'm in Melbourne so know it well, checked with my brother who said he was there!
Didn't LISTEN/Read did you?
@@samuraidarryl Tesltra Dome!

You really should react to Beth and or Black Diamond from this show.
Awesome, they play this song last in concert today close out the show 🤘😎👌🎸👍😆🤘🎸🥁🎤
Not rock and roll all night? That's Interesting

Exactly. Gives me seizures. Ugh.
Agree. Very surprised this edit was approved. It does make it jarring to watch.

Would have been perfect with eric singer on drums :(
Any relation?…
