As a teenager of the current era the only real experience we’ve had of trying to figure shit out on our own behind adults backs was trying to work around Chromebooks. Every kid for the past 6 years or so has had their own school Chromebook where they did their work on. And sure we had the computer room before that but the main difference was it’s portability, and the schools ability to ban any site district wide. So people would create entire websites, sometimes dedicated to one game, just so everyone else could play it during school. Even if it only lasted four days before being banned. Cause the district would recognize a lot of traffic on this random site, check it out, and block it. The most recent example was towards the end of this last school year in high school when one of my friends discovered this beta build of Minecraft someone in the school made the day before. It was hilarious blasting the volume up to 11 and eating pork chops while the room was almost dead silent. Although breaking wood and leaf blocks was arguably funnier. By the end of the period half the class was blasting whatever they were doing in their world at max volume and I’d never laughed cried harder. (There was a sub btw I’m not a total dick, we weren’t doing anything that day). But even the most beautiful flower must one day wilt, as when seventh hour came the entire school had their hands on it, and the site breathed its last breath five days later. But I’m glad it only lasted so long, because the only thing that makes lucky charms marshmallows so special is how much the little brown pieces suck ass.
