Been a fan since 94 when Loser came out. Had a bandmate that swore he was the next Beck so I kinda got burnt out on Odelay, as great as that album is, he just overplayed it. Still a fan but his lyrical writing is nowhere near the same as it was. Kinda miss that era Beck. Anyway, this remix is the poopoo, love it!! And happy birthday to you Beck, my mom's is tomorrow.
Morning Phase lyrically was solid - Colors aimed to be the perfect pop album that so many 90's artist felt like they needed to make in order to be relevant. It suffered for it despite being a fun album- But yes- Beck peaked at Sea Change for sure.
